Consistently great. I’ve been an occasional customer for two years and have never been disappointed by the food, the people, or the wait times at this hidden gem of a restaurant in Westlake Center. I always get the sense that the owners and employees are decent, kind hard working people. The salads are freshly prepared in front of your eyes and the workstations are clean and tidy. Delicious food, huge and filling portions, combined with great prices. I never regret stopping by.

Wife got the Chicken Gyro sandwhich and essentially had it like a salad. Cheaper and smaller portion compared to large salad. Flavors were good, chicken tender and really quick. Pretty good!

How do people not know about this place? Man, so good and healthy! It’s everything well made and clean. The price is fair at 9 dollars a full dish. Worth it! You may be wondering how to get there? Just go towards the monorail. It’s next to the boarding station, upstairs from Westlake Center. Definitely try it. I mean it!

This place is a solid place for chicken and rice. This is at the top of Westlake Center across from the monorail entrance. The food is good, large portion, affordable, and the owner is sweet. They have been here since 1991 and the longevity is because they will meet your expectation of food and service. There is a nice view for those who enjoy people watching downtown. I recommend the chicken platter.

Surprisingly good. We were there just for a moment and ate there out of convenience and are impressed with how good the gyro plate and Greek chicken salad was.

I have been coming here for 10 years. This is the only establishment out of any place I’ve been to where that statement applies. Do you want to hear hasn’t seen me in 5 years and he still recognized me. What a guy. This place has been running since 1991, and it’s the most consistent clean your gyro establishment you will never find.

I’m not mad at it. For a food court at a mall albeit an urban one, Mediterranean Avenue is pretty good. Given the number of other restaurants like it in the area, I would skip it. Went for lunch with three friends and tried a bit of the gyro, chicken plate, and gyro salad. Most of the veggies tasted fresh and they had a decent tabouleh. The chicken was actually surprisingly good, but the although the gyro meat is heavily processed and pressed. If you must eat in Westlake, this is likely your best bet. However, Pita Bite around the corner on Pine and 2nd is really the spot for gyros and falafel.

What a gem! I’m going to keep this review short; I tried their gyro plate which had tender, seasoned pieces of gyro meat, some sort of salad and tabbouleh. Their creamy baba ganoush with soft warm pita was a match made in heaven… I’m salivating as I’m writing this down. Delicious!

I have been eating here on and off for lunch for 9 years because I work downtown. The guys are all so friendly. Mohammed amazes me that even when I have not been in awhile he still remembers my order. The food is very tasty.

I really like this place! Found it on Unilocal app when shopping in Westlake and looking for nearby places for lunch. It’s located in the Westlake center. I have been here for almost a year, but didn’t know about this place and its food court on third floor. It was my little discovery that day! There is about 6 other food counters there and the space is very bright, with tall ceilings and view of the city with the monorail tracks running almost into the building. It’s nice to grab a table by the floor to ceiling window and enjoy this view. Onto the food. I have only had Greek chop chop salad here twice and it was pretty good. They use roasted chicken with a little chewy texture to it, which I like. I also like that they don’t skimp on olives, and that they are good quality, marinated well and plump. It makes for a good lunch or dinner. The first time when I came there, the person making the salad was very chatty and engaging(maybe the owner?). He told me the story how the chop chop Greek salad that I have been getting here used to be really freshly chopped to order in front of yours eyes, but it unfortunately that was against health code and now they have pre-chopped romaine and other ingredients. How sad is that! It almost would have resembled my favorite chopped salad from Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza in California. Anyhow their salad it’s tasty and I will be back for more!

At 1:30 pm it was a quick and delicious meal. I had the chicken plate(no breast meat here). The pita bread is fresh; very good and the hummus is not overwhelming and creamy. My meal including a medium diet Pespsi(they don’t have small but cup runneth small) cost $ 10.94.

Mediterranean Avenue was the best looking food court restaurant on Thursday night. I checked out the other places, mostly consisting of Asian flare and their food choices looked a bit dry and too typical of Asian fast food. This place on the other hand had fresh looking ingredients and very reasonable prices. Let me say that it was not the best Greek food I’ve had but for a food court, it was really good. My wife and I ordered a classic gyro sandwich and falafel sandwich minus the red onions. The gyro meat was very tender and flavorful. The falafel balls were also very good and did not break into pieces on the plate after a bite. I recommend this place if you are at Westlake Center food court and want something other than common Asian noodles and fried rice.

I don’t understand the haters who call this place overrated. First, this is a fast food vendor in the food fair of Westlake Mall downtown. People who dine here are either taking a break from shopping or working downtown and need a quick, filling bite to eat. Nothing fancy schmancy, no 20-course dinners or a lesson on the Illustrious History of Gyros as it relates to the Greek Gods. Sadly also, no men in loincloths. For $ 5.99 — it costs more for a box of maxi pads from the drugstore — you can get a Chicken Gyro. Sure, the chicken could be better flavored and not so dry, but the veggies are super fresh, the pita soft and warm and the portion is huge. Other platters(dishes with sides) are about $ 7.99. The place had a huge line, because people preferred Gyros to maxi pads for their lunches. And the«assembly line» moved quickly — three guys outside and at least one inside cooking the food. This was by far the busiest vendor in the food fair and for a good reason. Definitely a worth while stop, if Mediterranean is what you crave and $ 5.99 is all you have in your wallet.

solid 3.5 stars; just would’ve preferred if they had sliced off the gyros off that rotating thing as really don’t know how fresh those slices are. yet can say the veggies were, wrap nice and soft, just not something to really repeat that soon lol. sauce was good too. friendly service. for $ 5.99 it’s what you expect.

Definitely overrated. The gyro plates are average at best. There are so many great restaurants, Mediterranean included, within a ¼ mile walk you should only go here if you are unwilling to leave the mall. The chicken plate was a little better, but nothing above average. The food seemed to have the mass produced feeling you would get from a major chain like chipotle

This one is a keeper. I never expected mall food to taste as good or as fresh. I have already been to the mall a couple of times, and I have never been disappointed by food here. I liked their falafel plate and enjoy the many sides that you can get especially the dolma and baba ghanoush. The falafels are made fresh after you place the order and the hummus they provide with it is a balanced complement. Service is excellent and the pricing is reasonable too.
