I’ve been seeing Dr. Kinney for my routine eye care for as long as she’s been in practice downtown (17 years). She’s not only an excellent eye doctor but genuinely one of the nicest, warmest human beings I’ve ever met. She’s responsive, engaging, interested and laughs easily. Who knew a trip to the eye doctor could be such fun?
Her staff are very knowledgeable and skilled, and really go the extra mile to deliver great service. Dr. Kinney’s practice is also fairly unique in that they offer vision therapy services.

I wish there could be more stars for Dr. Kinney.
I’m 41 years old, have a panoply of crap wrong with my eyes, requiring annual visits, and have only had two optometrists my entire life. One when I lived on the east coast, and Dr. Kinney for the last 15+ years.
My eyes are my livelihood (as they are for nearly everyone) and I trust Dr. Kinney to be thorough, professional, kind, and generally awesome, which is is, without fail. If you need an optometrist, or are thinking of changing, you MUST go see her.
Oh, and her staff, many of whom have been there over a decade, are so helpful, and love their jobs. Shoutout to Linde.

I just moved here from Austin, TX and hated to have to find a new eye doctor so fast, but did to get new contacts. Dr. Kinney is a lovely woman, we had a great time laughing and her staff is just as much fun as she is. I can’t believe my luck in that she is just a block away from work. I can see why she has such great reviews on here.

I started going to Dr. Kinney two years ago and she was super helpful when it came to educating me about differet options for my eye-​care. Overall the service was great and the staff was very responsive.
The reason this isn’t a five-​star review is that she no longer accepts VSP (a major eye care insurance provider). This is a frustrating development and now I’ve decided to schedule my check up with a new provider. I personally don’t want to deal with submitting forms to VSP.

Great eye doctor. So very nice and gentle with the peepers. Really takes her time with you and answers any questions you might have. Highly recommended.
