If you’re interested in the hot items on the buffet(usually it’s an assortment of pan-Asian fare like teriyaki chicken, curried chicken, gyoza, BBQ pork, stir-fried vegetables, etc.), get your lunch before 11:30 a.m., or those items are gone, and they’re not refreshed. Same with the better soups, as well. After high noon, it’s No Soup For You. You can get a decent, balanced lunch here, if you go at 11:00. I’ve also had a Reuben, which was thin and unimpressive. There’s nothing remotely New Yorkish about this place.

The sandwiches were delicious! I was so surprised at how empty this place was at 1pm on a Friday. Maybe no one else knows about it?! The staff was very friendly and really gave meaning to the phrase«service with a smile». I got the hot pastrami sandwich with a couple of alterations, with which they were more than happy to comply. That with chips and a drink was only $ 8.99 plus tax, so it’s a better deal than any other sandwich place I’ve found downtown. This place is going to replace Jimmy John’s as my go to sandwich spot on my lunch breaks!

This place has a little bit of everything! The staff was polite, and efficient. The place was clean enough. THEYHAVEMICROBREWSBYTHEBOTTLE(or can!) Sooo much fun to be able to explore some Seattle micros without hunting down a sixpack! They also offer other drinks, packaged foods(chips, cliff bars, candies) and sandwiches! The made to order sandwich selection, was nice and large! We ordered a turkey sandwich, it has a good portion of meat! And tasted very fresh! We ran here quite a few times to pick up something little during our stay!(And beer! Mostly it was an excuse to try a new beer!)

Stopped in with a co-worker to get a sandwich. The folks behind the counter were fast and friendly. Ordered a turkey sandwich and it was delish! Lots of meat, fresh bread, and great toppings. Small salad bar and warm food items as well that looked pretty good. Wine and a few other items for purchase, but the deli sandwiches were the main attraction.

I just ordered a French Dip au jus and a California Dream Sandwich from this place and had it delivered via Bite Squad. Both sandwiches were fantatically delicious. I would’ve tried the beef empanada as well but they failed to deliver it.

I do not come here for the deli part of the restaurant. I have never ordered a sandwich from here, so unfortunately I cannot speak about that. However, I am a huge fan of their buffet and come here quite often when I am completely indecisive about what I want for lunch. Their buffet includes many different items such as salad, curry, pot stickers, fried rice, chicken teriyaki, fruit salad, pasta salad, etc. The list goes on. Most buffet items aren’t set out until 10:30 — 11:00 though. They also have a seating area so that you’re able to eat there and not have to bring buffet plates back to work with you, like I hate doing. Although, they to have to-go containers.

NOT a NY all. It is fine but it is not NY. There is no flavoured cream cheese, only one choice of bagel and the egg sandwiches are not grill made — I think they are made in a sandwich press.

I’ve been to NYC Deli Market at least 25 times as it is located almost directly across from my work. And I have to say that I like it there. Let me start by saying that I like to eat healthy during the day, so that if I go out for something a little more unhealthy in the evening, I don’t feel so bad. So I’ll have a salad most everyday for lunch, and thats where NYC Deli Market comes in. I eat there when I have forgotten to buy a salad from Trader Joe’s for the day. Anyway, sufficed to say, I’ve only had their salads and not their sandwiches. But as salad places go, its pretty good. Their veggies are always really fresh and, most importantly, there is a really nice variety of options. In addition to the standard raw veggies, they have a rotating lineup of other ingredients to keep your salads from getting too boring, such as bok choy, steamed veggies, multiple kinds of beans, chicken cooked in a variety of ways, etc. And the people working there are extremely nice! They are always very friendly and genuinely seem pleased that I am frequenting their establishment. One time, I was just staring at the salad bar area because I couldn’t find the pepperoncinis. And I guess I was noticeably forlorn and lost because one of the employees came out from behind the counter. She asked if I was looking for anything and then went behind the counter to get me some peppers. She told me to always always ask if there was anything that I wanted for my salad that wasn’t out that day. It was a really nice, completely unprovoked gesture. Anyway, I usually bring my own salad to work because you can get one at Trader Joe’s for $ 4 and I usually end up paying around $ 7.50 for one here, but whenever I need to eat out for lunch, I always go to NYC Deli Market

Nothing special in appearance. Breakfast bagel sandwiches are tasty, but a bit pricey for what it is.

This place definitely does the NYC-style deli perfectly, although that’s not necessarily a good thing. It’s a bit chaotic and cluttered and confusing, and the ordering process for sandwiches is fraught with uncertainty. But in the end I got a decent French Dip sandwich for not too much money so I can’t complain too much(although the wait was a bit long).

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve been to NYC, so I can’t really say how accurate this market is… In terms of being a market though, it’s pretty bare. Bare… but clean. At least it doesn’t look like a depressing supermarket that is going out of business, with only one or two things on each shelf. As for their breakfast sandwiches… meh. They’re alright, but are kinda lacking for flavor. Also, they’re kinda oily… though that could just be the croissant I got. The employees are nice though. :-/ More info(SPECIFIC info on individual food items). You can see what items I reviewed there:

Tried the Bubble Tea here today… EEK. I think the employees need to be re-trained on making bubble tea. It took a good 10 min for the gal to get a finished product. The result was a way too sweet bubble tea. The gal tried hard but yeah it was not a good experience.

I’ve gone here two days in a row now for breakfast. The biggest convenience is they’re located just around the corner from where I work. However, that simple convenience is not why I returned this morning. Their breakfast sandwich for $ 4 I think is a decent value. They offer the choice of bagel, croissant, or English muffin; cheese(swiss, cheddar, pepper jack, maybe more) and meat which can be bacon, ham or a sausage patty. They also offer a meatless option which is vegetables and egg. I like to get an «everything» bagel with sausage and pepper jack. One of the friendly gals behind the corner scrambled the eggs, cooked it thinly on a small griddle and folded it neatly to fit on the bagel. Then came the cheese and sausage patty. I didn’t see how the sausage was heated up, but the bagel was toasted lightly as opposed to being served cold. They also offer a wide selection of sandwiches, which I’ll need to try at some point, and a salad bar. At $ 7 per lb., it’s about what I would expect to pay, and the selection looked decent. If you work near the corner of 9th and Stewart give them a try some day.

I ordered the Rueben. It was good and they remembered my pickle.

The food is good but ordinary and certainly not what you would expect to find in New York City. I ordered a Reuben and was disappointed by the small size and the large price — $ 8.00! Also, they forgot my pickle(I realize they only just opened so that part can be overlooked). There are other restaurants in the area of better quality I would recommend first.
