Plus One Properties

I lived at 2211 Franklin for about 1.5 years. Plus One Properties kept all the keys to the units on site and unprotected, so one day, I came home to my apartment having been ransacked and robbed. Plus One offered zero apologies for their negligence. I had to spend my own money on additional locks and chains to feel remotely secure again in my home.
Both times that my lease ended, Plus One (Nichole Kaddas) would attempt to illegally raise my rent over 10% without adequate notice. The second time being right after the robbery. Additionally, the property was not maintained. Maintenance requests did not occur timely. Broken outdoor lights stayed broken for months.
Plus One Properties sucks and Nichole Kaddas is a moron. If you want to get your car broken into, your apartment robbed, and your rent raised to the maximum that the law will allow, sign a lease with Nichole Kaddas at Plus One.

Update: I got my deposit back about 8 months later.

Do not rent from Plus 1 Properties! It was an AWFUL experience. I dealt with Charissa Green, the property manager, and she was unprofessional, rude, and basically didn’t do her job. It took 8 weeks of having calls, texts, and emails ignored to even get my deposit back. She never accepts the blame for anything that goes wrong. Many, many things went wrong in the year I lived in one of Plus 1’s rental units, and housing laws were repeatedly ignored. I would recommend you avoid working with this company at all costs!

This place is a nightmare! Especially Charissa Green! She does not return calls — ever. Does not take care of things that she says she will. She lies constantly! She is the most UNPROESSIONAL «landlord» (if youcan call her that) that I have every had or heard of.
Run from any place that Charrisa Green has anything to do with!
I would have given her a minus 10 stars if it was an option.

I really regret renting from PlusOne and would never consider renting from them under any circumstances whatsoever.
PlusOne management and maintenance on several occasions did not provide required notice of entry detailed in the lease. One one occasion, I arrived home to find maintenance in my unit with no prior notice for a non-​emergency.
Water for showers was often luke-​warm. That’s when the shower was usable.
Had major hole in ceiling that leaked water from bathroom above. This hole went unfixed for weeks. Had people over for Christmas and New Years and they had to use this awful shower that leaked bathwater from upstairs on them. It was embarrassing to be paying so much for a recently renovated, 750-​square-​feet apartment and to have guests use this nearly unusable bathroom. Here’s the video:
Speaking of 750 square feet, management advertised unit as 890 square feet. After moving in, the King County Parcel Viewer online began listing units as being 752 square feet. When you divide gross square footing, which includes common areas (hallways, basement – most of which is off-​limits to tenants), and divide by the total units, you get 890. So management misled about the square footage of the apartment. Others were mislead, too. Imagine showing up to 750 square feet with two huge moving trucks all the way from Florida as one tenant did. Even if you add in the 5×5 storage locker in the basement, it’s 775, a far cry from 890.
I have doubts that PlusOne followed the law regarding renovating a building with lead-​based paint. People were living in units while renovation in the building was occurring.
PlusOne returned deposit late and charged for cleaning blinds, which according to local government, is not something landlords can charge for.
Found staff to be highly unprofessional.
Others in the building had similar issues.

I lived at 2032 Yale Ave. East for a year and had a wonderful experience with Plus One Properties and would highly recommend renting with them. Hallways were always very clean, the other tenants were always quiet and very nice, and anytime there was something that needed to be addressed the employees at Plus One were there in a flash.
The online tool to pay rent is also a huge plus and SO easy! Really made paying bills a breeze!
