It’s wonderful to find a local instructor who is both patient and knowledgeable in tai chi, especially for perpetual beginners like myself. The tai chi classes at Third Place Books and Everest College are open to all, at any level. He is upfront about the tai-chi lesson’s exercises are, and encourages everyone, no matter what their pace is. He also invites other tai chi instructors to his classes, sharing more knowledge with all of us. These classes ARE free to boot! The tai chi classes are independent of the acupuncture and tuina, you don’t have to take one to do the other. I later went to Dan for acupuncture. He is very understanding if you’re still a little wary of needles, like myself! He can explain what and why each needle does what it does. The treatments don’t take very long and they have left me invigorated. I only wish I could go more often. Dan is a great teacher and one of the kindest, most encouraging people you can meet. When you come to a class, you will see for yourself. :)

Not only is Dan Cashman a great acupuncturist he is a great Tai Chi instructor as well. I have been enjoying his class located in the same building as Third Place Books on Ballinger Way. The class is held on Saturday mornings at 8:45. His passion for Tai Chi and Kung Fu make the class infomative and fun. He works with all levels of ability and skill. He is a talented teacher and has a great sense of humor. I have a ton of fun and I love starting my weekend taking the Tai Chi class. I leave feeling relaxed and grounded.

I went to Dan Cashman for my first ever acupuncture appointment and I have nothing but good things to say about it! He was very knowledgable, and walked me through every step to what he was doing and did a great job making me comfortable. I came in complaining of upper back pain and low energy, and I already have noticed a differences in my energy level and the tension in my back! He gave me some great advice. I’d recommend the Serene Dragon Spa to anyone wanting an alternative or unsatisfied with their current health plan.

I’ve been seeing the acupuncturist Dan Cashman for about three months now for a variety of issues, and the most impressive results I’ve gotten is the treatment he’s done to reduce cravings. I drink less alcohol and eat less food quite naturally and it shows. I’ve trimmed down, my digestive system works better and I feel great. The wisdom of thousands of years of Traditional Chinese Medicine still requires practitioners who are healers — compassionate, thorough, intelligent and creative. Dan is all of these and in addition, an excellent communicator. I’m hooked.
