Star Motel

The owners of this motel must have given me the very worst room they had available. I booked my stay here specifically because of the good reviews this place had. I stayed in room number 18. My non-​smoking room reeked of tobacco. The towels are super thin and are the size of a normal face towel. The soap that was provided is like lava soap. The chair that came with the desk was stained and burned and should’ve been taken to the dump. The sink didn’t drain and it took 15 minutes for the water in the shower to begin getting warm. I take full responsibility for this less than stellar experience, because I failed to ask the price of the room when I made the reservation. The price turned out to be $ 59 only a couple of miles from downtown Seattle. I should have known better. This place makes the Motel 6 look like the Hilton.

My boyfriend and I were travelling from Dallas to just get away. We came to Seattle for the seafood, the people, and just the overall experience. We had a rough first day trying to find a place to stay.
The owners of Star Motel were very accommodating to our needs. They not only fit our price range, but they save rooms for people just like us. We didn’t realize hotels book at a constant rate in the summer. Star Motel keeps 1 – 2 rooms open for new visitors.
Now granted, it wasn’t a 4-​star hotel with crown molding, premium shower head, and a mini bar in our room, but they had everything we needed for a last minute place:
1. mini fridge
2. microwave
3. shower with soaps and towels
4. A/​C
5. TV with Cable
6. Clean beds with fluffy pillows
7. Free WIFI
8. Pick Up and Drop Off Bus Ride to Downtown Seattle directly in front of the Motel
9. Assisted with our Bags for a late check-​out (Our flight was at 11:50pm)
For everything we needed and the money we saved to spend elsewhere, we would love to stay here again and recommend Star Motel to anyone.
