Melanie A Maxwell

Melanie Maxwell has pretty much done the impossible: restored my faith in lawyers, particularly those in the divorce category. Ms. Maxwell was empathetic but realistic about my situation; offering thoughtful, considered advice about the steps needed to address a situation now /​and/​in the future. Again, every time I’ve interacted with her, I’ve found it to be cordial, intelligent, professional and pleasant.

I feel Melanie intends good for her clients. There are many instances where she comes across as a caring person.
However, there were occasions where I have found Melanie to be rude & condescending. I’ve overlooked this a few times and given her the benefit of doubt. On one occasion, even she had realized this and apologized to me. However, when this continued and she stopped being transparent about my case with me, I felt that it would be best to switch attorneys.
I’ve found that other attorneys are more expedient and efficient with use of billable time. I have my theories around why this may be, but I don’t want to go into these here.‘
If I had to do it again, I don’t think I will choose Melanie, even if she started offering legal services for free.

Melanie helped me through a difficult child support matter. She knew what she was doing and kept me focused on what was important, in the end justice was served. I would recommend Melanie to any person looking for family law legal help.

Nice to talk to on the phone but shoves you aside when she’s busy. I’ve been waiting a while for her to help. Nice lady but seemed to busy to work my case. Why didn’t she communicate in a reasonable time? I don’t know.
