I have known Mary for years! She is an expert in many kinds of hair and I always like the finished product. Her location is easy to find, not too far from Greenlake and parking is always simple. Check out Mary Hoy Salon! You won’t be disappointed.

Mary Hoy Salon isnt much to look at from the outside, but the newly redone interior is cute, cozy, and clean!
This review is for Kali Jones in particular — I’ve been happy with all of my haircuts from her! She’s very good at recommending styles and cuts, but is completely cool about listening to exactly what you want and making sure she gives it to you.
Every time I go she gives me tips on how to do my hair (I’m not very good with hair…) like how to blow dry it, use a flat iron to curl it, even how to cut my own bangs if I dont feel like coming in for her free bang trim!
She’s always going to hair conferences and trying to learn new things to make her an even better stylist– which I appreciate because then she brings new hair options to me!
If she moves from this salon, I will definitely follow her.

Don’t you love how Mary’s customers have all been going to her for 20+ years. That is how good she is! I can’t imagine getting the service and friendship from any other stylist or salon. She is fast and nearly always gives me an appointment with short notice! As a person with a busy schedule I can tell you that is something to be valued. And don’t forget the Shampoo. For those folks that remember «Mary Hoy Shampoo» from the «Ave» MANY years ago, you’ll know that this shampoo is a product to go out of your way for.
