Sandwiches are great, service as well, but the potato salad is out of this world. Kim chi meatloaf is my favorite.

I feel like, I can’t even properly describe how much I love this place? The owner truly welcomed me into my new neighborhood, and I am now an unfailing weekly regular. The staff is so sweet, the art is gorgeous & local, and the food is incredibly delicious. My favorites are the bulgogi lettuce wraps, grilled kalbi, and the pulled pork kimchi tacos are to die for. Recently tried the oxtail soup and it was so tasty, my god. The kimchi is really fresh and the perfect level of spice, plus they are really accommodating about dietary restrictions. I would recommend Pippy’s to not only people who love korean, but anyone who likes fresh, local, and creative food.

I was excited when this place opened, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The service was fine but the interior feels like a weird office building, and when I ordered eggs, hashbrowns and toast for breakfast the servings were small and the eggs were mediocre — I could do better at home. Not highly recommended.

I so wanted to like this place. It’s close to my house, and the lady that runs the place seems very nice. My husband and I got the bulgogi beef sandwiches; good taste but more than half of the sandwiches were gristle. The rice dumpling soup was awful. What a waste of money.

This was a great neighborhood find! The first Saturday of the month is a Hawaiian Brunch. You will savory the best Macadamia Nut pancakes and the Portuguese sausage is fantastic! People have traveled from as far as Edmonds for these pancakes! The service is great!

I went here for lunch(to-go) and I heard it was pretty good(around 12pm). However, I was disappointed in the quality of food and the service. I ordered their bulgoki(don’t know why it isn’t bulgogi) sandwich and I couldn’t taste much flavor in the marinated beef. The zingy slaw gave it some flavor, but I wanted to taste marinated bulgogi flavor. The person who recommended it told me the flavor for the sandwich was good so it was an unfortunate experience(maybe one of those off-days?) On the customer service side, someone in front of me(ordering to go) had an order for a few people so that’s probably why it took awhile(almost half an hour) for me to get my food. When my order was about to come out(after waiting 20 minutes or so), I was told they ran out of the bread that typically goes with the sandwich so they gave me something different and modified the price accordingly. While I was waiting, I was offered something to drink like water so that was nice. However, I probably would have cancelled my order if I knew I had to wait almost 30 minutes AND they ran out of the standard bread. Well, from my experience today, I wouldn’t recommend this place. I didn’t ask them how long it’d take for the food, but I didn’t expect to wait 20+ minutes. They apologized for the long wait though.

I wanted to like this spot but the only reason we enjoyed the meal was that we were starved. I saw they had a galbi special only to find out they had sold out of all specials. Don’t live near here so I’ll get my Korean food elsewhere!

Pippy’s is really good. My bf and I went there last night. I had a chicken Caesar salad and he had the bibimbap bowl. My salad was lovely. It was made with cold chicken breast that had really good texture — it was quality meat — and the dressing was light. I have been eating a lot of Caesar salads lately, and they all seem to be swimming in creamy Caesar dressing, but not this one; it was refreshing. It was also served with a few warm pita slices and some(I think) black bean hummus that was ethereally smooth and lightly flavored with cumin. Bf’s bibim bap bowl was also tasty. I cannot parse the flavors, as I did not try it, but he gave it his highest verbal food praise(«Pretty good», and yes, this is an extremely positive statement coming from him). It was kimchi, rice, a fried egg, tofu, and chili paste. He did add more chili paste, as his spiciness ability is more than that of the average joe. The owner(again, I think), Jeannie, was really nice and helpful. She has a single waitstaff, which is plenty in a café that seats maybe 14 people, although she waited on us herself since she had sent the gal home. The café is in kind of a weird space; there’s a nook with three table with no sight line to the counter. It is very clean. She played Patsy Cline the whole time we were there, and I enjoyed it very much. It’s a great new addition to the neighborhood, especially with the overflow of folk at the Oak.

We loved this new little restaurant. The owners are so nice and the food was fantastic! My family tried the tofu sliders, bi bim bap sandwich, and Korean chicken soup. So much yum. I also love that the owners changed the hours to stay open later for dinner — thanks for listening to the neighborhood! PS. Can’t wait to try the brunch!

Friendly people, good beer & wine selection, delicious coffee and a fresh, tasty menu – pretty much exactly what I’m looking for in a lunch/dinner place. Walking distance is also a plus! I haven’t tried breakfast yet, but I’m looking forward to doing so soon.

Delicious and innovative Korean-inspired food. The name implies sandwiches only but they have lots more than just bahn-mi including rice dishes and wraps.

Pippys! Local, small, fresh, delicious, and non pretentious… WHATMORECAN I SAY?! I agree with the other reviews, wonderful wonderful atmospher, and great people. I am eating their carrot ginger soup with pita bread as I type, and it is just what the doc prescribed.

I had been in a few times during the soft launch, but tonight I got dinner there for the first time since they officially opened. I was slightly disappointed that the chicken salad sandwich I had gotten every time was gone. However, chicken and kale sandwich sounds promising, as does the spicy pork sandwich. I asked which is better. Jeany, the owner and cook stuck her head out from the back and told me that they are closed the next two days(tomorrow is Thanksgiving), so they would ring me up for one but give me both. Better to give the food away than let it go to waste! That attitude is what really shines here. Don’t get me wrong — the food was spectacular. But the attitude is why I will choose this place over Oak one hundred percent of the time. Well, that and the fact that they don’t up charge me for gluten free bread.
