We arrived at 1220 and the waiter came to take our order at 1233… We were then told that the food we had come for was not available, that it ended at 1230. So no Benedict’s, no orange yum yum, etc. I am visiting Seattle and that was why my friend was bringing me here… We decided to order and service continued to be bad. My omelet’s cheese wasn’t even melted… We had to ask for refills after the waiter passed our table 3 times. And had to ask twice for the check. It wasn’t until the very end that the waiter apologized… It was truly a bad experience. We won’t be back.

This place is fine. My friends and I were walking around after a workout class and wanted to go somewhere for a lighter breakfast and this was pretty much the only place that was open at 10:30am. So that’s how we got here. It’s a typical diner style establishment that serves to you solid diner style food. I had the basic breakfast with 2 eggs, potatoes, and sourdough toast. I ordered tomatoes and a slice of ham in addition. I didn’t enjoy the potatoes so I left those alone but the rest were fine. I mean, those things are pretty hard to mess up. My friend got the BEST Sandwich and she really enjoyed it. The other got granola parfait and it came out in a cute parfait glass with fruits and yogurt. The service was friendly and fine. I asked for tabasco and cholula arrived. I asked for tabasco again, and nothing arrived. So I just gave up. It happens. I still enjoyed my meal. I used the Unilocal $ 10 off coupon so I walked out happy regardless.

We’ve been coming here for years and every time we always know we will get a delectable, fresh and healthy breakfast at an amazingly low price(especially for the amount of food you receive). This latest time, we had Daniel as our server. We love him. Talk about an impressive mulit-tasker. Even though it was starting to get busy, we never had to wait for more coffee, extra napkins, more water, etc. He was soo sweet and is a great standard of what to expect everytime we stop by. We ordered the Hobo Breakfast and the Tofu Vegetarian breakfast. Both DELISH and very healthy! Can’t wait to come back!

This is a cute place that I’ve been to a few times already for breakfast and for lunch. Their spicy burger is amazingly flavorful and cooked to perfection. I really like their breakfast, especially their pancakes! I recommend their Hungryman/Hungrywoman breakfast platter because you get to satisfy your inner carnivore and your sweet tooth at the same time. The facilities are decent and a fair size with a good layout. When busy, we still received our food promptly and the restaurant wasn’t too noisy. The waiter is attentive without being pesky. One time we came a half hour before closing and they did not rush us out even when we had a post meal beer. I asked for a chai latte to go at the end of my meal and even though he had cleaned up everything, he still made me one! I really felt valued and will be coming back.

The staff was very pleasant, the food was really good. We did luck out as there wasn’t a wait, usually there is on a weekend morning.

Just TRIED to have lunch there. The tables were sticky and the place looked dirty. There was no ice in the water on a 90 degree day. To top it off THEREWAS A BEETLE/ROACH INMYSALAD!!! The waiter didn’t even apologize for it. DONOTGOTHERE. HEALTHHAZARD

Great breakfast in a cute location. The jams were fantastic! We had this on our 2nd day of vacation, and for the next 2 weeks my son wanted happy face pancakes every morning.

I really wanted to like this place more. It’s not a bad place at all, but less than stellar. There are surprisingly few restaurant choices in Wallingford other than Asian when compared to other neighborhoods. My wife, my four year old daughter and infant son were out for a walk and decided to grab a quick lunch. We stopped at 12:10 and were greeted by a guy who didn’t seem to care if we were there or not. Not a great help getting seated with the baby. Then we realized that they were still only serving breakfast(until 12:30pm on Sunday) and our daughter was asking for a grilled cheese sandwich on the way over. We didn’t really want breakfast, but we also wanted to get food for our 4 year old. We picked breakfast burritos and asked if they could just do a grilled cheese for the little one. No dice. It was a matter of fact answer that they don’t do lunch until 12:30. My wife had lunch here once before and enjoyed it, but we decided to leave this time and went elsewhere. I won’t be in a hurry to go back, but being in the neighborhood we’ll probably try one more time. In this case, the staff could have made all the difference, a smile and some help with the baby and an apologetic statement about lunch time would have seen us stay and try to convince a 4 year old to try something else.

