I had an appointment several months ago with Dr. Lowdermilk ( ) and I am still paying for the lack of care that I received, both with my health and financially. I was treated as less than a human being in that office, and I would be heart broken if he was able to treat anyone else the same way. This is a warning to anyone and everyone: if you would like to receive any sort of help with your medical ailment, avoid this clinic and Dr. Lowdermilk at all costs. I had to wait over a month for my appointment with this particular doctor, as he was only in West Seattle once a month. I was going to be paying for this appointment out-of-pocket, so I planned in great detail everything I needed to cover in the appointment far in advance. I was not going to be able to afford any elaborate testing, and needed concrete solutions to my health situation. I had kept detailed notes of what had been going on for several months, and was ready for the doctor in every way possible. When the time for my appointment actually came, I was elated, albeit concerned about the bill afterwards. They called me back into the room right away and had me wait there. And wait, and wait… then wait some more! After about an hour, a nurse came in to apologize. Another TWENTY minutes went by and I decided to leave. Of course the doctor walks in at this point, feels bad, asks me to stay. I was beginning to panic because I was late for work. Yet the doctor convinced me to stay. He took a quick look at me, ordered the SAME exact tests I had just received at the ER less than a month prior, and told me to get some Neosporin. He recommended some additional tests that I would never be able to afford. I have to pay, out-of-pocket, for the same tests I already had. If he had merely glanced at my chart for a moment, he would have seen that I just had these tests. I was not made aware until the bill came that it was the exact same tests. Not only that, but his best solution was an over-the-counter anti-bacterial ointment! Why should I pay this person for insulting my intelligence? I can figure out how to get Neosporin without having to pay hundreds of dollars for your completely worthless opinion. I have a mountain of medical bills and ever increasing health problems. Thanks so much to Swedish and Dr. Mark Lowdermilk! I will certainly not be back. And to everyone else reading this, take caution. PS. I contacted Swedish to complain but they ignored my calls. Specifically, Charlotte ignored my calls.
