I went to 2 other acupuncturist and 1 chiropractor and all misdiagnosed my condition (and I thought the way I stood was already an answer in itself). One said my lumbar disc had moved and one assumed i had herniated disc (after he vigorously poked my back to see where it hurt in which i replied they all didnt hurt, he said «I don’t know what your problem is but I think…») and even told me to go to a chiropractor and physical therapist to heal it. The latter i found and selected randomly from Unilocal because of the close distance from home and his acupuncture treatment did not help at all.
My sis in law recommended me to see dr Huang because of his caliber.
When Dr Huang saw me he knew right away without even poking my back and explained to me why it was not herniated disc or sciatica and that it was nothing serious and assured me that I would be normal again in 2 wks max. (I stood bent over to the right from the hip up at 45 degree angle with my left hip protruding, my lower back from left to right ached and walking was such a pain I had to lay down almost all the time).
Dr Huang’s explanation was super thorough and in a language I could actually understand. He is very patient and i don’t doubt of his extensive knowledge in the medical field.
After seeing him I felt confident that my problem would quickly come to an end. Though only time can heal my back problem (nerve and muscle damage), my visit to Dr Huang provided slow but steady relief to my aching back in comparison to no treatment at all.
I will never again select a random acupuncturist.

Dr. Huang is patient, informative, and really well-​trained in China. I am not saying that only China-​trained acupuncturists are the way to go, but Dr. Huang is a traditionally trained doctor who teaches at Bastyr College. He has treated me for several health issues and has always been very successful. I was referred to him by my Group Health doctor! I highly recommend him. Heck, when you have someone sticking needles all over your body, best to have the kindest, most patient and well-​trained person you can find.
