Jam packed on a Saturday afternoon. For our table of 4, it was about a 10 minute wait, which wasn’t bad. The server brought our water, took a little bit to come back to take our order, but again it was very busy, so I’m forgiving. She brought all of our food except for one of the orders which took about an extra 5 or so minutes. Which I thought was strange since it seemed like it would have been the easiest of the plates. Lumpia, I’ve actually never had beef lumpia before. It’s usually just vegetable or. Pork at best. It was pretty good. Spam musubi was good, although I haven’t had anyone mess it up yet. I was very excited to have a adobo. Anytime I can eat adobo, I do. The flavor was decent. The chicken was a little on the dry side, and a tiny bit salty. But other than that it was good. Oh! And the Mac salad was perfect. Overall, I would return for sure.

I love this hole in the wall place in Georgetown. Situated in the middle of the industrial area of Seattle, you wouldn’t expect quality Hawaiian food but this place is legit. The small open seating restaurant reminds me a lot of actual native Hawaiian restaurants on the islands. The Kalua Pork with cabbage is bomb, I never fail to order it. I’ve also heard good things about the poke. Check this place out if you want some homestyle Hawaiian.

Love Kauai!!! Such delicious food and never disappoints! Service is also consistently awesome, it can be a little slow sometimes when it gets SLAMMED in there but it’s understandable and their food is completely worth waiting for :) Will be a customer for as long as they exist!

Enjoyed my Hawaiian food today — Crispy gingered chicken, kalua pig, beef lumpia and Hawaiian beef steak were all flavorful and portions were generous. Price was reasonable. Preferred payment — cash. It was pretty busy when I got there today. Hard to find parking and attendants, though helpful and nice were too busy serving others. It took awhile for us to get seated(even when it was available). Oh well, we’ll be back for more.

What can I say that hasn’t been said? Great atmosphere, rich sauces and food that leaves you so full… you almost regret eating the entire plate! Loco moco and Chicken cutlet with gravy will satisfy your rice+gravy+meat option easily. Love coming here, and can always rely on them for great food at a great price. Protip: Asked for grilled onions with your loco moco. Serious gamechanger. I may have to do that next time with the chicken cutlet now that i think about it…

The best hawaiian food in all of Seattle! My husband is from Hawaii and we’ve tried every place that serves hawaiian food. Affordable prices and huge portions!!! Our favorites are the Kalia pork, Katsu, and loco moco. I also love how you can buy some of their meals to cook at home, something I’ll keep in mind for when a party. Everyone is super friendly and make sure to check out their bakery next door. Their guava cake is awesome and I love how you can get individual slices and custom cakes.

The most legit Hawaiian fare on the mainland(says fiancé from Oahu), served relaxed to a crowd that seems to have ties to the islands. After ordering across the menu you’d be hard pressed to find something that disappoints.

Family run Hawaiian restaurant with all the ono plate lunch grindz. I love the ginger chicken so much. After all these years, I still haven’t been able to order anything else because I know it will hit the spot. Pretty big portion of fried ginger chicken & it comes with the standard two scoops rice and mac salad. You can tell it’s island mac salad because it’s pretty mayonnaisey. I usually get take out, but have had friendly service when I’ve dined in, albeit a little on the slow side as others have mentioned. They have a selection of Hawaiian Sun drinks. They have glorious desserts made next door at Cakes of Paradise. They also have spam musubi, and I just cannot say no to this. Being close to this place is definitely a benefit of living in the south end.

