Out on a Limb Tree Company, Seattle

I’ve had Out on a Limb perform three jobs at two properties. The negative reviews I’ve read here are true to a point — it is a challenge (but not impossible) to reach them and they are booked out close to two months. That said, we were in no rush and took them up on their offer to «just show up» between other jobs. Kathy provided an estimate and the job came right in at that estimate. They just showed up one day, were very courteous when we talked with them, they did their thing and were gone. Not a scrap left behind. All debris was munched in their chipper.
As a tree service — they are very good. They really love the trees and will help you make smart decisions that are in the best interest of the tree, the surrounding ecosystem and your property. They are good for tree removal and annual trimming.
I would have been happier if they knocked on the door (since we were home) and invited us to inspect their work before they departed. It would have helped us appreciate what they did and did not do. A trimmed tree is open to interpretation as to whether they went too far or not far enough. But we’re willing to trust they did what’s best.

Only way to contact this company is over email. Won’t call you on the phone and won’t commit to a timeline to do the work. She gives you an estimated timeline and then never contacts you again. Wanted some light pruning done around my home, shouldn’t have been a big deal. Very unprofessional and a total waste of my time waiting around for nothing. Wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone unless you like being jerked around.
