This was my first time at the food truck. The helpful and friendly manager suggested the Soul in a Bowl, which is a good way to try several things at once. Mine had pulled pork(solid), greens(deliciously mustardy) and beans(also solid). I also tried the coleslaw and the potato salad. I liked how fresh and non-goopy the coleslaw was, and I’ll be back for that potato salad. This food truck is on the Eastside! By chance I caught it at the Crossroads Farmers Market, and the manager told me they’re also in Factoria on the regular. I look forward to checking out the schedule on their website.

I love Neema’s Comfort Food! My favorite thing on the menu has to be the brisket. It is so tender and flavorful with just the right amount of smoke and sauce. Brisket can be a difficult thing to get right but Neema’s is perfect! Other favorites are the Mac and cheese, corn bread, and potato salad.

While a little pricey, the food was delicious(I had a Soul in a Bowl with pulled pork, mac & cheese, potato salad and baked beans). The pork was tender and flavorful and the mac had a perfectly cheesy flavor. The potato salad could’ve had more«umph.» The beans were tasty as well but nothing to write home about. Solid place, probably won’t become my go-to food truck but I would eat here again. Service was busy but very warm and hospitable!

Had lunch with a friend at their food truck in Pioneer Square Thursday for the first time and it was good. We both had the Soul in a Bowl with Brisket, Collard Greens & Succotash. It was tasty and nice to have the option for good food on a beautiful day in Pioneer Square. I also enjoyed the greens and succotash with the included rice and price of cornbread. It would have been nice to have some butter with the cornbread but it was still good.

I had the porker. Overall it was good and I might eat it again but I was a little disappointed by the portion sizes, perhaps I was just extra hungry but the sandwich seemed on the small side and didn’t fill me up. Overall would recommend just make sure you don’t have a big appetite or order a side as well

Good smells were coming from it, the brisket was good but cold. Also, the corn bread was cold, dry, and crumbly

There are things you don’t do to brisket– reheat it on a grill and doss it in sauces when it’s dried out from reheating it on a grill. Also running out of mac and cheese and bitter collard greens. No that isn’t right. Maybe I had it on an off day but it seems like they reheat their brisket all the time.

The sight of this yellow truck makes me stomach rumble — in a good way of course. Growing up eating my grandmother’s ribs and mac and cheese has me constantly on the search for something comparable and I found it here. And the cherry on top is the staff — they’ll chat with you if there’s not a huge line and always add some happiness to my day(in addition to the happiness in my tummy once I’m done eating that it). The ribs are delicious — like, stop eating and just enjoy all the flavors that are going on in your mouth delicious — and they’re at that perfect tender, fall off the bone point plus the sauce and rub are very well paired. The rib meat and the beans go so well together in the soul in a bowl, I’m hungry even thinking about it. The mac and cheese is on point, I always save it for last(so it’s a little colder than everything else, if you’re lucky a little microwave action comes in clutch here) because it’s so good and such a nice flavor to be left with.

I love these guys — delicious soulful food and kick ass people :) I want to say more positives things about them, but I can’t right now. I’m chomping away at my food right now and I can’t stop.

My complex was giving out free lunches from Neena’s today. I had to wait almost an hour to get it. I got 1 rib with 3 sides. The rib was way overcooked and barely warm. The meat was tough. I couldn’t eat most of it. The mac-n-cheese was nothing special. It tasted like the cheap Kraft blue box stuff. The potato salad and Cole slaw were legit. Unfortunately everything was swimming in BBQ sauce so I couldn’t really tell. 2 stars because 》》》at least I didn’t have to pay for it. Next time I will just make a sandwich.

I cannot say enough about this food truck! The staff recognized my husband and I on only our second trip. I got the ribs again and WOW! Also, the customer service is outstanding! I hear a permanent location may be in the works… I’d throw money at that project!

