Great bahn mi as well as Vietnamese street food and snacks. Friendly and helpful staff (if you don’t know what something is, just ask). Great prices. Lots of folks of Eastern origin eat here.

I know the other Saigon joint you’re talking about. You’re judging the front of the house? Have you seen the back of the house of the one you like? *LoL* I’m guessing you haven’t. The bahn me sandwiches at New Saigon Deli are good. I really like the Dac Biet and the teriyaki. Also, their bubble tea drinks are wonderful. Great prices.

I like New Saigon Deli, because they are genuinely good people. They will not upsell anything, unlike Tony’s Bakery and Tammy’s Deli (that greedy couple who owns it are terrible, but that’s another story). For $ 3 — $ 3.50, you can get a great bobba. Compare that to the usual $ 5+ in other «joints». I usually get almond with apple, lychee, and mixed fruit jelly. Wow. My other friends like the classic milk tea, lychee, etc. A lot of people come in there to buy a ton of sandwiches! I’ve been there many times where individuals order 10 or more at a time. If you want extras they won’t stick it to you like Tammy’s Deli and charge you extra without telling you. I like the couple who owns New Saigon. Very honest. One time I wanted to pile up a bunch of jelly toppings on my almond drink and was advised that perhaps I only needed two at the most. She’s right *LoL* My choices would have ruined the overall flavor :) Like other reviewers, I’ve been coming here for years now. The prices and choices are great, nice couple and kids (how they’ve grown!).
Back to the whiney crybaby voice: «But you don’t have to listen to me, if you like you can ballet dance or sashay over to the other Saigon Deli without the ‘New’ on it’s name and order whatever your hello kitty heart desires. Don’t trip on those Christian Louboutin heels now, Tom! I do care.»

After an afternoon of slugging down beers at a frenetic pace, a bahn mi sandwich at New Saigon Deli hit the spot. We parked right outside the building and were greeted by the owner when we entered. He took our order and conversed with us while we waited for our take out order, which we did not have to wait too long for. The building looks run down, the interior is kind of dingy, but the good service, great price, and delicious sandwich goes a long way with me.
At $ 2.75, I could have eaten 3 Dac Biets for the price of one beer at the stadium. The classic crisp baguette crust and the combination of the salty red and white ham were a solid foundation for the sandwich. All of the other flavors were great compliments.
The desserts laid out on the table or a bubble tea might interest you as an addition to your meal. My brother in law who brought us here said he has been coming here for years, and said he really hasn’t had a bad sandwich. I’ll be back to try some of those and to support this family business.

This place might looks a little old and run-​down, but they have the best Vietnamese sandwiches! The quality and quantity are both excellent, and it’s pretty cheap. Also, if you buy 10 and they will give you 1 for free.

Very awesome sandwiches, everything is just right, including their prices. It feels more like a grocery store inside. We will be back soon!

Go to Saigon Deli. It has the same name except the word «new» in the name. Different owners. It’s a different deli and makes a great dac biet sandwhich. It’s one block away but much much better there.
New Saigon Deli Vs Saigon Deli? Saigon Deli wins! Don’t get confused with the two shops because of their similar names.

Delicious Bön Mai sandwiches, I recommend the pork Bön Mai, spring rolls and an aloe drink. The best part is that will all cost under $ 10!

I love this place! Awesome sandwiches at great prices. They mostly just do takeout, but I think there is a counter to sit at. Don’t let the décor scare you away.

My family has been coming to this Bubble Tea place for 8 years! I grew up drinking their coconut bubble (boba) tea. The place may look dirty and not up to par BUT the quality of their Vietnamese sandwiches and boba tea are so AMZING that we drive from bellevue to seattle just for it. thats about a 10 – 15 min drive. The price is VERY good. about $ 2.75 or $ 3 for roughly 7 – 8 inch tall drink. and if u buy 10 drinks your 11^th one is free! love this place and you just want to keep coming back

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years if that is believable. This place has the cheapest Banh Mi and they are the most delicious in all of the greater Seattle area. Every time I come here I get 10 bbq sandwiches which means you get 1 for free! They used to only take cash but now they accept cc as well. (Super convenient now!) The owners are nice and are willing to take large orders over the phone beforehand.

You have a lot of choices for bubble tea and bahn mi sandwiches in this part of the ID. Many are busier and more popular than this one; I walked right in and had the place to myself. There is a good selection of sandwiches and drinks, and I saw a case with a few hum boa’s being warmed. There is also a table with some other (desserts?) packaged for sale. The BBQ Pork Bahn Mi was $ 2.75 and the Almond Bubble Tea was $ 3. I asked for the Bubble Tea with tapioca and for it to be «blended». I was told it comes blended, unless I wanted the Milk Tea — those are made over ice.
The meat was grilled pork, not the sweet red BBQ pork meat many others have. The vegis were fresh and the bun was warmed on request. I believe the menu stated liver pâté as a sandwich ingredient, but I didn’t notice it. The Bubble Tea needed a bit more ice blended in and the tapioca was over-​cooked.
Seating — two chairs against a wall for using while your order is being made, and a counter along the window if you really needed a place to stand and eat — otherwise, this place is to-​go. Menu items here are $ 0.50 to $ 0.75 less than comparable business.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! My brother and I have been coming here at least 10 years and when I’m in Seattle this is the ONLY banh mi place I will go to. The sandwiches here are beyond AMAZING! maybe because they’re made with love ^_​_​^ $ 2.25 for a combo sandwich, add 25 cents for extra meat. 50 cents for an egg roll. You can come out with a full meal for less than $ 3.
The couple that runs this place is super nice. Their kids help out all the time and it is really incredible to watch their kids grow up. When I first started coming here the oldest daughter was about mid waist and now she’s bigger than me! Time flies. Makes me feel old.