We were very much a fan of the Julia’s that existed in 2000 or so. But we tried it again after moving back to Seattle recently and were very disappointed. My problems: 1. Two omelets that were prepared with nearly unchopped, undercooked veggies and very little cheese such that they fell apart when you tried to cut them and lacked cohesiveness and flavor. 2. Pancakes that a chewy and spongey bite. This can only mean one thing. They’re using the same batter for the pancakes that they use for waffles. WRONG. 3. The coffee: A. I asked for regular coffee and got dishwater thin, worst diner coffee ever. B. When I asked the waiter whether they had actual coffee, like Starbucks coffee, he said«I don’t know, I don’t drink Starbucks coffee.» I said CANYOUASK? He came back with the espresso drink idea. C. I had just then seen espresso drinks on the table menu. I ordered a latte figuring THIS would be real coffee. I got a half cup(!!)(teacup size for $ 3.22) of dishwater coffee with foam on top. REALLY. THEYDON’T UNDERSTANDWHATCOFFEEIS. D. I considered getting a shot of espresso and at an additional .75 cents, but I just thought, forget it. They don’t know how to make coffee. There’s actually far better coffee at places like Shari’s, for pete’s sake. One star is for the roast potatoes, which were good. Jeez, 44 bucks for two people for food we didn’t even care for and could have prepared better ourselves??? In WALLINGFORD? What gives, management?

Where do I start, five stars all the way! My family had the best food. Parfait, omelet’s, toast, scrambles, it was all so delicious. We will eat here often from now on. Keep up the good work!

Flimsy bacon, watery coffee, mediocre potatoes. You could probably do a better job at home.

Had breakfast here on Saturday. Nothing special. We ordered a cinnamon roll to share(it tasted burnt). I had chicken fried steak… it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Friend had breakfast burrito… said it was good. Coffee was so so… Orange juice is pricey(must be fresh squeezed). Waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Actually gets points for not serving you too much food. The amount on my scramble plate was just right for breakfast. Thoughtful service.

Do you eat glutin free? I do. What a treat to see so many gf items on the menu! I had the roasted chicken with gravy & garlic mashed potatoes & veggies. So soothing! Then topped it off with gf lemon cake. Yummers! I’ll be back!

Adding another star because it really means a lot when the owners contact you personally and take concern with what is said. I look forward to the improvements & I’ll be back soon!

We went on a Thursday during the late afternoon and found our waitress to be lacking customer friendly skills. I also wish this place had been a little cleaner and wasn’t so pricey(that’s my fault, however, I forgot to use the Unilocal discount). There are so many great places in Wallingford that I’ve been anxious to try, but this one just misses the mark for me. There is a coffee shop adjacent to Julia’s that actually serves pretty good espresso and has nice staff. If I ever go back, I’ll just visit the adjacent coffee shop.

Good breakfast, very vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free friendly. With lots of great egg dishes. I had the goat cheese frittata which was really yummy. I was just saidf cause they didn’t have any bloody mary’s on their brunch menu.

THEWORST. — dark, dingy atmosphere — our table was sticky — eggs over medium shouldn’t be hard to do — crispy bacon shouldn’t be hard to do — extremely overpriced — questionable freshness If you’re looking for inexpensive, simple, tasty breakfast in Wallingford, go to Patty’s Eggnest. If you’re a hipster foodie who won’t accept anything less than a $ 25 organic, locavore faux-fancy breakfast, head over to the Fat Hen in Phinney Ridge and enjoy being pretentious with your cycing cap.

This place is trying. It’s definitely a better breakfast choice than Patty’s let’s say. Inside the place has a livelier vibe, with nice light. The food is not terrible but it’s not great either and for $ 15 to $ 20 per person I don’t want ginormous plates with greasy food. Basically a bit more love in their cooking and plating with go a long way. The menu is not very interesting and they’re pretty intransigent about not ordering lunch before 12:30. I’ll come back for the outdoor seating, not really for the food.

After a four year separation, I’m back. I am open to new-to-me Julia and what she brings to our relationship. At lunch with a friend yesterday, Julia and I were reacquainted and I must say, I am pleased. Now that I’m a Seattle resident again, I will gladly bring my money here. Julia’s does well to cater to any dietary need and substitutions are no problem. My chicken salad was bright and tasty and the coffee was rich. I don’t know the name of the tall gentleman who served us, but he was fantastic. He was very patient, as my friend and I chattered on and on before ordering. He kept our cups filled and was just-enough attentive to our table. Must explore the attached bakery next time. Oh Julia, you tease.