Love the ribs(meaty, not too sweet), the collards(best restaurant ones I’ve had), the slaw… and especially the two guys in the truck. Sweeties. So glad they’ve come to Columbia City! Wednesday’s and Friday’s 11:00 — 7:00! At Rainier Ave S & S Genesee

I have Carolina roots and am constantly searching for good southern food. This place seriously hit the spot. I got the«soul in a bowl» with your choice of 3 sides(I chose two collards and one Mac and cheese) and your choice of a protein(I chose bbq shrimp). ITWASALLSODELICIOUS I LITERALLYINHALEDIT. The shrimp were so big, juicy and flavorful. The collards were delicious, and the Mac was as close to my grandma’s as I could hope for. And they give you two squares of tasty cornbread! I will be visiting this truck every single time it’s around

This was one of the trucks for the Taco Truck Challenge event at Volunteer Park this year, so they had a taco special with BBQ pork brisket, mac & cheese and collard greens. It sounded so good that I had to try it, like most of the people in the long line. The staff seemed really stressed out from all the incoming orders, so the service was really slow. As I was standing around with the other large group of people waiting for their order, many people who ordered after me kept asking me who in the group was ahead of me, because they were afraid they were missing their order. By the time I finally got my taco, it wasn’t as hot as if the order was just made, which was kind of weird. It was like my food was sitting on the side for awhile because it was lukewarm, which unfortunately, affected the flavor of my taco. Also the flour tortilla was cold. If it had been warmer then I think it would’ve tasted much better than three stars. My friend went to this truck a couple hours after me, and most of the food was sold out other than their BBQ Pork Sandwich, which he ordered. He thought it was okay, nothing exceptional.

One of the best bbq joints out there. Ribs are amazingly tender and the greens are a dream. The owner Ed had the good graces to let me try out some of the meat without sauce, and I have to say, it can stand on it’s own; they really know how to make a rub. I’ve eaten here a few times and every time the food has been excellent. Keep an eye out for the truck if you’re hungry, they won’t disappoint.

This review is for the food truck. The ribs may not be as tender as some people like,(the meat does not fall right off the bone) but the sauce is good and I do not mind a bit more meaty texture to my ribs. The baked beans and greens are delicous! Very warm and welcoming service.

LOVETHISFOODTRUCK! It doens’t come to my work place enough, but when it does… I’m the first in line! Today didn’t disapoint, I had the beef ribs with 2 sides, so I got Mac N Cheese and Potato salad with Corn bread. The Ribs were great, fall of the bone delicious. Potato salad was great. Mac N Cheese was also good, could have been a bit more hot. Corn bread was just ok… pretty dense actually. Needed to have a side of honey or butter to spiff it up, but still didn’t make it a dissaster, will eat there again and again!

Absolutely delicious, that’s what Neemas Comfort is! Also I am pretty sure they are the friendliest food truck around! We ordered food from them where they were parked outside Harry’s on Tye, a tap house out in Monroe. Great prices, got the platter which came with ribs, pork loin and grilled shrimp plus two sides and corn bread. The sides we got were the mac n cheese and the creole succotash. We also got the porker sammich, which was amazing with grilled onions, peppers and bbq sauce. The succotash was smokey and reminded me of when I used to live down south. The mac n cheese might have been a tad dry, I wouldn’t mind creamier but I could taste the cheese flavors and it was definitely good! Can’t wait to visit Neemas again!

This food truck stopped by our work and I was able to grab some lunch. Some coworkers had ordered before me and got the collard greens(the verdict was they’re delicious), Mac & cheese was so-so and the chicken sliders were good. I went with 1 pork loin slider and it was really really good(I heard 2 sliders were a lot to eat). It had the tender pork piled on grilled peppers, cole slaw and BBQ sauce. The bun was nice and chewy and the sandwich was well put together. Prices are decent, the meals were around $ 10 and my one slider was $ 5. The service was good, the owners were busy with food orders and weren’t too personable when I ordered, but I can’t blame them, they’ve got a business to tend to. I’d definitely order again if they stop by my work for lunch and I’d probably order another pork slider. Yum!
