Such fun to be had here! I’ve been visiting for years and am always impressed at the amazingly quick wit of the performers. The theater is showing it’s age, and the show costs $ 15. Usually the comedy is clean enough to take kids 11+, but I very rarely see them. Most of the audience is collage age.

Not always funny, but usually a good show! We have our favorites, and we often wonder how come some of them don’t have a sitcom!

Attended the 8 pm Saturday show(regular improv) and had the best time! The players were excellent and very funny. Popcorn, candy and beverages available — including a full bar. A great date night activity!

Let’s save us all some time here, shall we? It’s improv, you already know what it is. If you show up randomly on a Friday night with some friends, will you laugh? Hell yes you will. Will you chuckle at times but otherwise think it was a little awkward? Don’t worry, that won’t happen. You’ll feel involved and committed to their work, and feel happy to be part of the community for at least a night. Take your date here, because who knows, they might be tricked into thinking you’re the spontaneous funny one if you laugh enough at their jokes. Seriously, check these guys out. They’ve provided me with a lot of laughs in a very short amount of time, you owe it to yourself.

Jet City Improv is the place to be! We saw Ear Goggles(formally The Sibling Rivalry) record their 10 year anniversary show. They recounted some of their favorite memories form the past 10 years & the improv actors acted parts out. The actors were absolutely hilarious! I also loved the atmosphere. The bright yellow building draws you in. It’s pretty small but it made it feel cozy. Definitely would pop in next time I visit Seattle.

Didn’t know what to expect because I’ve never been to a real Improv show before. It was a blast! I was only in town for one night and this place came up on Unilocal so decided to give it a shot. It was awesome! I highly recommend. Prices are decent and great show. Different show every time you go.

Jet City Improv has a special place in my heart because it was the locale for my second date ever with my boyfriend a long long time ago. BUT as a completely objective third party this place is awesome! The improv here is really funny, they do a good amount of audience participation, and it’s just a fun place to go laugh till you pee yourself. And it’s a pretty good place for a date, too. Clearly it worked on me!

I love love love improv, and frequent the UW’s Collective improv shows, and I’ve been meaning to come see a Jet City Improv show for a couple years now. I was stoked to finally be able to make it out to a show. I went to see the flagship Jet City Improv show on Saturday at 8pm. I arrived at ~7:40 to get tickets and seats, and was able to find pretty good spots to the right of the stage. The theater is small and cozy which is great for improv! The improv games were classic and audience involvement was on point. There were also 3 birthdays being celebrated and it was cool to see them participate in the games! P. S. Drinks at Jet City are not badly priced at all! Not much is better than a nice cold beer and quality comedy.

Great little place! With a student ID tickets are $ 12. It’s worth the $ 12. If you are considering a movie or a first visit to jet city, definitely go with jet city it’s a much better investment for your money! The theater is a bit old on the outside and inside which can turn some people off like it did me. I thought, old building, improv by people that wouldn’t be funny… Not worth my time, right? Wrong! I was laughing so hard throughout the entire show. I can’t wait to go back again. The seats are clean and comfortable and the theater is small and intimate which helps to engage the audience. The Improv people are professionals. That are fantastic. They think quick and are naturals. The show is engaging and the MC is constantly involving the audience. It’s great for a group and it’s is kid friendly. They keep it clean. I will definitely be going back!

I’m rating just the Jet City Improv performance, and not any classes or that type of thing. For $ 15, the improv shows at Jet City are a great and inexpensive activity. If you think about it, tickets to a movie are around $ 15 now, so it’s really amazing that you can see a live show for that amount. I could tell that the shows vary highly based on who is in the audience. I do wish maybe we had some more creative audience members when I was there(myself included, I’ve found I’m not good with shouting out random objects on demand). I think I would have an even better time if I went with a large group of friends and we had a few drinks beforehand. Definitely a great activity/date night.

I would usually crawl out of my skin when I go see performance art. This place was a totally surprise! It was very relaxed and a ton of fun! I would recommend going to the later show because it is a little more adult, but NOCUSSING! Which is cool anyways. The performers are great at getting the crowd involved. I would go again because I had a lot of fun!

Why Jet City Improv deserves tons of credit: 1. They are inexpensive. 2. All-age appropriate. A large group of high schoolers took up most of the crowd during the performance I sat in on. I immediately misjudged, thinking that we were about to watch some Teletubbies skit… but was completely proven wrong. This group packed a punch full of laughter with clean humor! I didn’t know that was possible! 3. They serve drinks. 4. They serve EXTREMELYCHEAP popcorn. 5. The performers are talented and collaborate very well together, and make the show interactive to keep the audience engaged. The theatre seats about a couple hundred, if I had to take a guess. It wouldn’t hurt to be renovated, but once the show starts nothing matters except the skits and cleverness that the performers infuse the room with!

I was interested in taking some of the improv classes they offer, but the website only provides descriptions, no pricing and no apparent way to register for classes.

Jet City Improv makes for a nice fun way to spend a Friday/Saturday evening! I’ve never taken the classes, only attended the shows and the comics are very funny and the whole experience is made a lot better when the crowd gets into it. And finally, the location is most excellent, get nice dinner and then head for the 10pm show.

ok i absolutely LOVE improv… i volunteer, i watch shows, i’ve taken classes. but by far the best decision i have made is to have jet city perform at my wedding!!! My guests are RAVING about the performance. What an incredible group of performers. Thank you for braking the ice and helping two families become one!!! Thank you chris for being such an incredible teacher! If it wasn’t for you in improv 101 i would never have come to love improv so much. It has helped me as a sales person and all around in many social situations. Thank all three of you for making the wedding so incredible!

When the performers and, to a lesser extinct, the audience, are in sync, the result can be the best comedy available in the U-District. The location is a cozy well-used theater in a place slightly off the beaten path. NB: As this is improv, there is the chance that you’ll stumble upon a below-average show. Don’t let that dissuade you from the whole experience.

Ever since Ive lived in the U-district I told myself that I would come here and watch one of the shows. It’s kinda ironic that the first time I stepped foot into the place turned out to be years later when I was in Seattle for a visit. Came with a bunch of friends to see the improv show and while it wasn’t the best show I’ve ever seen, it was pretty funny, and I had a great time. Would definitely be back!

So here we go again, I’m in a class again with these people, and seriously the professionalism and comedic humor that they push into our faces is mind-boggling. This time, the class was facilitated by Chris Allen. A fine stand up gentleman, who is keen on taking our second level class to new heights. We practiced a few scenes each session, and focused on listening skills. Truly the secret for doing these classes, is listening and you will be the winner. If you are ready for your second set of Improv classes, to better understand the concepts, then you should be taking your classes with Jet City.

We were here with a big group in celebration. I have to admit that it was certainly a good time. I particularly love Improv shows and thought this was one of the better ones I have seen in person. The talent was good, they were funny and certainly knew what they were doing! I would highly recommend this place, especially for a fun evening full of laughs!