This was my first time here last Friday and it was UH-MAZING! Where has this place been all my life!!! The portions were huge! There was a lot of selections, but what I was craving the most that I haven’t had for awhile was loco moco! The best part was that they had the option of getting fried rice loco moco! There aren’t many places that provides that option. We first ordered the 12 piece crispy ginger chicken and that had great flavor! I highly recommend. I got the 9 oz hamburger patty with gravy over fried rice. It came with a side of mac salad and I ordered a side of over easy eggs to put on top and it was so delicious! I was so full by the end of the night, and had food coma to the max! My friends ordered the chicken katsu and the chopped steak and it was all really good! One of my favorite places to eat is Kona Kitchen but it’s so far. I’m am so happy that I can get awesome Hawaiian food that’s closer to home now! Service was great for only have one waitress working that night and one cook in the back. I definitely recommend visiting the bakery next door as well! :]

Quirky, friendly, divey and DIY, decorated with island kitsch and mismatched chairs, this neighborhood anomaly serves up some excellent Hawaiian comfort food with a welcoming attitude. Reminds me fondly of the little mom-and-pop joints I experienced when I visited the big island years ago. In addition to the classic Loco Moco they do here, there are some special things here you should NOT miss: The kalua pork is spectacular! Juicy, smokey and rich, served with or without cabbage, with a choice of sides… which brings me to: The macaroni salad! It’s just perfect. Noodles al dente, mild mayonnaise dressing with hints of onion. If you find you need it to bite back a little, try it with a few drops of Sri Racha. The Saimin. Essentially a noodle soup, ramen-style but with a rich broth and ample goodies. Satisfying as a starter, side with a sandwich or light lunch unto itself. Delicious! Lawai Crispy Ginger Chicken. It’s crispy. It’s gingery. It’s chickeny. A wonderful melding of Asian flavor ideas with classic American fried chicken textures. I’m coming back until I sample everything, so look for updates! And don’t miss the bakery next door…

Totally reminds us of Hawaii. The food is Ono! Lomi salmon, I’ve been looking for you since I moved away and its delish! Great environment. The lighting is a little dim that’s all. Cool restaurant. Definitely coming again. The waitress was awesome! Mahalo Kauai family restaurant!

This place was the first Hawaiian restaurant I ate at when I moved here to Seattle and have always enjoyed the food! Now that I work kinda nearby, me and the lunch crew will venture out here from time to time to get some grindz. When you enter you may be a little confused, do I wait to be seated, order at the counter, or just sit? Well, if you plan on eating in, just grab an empty table. To go? Go to the counter and place your order. The food has never let me down. The portions are just right and the mac salad is ono! That means delicious. They have an extensive menu, but be sure to check out the specials too! Parking can be a pain, but be patient. I have parked in the back before without getting harassed. Oh and if you want dessert, just go through the side entrance to Cakes of Paradise!

I can’t believe I haven’t left a review sooner. Basically get everything and stuff your face. You won’t be sorry. The Lawai Crispy Ginger Chicken is by far my favorite dish and you get so much with your order. I usually end up taking it home. The macaroni salad is also sooooo good. They also have malasada mix so for all of you craving those, better cop those. Variety of Hawaiian Sun drinks but we all know strawberry guava is the best. The staff is fantastic and super nice.

Love the food here. I haven’t had anything that was a let down. The service is a bit slow but they are always super friendly. Also, like that I can support this family owned business. Strongly recommend to anyone that enjoys Hawaiian go give it a try!(Just gotta be patient about refills and wait time)

My wife and I came here on a Saturday for lunch when they have live music, and it was an awesome experience. First off, when we walked in, the ambiance was so homey and welcoming. The tables are very close to each other, so you get a chance to talk with your neighbors if you want. Everyone was into the live music, and it seemed like half the people there already knew each other! There was even some hula dancing at one point in the meal. The food was also great. I got the Crispy Ginger Chicken, which I highly recommend. Thick and crispy exterior with moist and tender chicken. The flavors were on point — a little sweet and salty(almost teriyaki-like) with a subtle hint of ginger. My only qualm was that there were some small bone pieces that didn’t get cleaned out too well — I’m ok with big pieces of bone, but little ones that I chomp into which could lead to breaking my tooth aren’t fun. It came with 2 scoops of rice and a choice of mac salad or house salad. Both are good choices, although I would go with the mac salad since you’re in a Hawaiian restaurant. :) My wife ordered the kalua pork plate, and enjoyed her dish too. The pork was just a tad dry, but the flavors were good, and the portion size was generous. We also ordered two malasadas, which were solid. Not as good as some I’ve tried in Hawaii, but still with a nice chewy texture and crisp exterior. The service was friendly and accommodating — and overall, we really enjoyed ourselves.

