Went here because attached to shitty hotel I stayed at. To bad they closed 4÷21÷13, as it was good and different from typical Starbucks crap

All I get here is the birthday cake latte. It isn’t really coffee but a treat for me. yum

One of the few remaining Seattle’s Best Coffee locations in the area. This location is across from the Seattle Central Library and is part of the Executive Hotel Pacific. As a result, the coffee shop has a mixed clientele of business types, hotel guests and people looking for a java fix on weekdays. While Starbucks owns SBC, the taste of the coffee is not the same. Actually I kind of like SBC a little bit more, if only because I have Starbucks far more often. Also not the same is the store design. Starbucks has darker and more earthy interiors. Whereas SBC seems to look like a coffee shop designed by Target as it is quite brightly colored. The drink menu is similar to SBC, but not the same exactly. At least in title. Ordered a medium vanilla JavaKula($ 3.35) which is the equivalent of a Starbucks Frappuccino. On a hot day, this drink makes for a good cooldown. Seating is a little sparse here. A couple of tables by the front window, while the rest of the seating inside is to the right of the coffee shop. There is also some streetside seating outside. I hope Starbucks continues to have SBC stores as they offer an alternative coffee chain choice. A company may have more than one group offering the same type of item(ex. Fred Meyer and QFC, Gap and Banana Republic, etc.), but it doesn’t mean the way they operate and product will be exactly the same. SBC, keep doing your thing.

Better than sister chain Starbucks, they still use whole milk in beverages and used to have a variety of coffee alternatives.

It’s a major coffee chain, so most of us know what to expect in terms of menu, prices and atmosphere. This place gets four stars for some other reasons though. Mainly it’s location a half a block before, and on the same side of the street as a bus stop I use all the time. Waiting for the 510? You can do it while ordering you drink/food(the breakfast sandwich is surprisingly good) thanks to the big front windows they have and the fact that they are crazy fast at getting orders out. And in addition to the cosy seating inside, they have several tables and chairs on the sidewalk allowing you to sit, set down your stuff and wait/watch for your bus. It’s the simple joys.

I actually like this more than Starbucks. And I think it is less costly too. I need to find a nearby Seattle’s Best in my SoCal hometown. The gingerbread latte was my new best friend. The whipped cream was a major treat… must have gained a couple pounds that week after drinking all the lattes. Oh well, it was worth it.

For a chain it’s not bad, and certainly a better choice than starbuxx.

The prices of the coffee and tea here are a bit more pricier than nearby coffee shops. However, the staff are always friendly and willing to accommodation your drinks and order. For example, they don’t have ice green tea on their menu, but they can make one for you if you wait for them to prepare it. Free wi fi at this location. It is a small store, so you might be limited in seats and tables.

Half of my order was forgotten… even though I was the only person in the place on a weekday afternoon. I got my coffee and hung around for my pastry for a while — not at a table, but standing in the center of the room — maybe 7 minutes?(I was waiting on a bus and eyeing OneBusAway like a madwoman). When I checked in and asked about the pastry, the barista looked at me like I was insane and then offered to get it for me… cold…when I’d ordered it warmed. I took it because I just didn’t have time by then.

Barista was quite friendly and helpful. Owned by Starbucks(smart move by Seattle’s Best if ya ask me, hi5!) If I started SB and Starbucks followed, only way to remain SB is to shake hands with the Siren or drown like pirates on a ship. Although they are owned by Starbucks, they still hold their own unique taste and character. Plus, I love the chocolate treat with my coffee. Adds a nice touch and a little sweetness.

I’d go to Tully’s or Starbucks before I’d come here again. Uninspired beverages, unfortunately. 3 stars because the staff is super nice. Iced Tea tastes like orange pekoe on. ICE. It was supposed to be a fancy tea drink. Maybe I’m wrong about it, maybe I’m right. I just didn’t like it.

3 stars for drinks, 4 stars atmosphere. The frapp-like drink was decent, but I like a little more ice. Not totally liquid, ya know? Loved all the seating. We’re from out of town, which means we’ve done a TON of walking in a short amount of time. It was nice to sit and relax for a while. Bonus, free wifi!

I’m a little ashamed to be reviewing a chain coffee store, but the cocoa is so good that I don’t have a choice. Best Hot Chocolate Ever. Ask for it without the white chocolate chips. Otherwise it’s perfect. I’ve been drinking hot chocolate EVERYWHERE from Austin, Texas to Jerusalem, Israel to Los Angeles, California. This is the best hot cocoa on the planet. Why are some other people’s hot chocolate oily? What is that about? The rest of the place is just fine. The staff is really nice. The location is great. The cocoa is so great that I only feel a little guilty for giving a non-independent café chain my money.

I’ve been here before but I still returned for that«RED» experience. There’s so many coffee places in Seattle. But this café is decorated differently. Cool rich red leather seats with chrome. Bar stools on the counter just gives that old style look. Red is so attractive to me. Love this place. Coffee is of course awesome! Company enjoyed the whole ambience.

Three mornings in a row the staff handled my special situation with grace and humor, and speed — very important when I need my first coffee! Special situation being: I was hosting 3 librarians visiting from China. They had limited English and weren’t happy our hotel lacked breakfast(the Executive Hotel Pacific to which this SBC is attached). Portland’s Inn at Northrup had set a high standard with fresh fruit, yogurt, and a waffle bar. SBC staff helped me throw together something acceptable each morning, and accommodated my guests’ requests to taste some of the seemingly strange drink concoctions. Orange White Chocolate Bliss sounds pretty strange to me too. They enjoyed this make-shift breakfast so much, we returned each morning. Maybe SBC should take over the hotel.

Good vibers place! Very pleasant friendly staff. I got stuck behind a woman with a problem with her credit cards. The staff person did not smirk nor bat an eyelash whiel she worked with her. Nor while I sat down and then came back. I had a sandwich — warmed up– it was OK. I was starving and the Giorgios with vegetables was open but register not working so no sales. I also had a triple threat latte– pretty good. The pleasant and truly warm greetings to others was a warm spot in a cold downtown atmosphere.

I mailed a bag of Seattle’s Best coffee to my family back home and they really like it. They received it yesterday and I am hearing rave reviews about it. I am impressed because it took several days in the mail to get to Massachusetts from Seattle and the coffee still has that wonderful aroma. My family is very happy with it as am I.

The girls had nice smiles(blush) and seemed nice. I always wonder why they(people in general) greet the way they do when I order just because my left eye is crooked(so it may seem like I’m not giving eye contact or w/e but really I am [with my right eye]). Anyhow, my chai was ok, but I’ve had better. The cinnamon roll was nice, the core even nicer.