So far this is the best in Chinatown.
It is also the cheapest in the area also.
This restaurant is not much to look at, it’s definitely a hole in the wall.
Even though it is a Hole in the wall, I really do enjoy the sammy’s here.
So far i’ve had the grilled chicken and it was delicious. Like I said on my quick tip i’d have to say the name of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, but New Saigon Deli serves up a might tasty sandwich. .for Seattle at least.

5 stars for their boba drinks alone! Although I haven’t had the pleasure of trying their banh mi, I’d definitely recommend stopping by here for a drink if you’re ever in the mood for a boba. They have a bunch of different flavors & they’re only $ 3 & the cups are huge, much bigger than your standard 16oz cup. They blend the drinks with ice so they’re kind of slushy-​like, which is unique, but it really hit the spot on a hot day. The tapioca balls were cooked perfectly, nice & chewy, & the drinks actually taste like the flavors they’re supposed to be, not some sugary artificial flavoring. My one regret after leaving Seattle was not coming back here for another boba!

I came to New Saigon bc a co-​worker recommended this place. I’m glad I tried this place, bc it is definitely a great spot for some cheap, quick bahn mi’s and tapioca drinks. The parking in the area can be difficult on the weekend, but we found a spot close by! The deli itself isn’t fancy and is pretty small, but don’t let that stop you from coming here. The bahn mi’s were OK. They were a decent size, but their mayo spread was a bit different, and the pickled veggies weren’t pickled enough. But who cares because they have the most amazing tapioca drinks ever. I ordered a strawberry smoothie with tapioca, and holy crap it tasted like it had fresh berries, and was super creamy! It tasted more like a milkshake, so maybe they put ice cream in it? Who knows, but it was amazing. I’d come here for that alone.

This place is a breath of fresh air (not literally) in terms of making banh mis the way they should be made! The sandwiches here are very authentic in terms of ingredients and flavor.
When I came here, I tried my go-​to banh mi, the grilled pork (called bbq pork here). The pork was moist yet had a nice char on it. The bread and the pâté were good! I do have two small issues: 1. There was no sweet mayo on my bread, so the bread was a little dry 2. The pickled daikon and carrots weren’t very pickled, so the sweet sour note was missing. However, despite those few things, the overall flavor of the sandwich was tasty!
Additionally, my wife and I tried their boba (tapioca pearls) drinks… she had the strawberry and I had the almond milk. From a boba enthusiast, let me tell you, these were some of the best boba drinks I’ve ever had! I’d gladly go out of my way to stop by here just to get one.
Oh, and I should mention… for two sandwiches and two drinks, I think my bill was around $ 10! What a deal! That is how much places like these should charge!
All in all, this place gets a two thumbs up!

Thank you for still being open after all these years! I’ve been coming here since I was a young child, and the quality of food is too damn delicious! I love how their vietnamese sandwiches are so delicious. I believe they are about $ 3 for one, I can’t remember.
Their grilled pork banh mi and their dac biet is freakin’ mouthwatering and yummy. They did take a lot longer than usual to make it, but I shouldn’t complain because I ate every single bite of mine and still wanted to eat more off my brother!
They also serve fresh bubble tea here, lots of Vietnamese deli that is homemade and fresh, and egg rolls! Do know that this place is tiny, but don’t let that fool you! They are very sweet and very nice people. I hope they continue to stay in business because I’d be sad for them to leave.

Deals. 2 sammiches and a drink for less than $ 5. Subway can kiss my ass.
Small, family run store with random food snack items. The people are very friendly.
Lots of options for banh mi, including veggie and pescatarian. They put pâté on some banh mi. If you’re not a fan, tell ‘em. Otherwise it’s a mix of your standard fresh and pickled veggies.
Real baguette bread as well. Some places are ruining banh mi with something halfway between a baguette and a hoagy, not cool.
They take credit cards and don’t give you the stink-​eye for using one.

I used to come here at my old job whenever I forgot my lunch. It was a yummy, inexpensive and quick fix!
I love that I can choose from the veggie, veggie ham and anchovy bahn mi. Again, vegetarian/​pescatarian options are rare so points for that. Everything is fresh, healthy and yummy and um… they’re what, $ 1.75-$ 2.50? Can’t beat that.
The only con is that its cash only.
