Link Light Rail – Stadium Station

What an amazing way if getting around!
(I think we have the worst public transportation in the West in Las Vegas)
Lots of stations around the downtown /​tourist areas. Very easy to use, clean and cheap, too.
Took about 30 minutes at 5pm to go from the 4^th and Pike station to Seatac where my hotel is.

We took the light rail from the airport to downtown and it as a great experience.
You can use your Orca card to pay for the ride
It takes longer than a cab but you can’t beat the price.
It was relaxing and I will take it again in the future to get back into the city from the airport.

The Link Light Rail Stadium Station is super convenient. It’s a block or two from the Safeco Field and allowed us to not have to worry about finding parking spots and paying for high parking fee. We only paid $ 4 per person for a day pass! So worth it and saved us a bit of money, too: D
The Link Light Rail is super clean, too. But, beware, the train can get really crowded especially right after the game. However, that doesn’t really bother me, as the ride to downtown took just 10 – 15 minutes. Very convenient, hassle-​free way of getting around! Will definitely take the light rail instead of driving there again the next time we are back at Safeco Field!

Attended a Sounders game at CLink over the weekend. I had apparently took one of the south exits (big mistake) that diverts you towards SoDo. So I decided to walk over to this Link Light Rail station to ride back into downtown Seattle.
The location is good if you are headed to Safeco Field, but it is a bit of walk to get to CenturyLink Field. If you are going to the latter, getting off at the I-​District station is better. Particularly if you are getting a bite to eat before the game.
On the plus side, the Stadium Station is good if you are looking to head southbound. A number of buses that don’t serve the tunnel make stops here including numerous Sound Transit buses headed towards Tacoma and Lakewood. Unless you are heading to and from a game at either stadium however, you likely won’t use it for any other reason.

I’m sold. All the way. At first, years ago, I thought «dang, we are going to end up bankrupt with only the mono part of the monorail». And then we got this. Just like all the BIG cities gots. Or Europe. I’m a huge fan of this. I work in Lake City (the land that time forgot) so I know we will have invented time travel before it makes it over here but one can only hope. From my house to the airport? Aces. If I only worked at the airport.
Its clean, inexpensive, and I have yet to run into someone who sits next to you and asks if the noise in his head is bothering you.
