King Noodle

I may have messed up ordering a rice dish at a place called King Noodle. High hopes due to the reviews and some word of mouth from friends, my friends and I decided to give it a try. I went with the rice dish because everyone else was going with noodles, so I wanted to try something different.
The dining space is rather small but plenty of room to not have to bump elbows. The problem would be, between the hot kitchen and hot soups and then the heater going, it gets rather stuffy and hot inside, especially if you go with a spicy dish.
The rice dish I had was spare ribs and chinese broccoli with an egg on top, all cooked inside a small clay pot which married all the flavors together well. Everything was cooked right and good flavors but my gripe would be the bowl is so small that it’s really hard to eat efficiently. Having to dig up rice and meat makes it spill every where. My fiancé and friends got the soups, the spicy schezwan had the most flavor but nothing really to rave about. The wonton soup was pretty plain and boring. Bang for buck and how much food you get isn’t a bad deal by any means. I’ll definitely come back and try other soups but if I have a hankering for wontons or rice, there are better options out there.

I don’t think there’s a better deal than $ 7.99 for a big bowl of awesome noodles from here. Mix and match however you want to make your own perfect noodle. I liked the Sichuan spicy broth. Perfect for a cold day.

Deliciously fresh soup. This is a place where they give you a menu and a pen when you sit down and you check boxes next to your ingredient choices. Broth, noodles, meat, and vegetables are all up to you! It’s a pretty great way to customize your bowl. It came out to us very quickly. Reasonably priced. Loved it!

cheap, quick, delicious and big portion. The service is not that good, because they are busy. But it depends on what you are looking for.

I’ve been to an authentic, Chinese «make your own noodle soup» place like this before! I was really excited to try this place out for the first time
My friend and I both got two bowls of noodle soup. Each bowl was HUMONGOUS and delicious! I got chicken broth, QQ noodles with brisket, cabbage, and wontons and could only finish half of it. You could definitely share one bowl with a friend.
We also got a side of six dumplings which were piping hot. To be honest, the dumplings were the star of the restaurant for me. The dumplings were fresh, sizzling and crunchy, and had the perfect dough to meat ratio. I’m such a fan of the dumplings that, if I ever come back, I’d probably just get 12 dumplings for myself and abandon the noodles all together. ;)

It’s a really cool place, I’ve never been to a place where you could make your own noodle soup. I thought the idea of it was really cool going in, and you have unlimited choices and decisions as to how to make your noodle soup.
Although there are so many choices, I was caught up as to how to make my noodle soup, and I think it would’ve been more helpful if they have a «tips» aspect to the menu where you could see what other people have chose before. The side dishes (although I did not order) seem to be very diverse and authentic. I would come again, but I do think there are better places than this.

Me and my friend were visiting Seattle for New Years and we were exploring the city from morning till night. Our apartment that we rented out was actually a couple blocks away from this place so we decided to try here for dinner. When we arrived, the place was completely full which to me is always a good sign for good food. We had to wait about 5 minutes for a seat which isn’t bad at all comparing to other places that I’ve eaten.
We were then seated and then they gave us this paper and to fill in the box as to what to order. One side has the regular menu while the other has a build your own phở bowl types of option going. Feeling cold from being outside all day, I decided to order the build your own phở. Mine had some veggies, won-​tons, some rice noodles with chicken broth. The bowl and came in, and it was really good! They had some extra spices on the side so I added some in for an extra kick. For the price, they served us a lot to eat. I, myself could not have finished it and had to take it home for which I ate it for breakfast.
Overall, really nice place for a casual eating spot. The people were nice and quick to attend us if we needed anything and the food was really good. I would definitely come back to this place again next time I’m in Seattle.

Great spot to get Asian soups. It’s an orgy of soup options. You can pick your broth, veg and proteins.
The dumplings are good and the bok Choy is fantastic. It’s a small spot so parties of 4 or less are optimal, but the staff will accommodate larger parties.

