So first off don’t ever go to this place. All they care about is money. If you have a out standing balance or if you miss an appointment you get sent to collection or get a so called interest charge. It’s actually kind of funny back in 2014 I had such a horrible experience with this business I wrote a bad Unilocal review and the owner called me and said she would dismiss my charges if I took down my Unilocal review. At the time being a student I compiled so I could save some money. A year later my girlfriend wanted to go to a spa in Greenlake and she made massage appointments at the worst massage parlor on earth. But she wanted to go so I agreed. A guy wants to make his girlfriend happy. But then my girlfriend who had never been a client before cant make it and makes me cancel. Surprise surprise I not only got one late fee I got too. $ 45 each for NOTHING! Wasn’t surprised though and just laughed it off. Told them to send me a bill. Never received anything from them and I just got a call saying my bill for not showing up to my appointment is gaining interest. I didn’t know bills at massage parlors add interest to their bills. So just be warned if you go there pay every cent or they will find a way to charge you. Avoid this place. Your money is better spent elsewhere and back will feel much better.

I absolutely love Green Lake Massage Health Center. I see Jennifer on a monthly basis and she is absolutely amazing. I swear, each time I return, the massage gets better and better! Highly recommend going to her as she’s super atune to your body and what needs working on.

What a great place! Josef is my favorite, but anyone else I had was fantastic as well. I love that they take insurance. Every time I get out I am absolutely relaxed.

I thought you should know that I called for the first time to make an appointment. I left a message in the morning before you were open and did not hear back. So I called again at noon. The receptionist said that she checks messages and there were a lot. Her cluelessness, no insult intended, was very evident as I asked her many questions to ascertain why I had not been called back. She hadn’t written anything down from any morning messages This gives me the impression that my business is not important and that there is a lack of professionalism. I know this is a little thing, but it is a hint of what I can expect at Green Lake Massage.

I came here to get a massage for a sore neck after going on the bumper cars with my kids (never again!). They paired me up with Dave Oder who diagnosed whiplash. For the next hour he worked expertly with just the right amount of pressure on my neck and back and I was pain free after that. It was awesome. I don’t normally get massages just for fun — I usually get them for a specific issues and this place felt really good to me. The staff is professional, the place is clean and quiet, booking an appointment was easy and I found a parking spot pretty close by.

I loove this place. They saved me! I was having horrible back spasms and my doctor wrote me a referal. I had never had a massage before so I was kind of nervous and uncomfortable about the whole thing. But no worries at all! Amy was so kind and knowledgable. She spent the first few minutes talking to me, getting to know me, and learning about my concerns. Then it was the most relaxing 60 minutes. the massage is given in a private dim room with soft music and the table is heated. She communicated what she was doing because this was my first massage experience. Another great thing. they found out my insurance wouldnt cover it and they called me in advance to give me a chance to opt out of my next appointment. I loved that communication. I decided to go anyway. and Elizabeth was great too. They keep charts so they know your history etc. I will be going once a month for sure! Sounds like the person who wrote the negative review probably has an allergy to sented lotions. but I am sure they would use unsented if they knew. My sister in law, brother in law, and fiancé love this place too. A++++++ Thank you for saving my back!!!

I LOVE this place! I see Elizabeth and she is absolutely fantastic. She always takes time to talk to me and ask how I’m doing and how my symptoms are. She always puts me at ease and makes me feel relaxed, not to mention she gives a DAMN fine massage.
The atmosphere is very relaxing, including the lobby. Margaret in the front office is always pleasant, friendly, and has always remembered my name since my first appointment.
I can’t recommend this place enough!

I should start off by saying my rating is mostly over the practitioner (s) rather than the place itself. Location isn’t bad, parking can be a little hard sometimes, but reasonable for Greenlake. Pricing is normal. Staff and admin overall seem nice and well organized. Booking is pretty easy to get in.
I have never had a worst massage though. I tried a couple therapists there, the first was ok, not my style needed. I should comment that I repeatedly asked for a specific practitioner for my style preference and needs of deeper work as a competitive tri-​athlete. I came in on an insurance claim specifically asking for deeper work only from my mid back through my shoulder girdle and neck. I told her I get massage 2x week and already got my lower body worked 2 days ago. I’ll get it worked again next week. I mentioned specific activities and muscles that were causing intense disabling pain in my neck and shoulders. I mentioned before I got on the table and on the table 2x my pressure preference which never changed. I mentioned my low back last minute before we started, and said «in case we have extra time». She spent hardly any time where I wanted. Worked my lower back a lot, worked and jostled my legs a lot. When she started shaking the front of my leg after working the back and turning me over I asked for her to just PLEASE work on my neck– she said she’d get there and continued, then to my next leg. Then again when she started on the next leg I said «just my neck, please» she gave me a lame excuse about how she was loosening my bones and connective tissue… Yes but that’s not what i asked for! Then she did light work on my neck. So disappointed with my experience there, went 3x and not willing to risk waisting anymore time or money there. Bummer because it was convenient and I like to support local.
I could have done better using my foam roll and sitting in a hot tube at the gym for 60 minutes.

