My boys have been getting their hair cut by Gale for years, and we are never disappointed. She really listens to what type of look the kids want, and works hard to get it right! Her rates are reasonable for the quality she provides. I highly recommend Salon Cool.

Great kid’s haircuts at reasonable prices. My tween son is always very happy with his haircuts. We have been going here for about 3 – 4 years.

Love Gale. Love the salon. Gale is very calm & patient with my kids. I love listening to her talk with my son. She gives a good haircut and there are lots of toys for my younger daughter to play with. My daughter(for that matter, my son, too) are high maintenance but they understand not to bother Gale and whoever is getting their hair cut. Not sure why the reviewer in April of 2011 has such a problem controlling her kids.

I have tried this salon off and on for a few years now. I keep going back, for some reason, thinking that the experience is going to change as I have had lots of people say that they love it there. Yesterday, however, was the final try. As my daughter was getting her hair cut and dried, my son was eagerly(yup Gail I have more than one kiddo and sometimes it’s just hard to keep them away) trying to see her video game that Gail(owner) provides kids getting haircuts to play. As Gail was in the drying portion(no sharp instruments) of the haircut, my son got too close to her and she literally(softly, just to be fair) pushed him away from the space. Although I understand my responsibility in keeping him out of the work space, she should be more tolerant of waiting brothers and sister and their interest in the games, videos, etc. A gentle reminder goes far and is sometimes much more powerful when it comes from someone other than mom. No matter what kind of service is given, overall, the experience is stressful if you have more than one kid with you since the tolerance is low and the expectations are high to keep waiting children in their space. This time, I will not be going back and I suggest if you have more than one kiddo you shouldn’t either.

Brought my squirmy two-year-old daughter here for her first haircut and was nervous about how it would go. My worries were quickly put to rest though. Very relaxed environment and plenty of toys and videos to distract her. Gail worked very quickly and was patient with my daughter’s occasional fussing. The bob haircut she got was adorable(maybe the bangs were a little too short, but they’ll grow) and best of all there was no crying involved! The icing on the cake was Gail saving a lock of my daughter’s hair for me in a neat little package. It’s obvious she understands how emotional that first cut is, and I’m grateful we had such a good experience

I’ve had good and bad experience here. Gail does a fine job cutting my son’s hair and he loves playing video games while she does it. My 13year-old daughter’s haircut was a different story. She has very curly hair and Gail used a blow drier and her hair was huge and hardly looked cut. I think I’ll find a new person that knows curly hair for her next time.

Love, Love, LOVE this salon for kids. My 3 year old son is tortured at the thought of a haircut — and this is the ONLY place he will go. The atmosphere is extremely kid friendly and my son LOVES to sit in the car and get his hair cut. He has even started to let the stylist wash his hair(proving he is THAT comfortable here.) A must for haircut shy kiddos.