Each dish is ginormous so keep that in mind while ordering.
It was Christmas Eve and we were walking around the international district when we started to feel hungry, craving some warm soup since it was freezing outside.
All the restaurants in the area had queues up to the ying yang but the noodle house seemed empty. We strolled right in. You are served hot green tea upon arrival, unlimited refills. You are given a sheet where you check off what you want to eat.
We didn’t realize how big the portions were so we all ordered one dish each. Also ordered an appetizer, steamed pork and chive dumplings. They also have a sidebar with peanuts and pickles, in case you want to put some in your food or munch on them while your food arrives.
My boyfriend had the fish broth, noodles, topped with beef balls and steamed fish, topped with leek and cabbage. He loved his dish and actually finished it.
I got congee with salted pork and enoki mushroom, topped with green onions. My boyfriend’s mother had the Tom yum Kong flavored soup.
When we saw our dishes arrive, we realized we could have easily ordered one dish to share between 2 people.
My congee was top of the line and I have plenty of leftovers for breakfast tomorrow.
The noodles cost just over $ 7 each and the congee was just over $ 6. Can’t beat the price. Definitely heading back for my next congee craving.

Fish broth is seriously so good here. Portions for noodle bowls are large filled with lots of noodles, veggies, and meat options. I always get qq noodles with BBQ fuck and sliced pork. The pot stickers are delicious! I like it boiled more than pan fried since I prefer less oily pot stickers. This place is worth your money and the options of choosing what you want in your noodle bowl is cool.

Best little hole in the wall noodle house in International District. If your looking for a really filling meal for cheap with friendly fast service. Best part you get to choose ever aspect of the soup or congee.
Only issue is getting a seat during lunch and after 7pm til close, but I’ve never had more then a 5min wait. It’s open everyday, including holidays.

We stopped by on a late Saturday morning, and we were able to find a table right away. The space is pretty small (very small waiting area if you don’t get seated right away), but the place was clean. After looking at the paper menu, we ordered:
Pork and vegetable dumplings, pan fried: these were nice, hot and juicy (you can get them steamed as well).
Lettuce with oyster sauce: I hate paying 5.00 for a small plate of lettuce, but my wife wanted veggies.
Fish broth, QQ noodles, beef brisket, fish filet, mushrooms, cabbage: wow, huge bowl of soup. I liked the brisket and the noodles. If you aren’t too hungry, one bowl may be enough for two.
Clay pot rice with salted fish and chicken: I love the crispy rice at the bottom. This comes with a bowl of soup as well.
I am not sure whether I like King Noodle or Mike’s Noodle House across the street better. King gives you the ability to customize your noodle and rice dishes, but both places are pretty good when you want to satisfy your soup or rice urges, especially on a rainy day.

Such amazing noodles and customization for the price. I had beef brisket noodles and enoki mushrooms with vermicelli on chicken broth. They have me large portions and a great warm and homely meal for only 7.99. I highly recommend

Pro: choices — you can make your very own signature soup.
Cons: Whatever meat I got when I ordered BBQ pork and brisket was at least 50% not either one of those. It was congealy and weird meat-​ish and I can’t really confirm it was meat. The BBQ pork that was included was tasty, but there were very few bites of identifiable meat. Not being a fan of ‘adventurous’ mystery flesh, I was not impressed.
I’ve heard about this place from a lot of my team, but considering how many noodle shops there are in the ID, I will keep looking for the best one.

It’s about that time of year when I start eating some soup and I was on the hunt for a good bowl with some mean wontons. Did some research, consulted a few experts and then ignored all of their suggestions and just went with my gut (no pun intended) and came to King Noodle.
Came here on a late afternoon, wasn’t too busy inside and we were seated immediately. Got the proper paperwork to order our customized bowl of soup, filled it out, gave it to the server and waited. It came out fairly quick, piping hot and my glasses started to fog up everytime I went in for a bite. We both enjoyed our bowls very much, the wontons are delicious with a nice thin wrapper and the sour & spicy broth was just right, a huge bowl to satisfy that hunger too!
Pricing is good, about $ 8/​person but you can upgrade and pay more to fancier bowls with more stuff if you want. Service was fine as it wasnt busy, so no issues there. This place filled my craving then I was on my merry way in search of a bakery next.

