Went to Georgetown for the January Art Attack– we went to a wine tasting event put on by David LeClaire. That was super cool! We went to a few other places to check out the art. To end the night we went to 9lb Hammer and got hammered. Interesting to meet the guys that make the drywall, not the guys that own the drywall company. Yep we met boys and Yep one of us… well– it was fun. Since then I go back all the time. Looking for furniture, an art studio/live space, food and a new life to live. It’s a quick bridge cross back to the bubble of Bellevue for work. Could be awhile for that since the whole, where do you park your car at 2am and walk to your door safely, thing is stuck in my head. Someone should do a coffee table photo book of the people down there. It’s fabulous. Second Saturday approaches. Georgtown calls me again.

I have decided I really love Georgetown. It is such an awesome and comfortable place to wander around. There is a wonderful, eclectic collection of businesses. And a wonderful, eclectic collection of people. And everyone is made to feel at home. No one cares about what you look like. Or what you’re wearing. Or who you hang out with. If you are there for a good time and to cause no trouble, you are welcome. On the Second Saturday of each month, from 6:00 — 9:00PM, the streets of Georgetown become even more outstanding when Art Attack takes over. During this time, business owners, many of whom are displaying the works of a local artist, open the doors to their shops and restaurants and galleries, and invite the all who want to come on in – look at the art, check out the business, have a glass of wine, and just hang out, talk, and make friends. Some artists open their studios as well, which just makes the event even more interesting and fun. Everybody is very welcoming and friendly. And, when you’ve had you’ve had enough art or are just ready to rest your feet, you can go fill your tummy at one of Georgetown’s many fabulous eateries. Art Attack is a great way to while away a few very enjoyable hours. With the weather only getting nicer at this point in the year, I can see myself being happily attacked by art several times during the coming months.