Clean, relaxing, very professional, great availability. I can only go on Sunday evenings and they’re always open — even on the 4^th of July! I see Corrinne for sciatic nerve pain after having a baby and she does a fantastic job. She also does prenatal massage and is a doula so she offers a lot of great advice.

This is THE place to go if you are looking for a serious massage. And by serious, I mean you want someone’s elbow in your butt, you want to have to breathe through the pain, you want it to hurt-​so-​good. This is NOT the place to come, smell foofy candles and be pampered. Greenlake massage is all about the therapeutic massage! Praise be! I have been looking for my perfect masseuse for years — that person who could find my knots, beat them into submission, and leave me feeling tender but relaxed. Melissa is your woman! I also really like Joe, but I prefer Melissa. Both do some serious deep tissue work and will focus on your problem areas, which is nice. I also appreciate that Greenlake Massage takes my insurance. Life is good.

I’ve been going here on and off for years. The place is very clean, staff is very professional, and the place is nicely decorated with a calming atmosphere. They also take all kinds of insurance and billing is efficient.
I normally see Jay but since he’s always booked up, I’ve also seen Corinne, and they are both great. The only negative is the parking, it can be pretty tight and I usually circle the block a few times before finding something within a 2-​block range.

I go for a pregnancy massage through a prescription and I totally reccommend it. I’ve seen many of the therapists there and my favorites so far are Kari, Melissa and Lowell. All professional and all do an amazing job!
I like the ambiance, peaceful and relaxing. I haven’t had a problem booking an evening massage but I do need to plan at least a week in advance.
The only downside is the parking. They dont’ have a reserved lot so you have to battle it out with the neighbors (townhouses and apts) for a street parking spot. I have never had to go further than a block but still wish parking was easier.

DO NOT GO HERE! the positive reviews are bogus. this place is gross. the lotion they use causes rashes and their accounting dept is completely incompetent. i paid, kept receiving notices that i didn’t and now i need to prove i paid. seriously… massage is supposed to destress. not this place. itchy rashes are stressful and so is talking to accounting. yikes. go somewhere else for sure!!!

I’ve been to see Melissa twice, and I’m a huge fan of hers! She listens to what I want to work on and then gets down to business. This isn’t a relaxing massage. She does hard work to get through the issues that landed me with a prescription for massage therapy in the first place. I appreciate her professionalism!
The office itself is nice; relaxing and quiet. Making my appointment was easy, they mailed me the paperwork, so I was all set when it came time for my appointment. They take have a ton of practitioners who take Regence (which apparently is a hard thing to find!). Since this is greenlake, parking can be iffy in the neighborhood. But I’ve been lucky both times and parked within a block.

I just came back from a massage here, and I’m in massage-​coma. Wonderful wonderful experience. My therapist was very professional, very respectful, and very good at what she does. It’s not an ostentatious place, which I like, and prices are reasonable, especially if you are not getting your massage covered by insurance.
I notice a lot of people giving insurance info, so it seems like a great option if your insurance covers massage (oh how I wish mine did!)

I’ve been going here on and off for years. The staff is professional and courteous always, and every massage therapist I’ve seen here is either very good or excellent. They are good with insurance and often able to get a massage scheduled on short notice.

I was surprised at how large this practice is; I think there are 20 licensed massage therapists here! I’ve seen perhaps 7 or 8 of them, and all are extremely professional, and you typically get about 58 minutes of massage– they don’t schedule back-​to-​back like at some practices. Also, of the dozen or more appointments I’ve had, not ONCE has anyone been even 30 seconds late.
The best thing about this practice? Open EVERY day of the week, including evenings! They work with insurance, of course, and I know that they’re a Regence preferred provider (just because that’s my insurance).
I strongly recommend this place to anyone!