Honestly, I’ve only been here once. But honestly, it was like a dream come true. I love noodles and I love broth and I love all things customizable. THIS HAD THEM ALL.
You choose your noodles, your broth, and toppings. The spicy broth I had was excellent with not too much fire that it was overwhelming. The udon noodles were also great, though I’ve heard good things about the QQ noodles as well. I recommend that you get there a little early depending on if you’re going for lunch or dinner, because it does get a little crowded and the restaurant itself is rather small.
This also fed me for 3 meals. THREE! I call that a win in itself, especially if you’re on a budget. All in all, I plan to go back next time I’m in Seattle, the next couple times it rains and on my birthday.

There is nothing better than getting a nice bowl of noodle soup during a rainy day and I had an opportune experience with King Noodle. This place is good and inexpensive. I made a custom bowl for 7.99. The chicken broth soup was delicious. Not too salty and msg-​free tasting. The also have a few main dishes and a custom congee option.
The restaurant’s interior is nothing special. Its a quaint, little restaurant. The customer service is pretty bad though. The waitress literally threw the pens and fill-​out sheet onto the table and, when I was calling for a water refill, the waitress was loitering near the pickup window in clear view.
Even though the service was pretty bad, I’d come back for another bowl of soup if the weather demanded it. The food was delicious and worth the cost.

King Noodle is conveniently located by the International stop on the Link light rail. I had high hopes based on the number of recent, 5-​star reviews because I love a good, soul-​warming bowl of noodle soup. It was a cold, rainy Seattle Sunday and I was glad to have snagged one of the last tables and it was only around 5:30pm.
I ordered beef noodle soup and the noodles and broth were disappointing. The toppings were cheap — they had a bit of white button mushrooms, and the portion of brisket was tiny (but it was pretty tender!).
I know this is a noodle shop but next time, I’ll order the clay pot.

The food for me is stellar. I love the whole pick and make your own noodle soup idea! The portions are gigantic for only $ 7.99! So worth it. First you choose your broth. My favorite broth is the Szechuan spicy, it’s flavorful and spicy (I always add a little more hot sauce hehe) then you choose your noodle. I am in love with the wide rice noodle. It’s my favorite noodle of all time! It’s cut thick and it’s slurpy and gooey I love the texture of this noodle in soups! Then you pick your veggies and toppings. I usually go with mushrooms and cabbage and either fish cake or beef brisket are always good choices. The beef is always tender and it sits in its own sauce that adds a little more depth and character to your soup!
BUT the service is inconsistent. Last visit she was extremely rude… I contemplated leaving a tip. And I always leave a tip. (I left her a tip lol)

I’ve been in a few times for dinner, although I haven’t tried many items. They have a choose-​your-​own-​adventure noodle soup menu, which I almost always settle for. You check off a certain number of items you want, and that’s what you get in your soup. I haven’t tried all of the broths, but I’ve tried most. Nothing is too spicy, even the ones that have «spicy» in their descriptions, but maybe I just have a high tolerance for spice. They’re not earth-​shatteringly amazing, but they always hit the spot. And they’re affordable! It’s $ 7.99 for a noodle soup bowl, with the maximum number of items you can select from the menu. Any additional selection is $ 2 each. It’s a big bowl, and I think it’s a really good value.
I’ve also tried one of their clay pot dishes. You also get to dictate what you want in those, protein-​wise. The free-​range chicken was on the dry side. The salted fish was really bony! I loved the flavor, but I’d much rather not have to pick out bones in my mouth. There was a ton of rice and some bok choy in the pot. The pot was super-​hot, and I needed to wait a few minutes for it to cool down to an edible degree.
The place is TINY — I’m talking not more than 10 tables — but I always seem to luck out and come at the right time (after I sit down, a small line usually forms at the door). There is one server, and she tries to be attentive, but they really can use another person to help out, especially during busy hours.