Took some residents from a retirement home here and we had the best time. We ordered everything from the Lawai crispy ginger chicken to the beef lumpia to the pineapple chicken to the chopped beef with onions to the kahlua pork! Omg we must’ve ordered half the menu. But I must say, every single person was satisfied with their food(rarely happens with 8 old people at a restaurant. lol). Service was great and accommodated when we had to pull one extra chair up to our table. The décor is old but who cares! Come for the awesome Hawaiian food. Great experience. Great food. Great service. Will totally be back here with my family! Tried the bakery attached next door and got mango cake and the coconut one too. So freakin good! Loved it!

The food here alwaysssss hits the spot. But it also puts me in the craziest food coma, but well deserved I suppose haha. I got the kalua pork which was delicious and my boyfriend got bbq pork, which I liked also. I am also very obsessed with their Mac salad! One thing that could improve is how long it took to bring out the food. We probably waited like 30 minutes which I think is way too long for food especially when it wasn’t even packed.

Malasadas. Sweet mother of pearl, they have them here and they are legit. Buy one if you’re not sure but you’ll want a bag of them, trust me. I’m getting ahead of myself here. Let me backtrack for a moment… if you didn’t know this place was here, you need to know now and you need to go. Excellent Hawaiian food tucked away on 6th Avenue in Georgetown and they’ve been here for nearly 20 years! I met a friend for brunch and was blown away by the food. We ordered several appetizers to share: Spam musubi, Lawai crispy ginger chicken, and beef lumpia. The bone-in chicken was wonderfully crispy with the subtle flavour of ginger. The lumpia dipping sauce was tasty but sadly I’ve had better lumpia so I’d say skip those. As a Fil-Am, I’m a little spoiled when it comes to Filipino pagkain! My friend ordered the eggs over fried rice and she really enjoyed it. I chose the Hawaiian style plate lunch with Kalua pork and cabbage, rice, and macaroni salad. It’s an important fact to know that you can only get Malasadas on Saturdays so even if you can’t stay for a full meal, stop in for a bag of their hot, sugared treats. You will NOT regret it. $ 4 for a bag or $ 0.50 each. What’s a malasada, you ask? These lovely things are Portuguese fried dough balls coated with granulated sugar. In the late 1800s, Portuguese laborers came to Hawaii to work in the plantations. Malasadas were one of the foods that the laborers brought with them and today, there are numerous bakeries in the Hawaiian islands specializing in malasadas! As we were leaving, my friend grabbed a butter mochi to go and we walked across to the attached bakery, review to follow shortly. Parking can be tough since there’s less than ten spots in front of the restaurant. There is also street parking but read the signs carefully so you don’t get a ticket.

Nothing makes me miss home more than a Hawaiian breakfast and malasadas! I had just landed and had already begun the whiney«I’m hungry, feed me, I’m starving» song to my Pops. He asked what kind of food I wanted and of course when he mentioned a Hawaiian spot, I was all game. We immediately rushed over because if we didn’t, seats would fill up fast! As soon as we neared the parking lot, I saw how serious my Pops was about this place getting packed. 10 minutes till they opened doors and people were already waiting. Thankfully, we managed to find a table for us no trouble. As already mentioned by several people, customer service is impeccable! As soon as we sat down we were offered drinks and malasadas. But having grown up with Hawaiian breakfast, I already knew what I wanted: 1 bag(10 pieces) of Malasadas Side order of Portuguese sausage Loco Moco with over easy eggs Crispy Ginger Chicken(table ordered) Saimin & Spam(table ordered) Oh Lord! I demolished my breakfast with half a bag of malasadas to share with my favorite cousin later. For about $ 35, the three of us ate well and still had leftovers. I would definitely go back when I’m visiting. — Get here early, like 10 minutes before they open early. — Order the Loco Moco — Grab a bag of Malasadas to go, you can thank me later :) enjoy!
