This is a great little neighborhood dive bar. I was here for Halloween and it was packed. It was a super rainy night and parking was easy on the street. Most everyone was dressed up and festive. There is one central bar in the middle that was hard to get a drink at during the peak time. There was a DJ and some good drunk dancing going on. We hung out mostly in the game area where we played darts. There was also a good group playing pool. The alcohol closet is right next to the dart board so we were bothered every now and then with the staff coming in and out of there. They were all friendly though so I didn’t mind. Once it slowed down around 1, we sat at the bar and enjoyed some friendly conversation with some randoms(no SEATTLEFREEZE here). Great little spot!

Our new local… how did we take so long? Dive bars are notorious for making you feel as unwelcome as possible but Targy’s was brilliant. Tom is a genius bartender with some serious memory skills. Even though he’s running the busy show solo, he’s exceptionally kind and quick. The back counter pizza both confuses me and tempts me…

I’m a regular here. I was conceived in one of the booths back in the 60s. The bartenders are very nice especially Pat he’s my favorite. The pool cues suck, need new tips. The water closets are well hydrated.

Everything a dive bar(Queen Anne version, upper)/classic neighborhood bar should be– great drink value, pool tables, video games that I actually enjoyed and low key staff that are just right. Also, really enjoyed the photos from 30’s-60’s of Seattle. This place has been a bar since prohibition. Will be back soon!

I love Targy’s! Great, friendly bartenders with affordable drinks. They have a couple of pool tables which are only 75 cents a game! I think they have free pool on Sundays too. Lots of big screen tv’s too! Great place to go with friends or your kickball team!

Targy’s is a no nonsense dive bar hidden in Upper Queen Anne where you would least expect a place like this to thrive. It is a bar in it’s purest form, so much so that I think they only offer food for legal reasons. I love how every time I have been to Targy’s there has been a non sequitur mix of patrons bellying up to the bar. Everyone from the way over dressed twenty somethings obviously pre-funking on their way to some«hip» new place on Capitol Hill, to the low-key regulars who probably sit in the same seat every time and(I hope) chuckle to themselves as the parade of the follies of youth pass them by. But they coexist in peace, because Targy’s is just that sort of place.

Good neighborhood bar, great prices. Best part is, walking distance. Sunday is Happy hour all day! Pool table and Buck Hunter always the latest sports-ball on the TV

Something about a dive that gets me all warm and fuzzy inside. Targy’s fits the bill for this. As soon as you walk in you get that damp, beer smell. The neon beer signs litter the windows, two dart boards, two pool tables, and jukebox just really round this place out. The actual bar itself is very large which helps get the crowd their drinks quicker. If you come here don’t expect a high-end craft cocktail, rather get yourself a Coors light bottle and put yourself on the list for«next» on billiards!

Targy’s is definitely one of my favorite spots in Queen Anne. It is totally unpretentious, the bartenders are pretty friendly, and they have games! They are your run of the mill bar games like darts and pool, but its good to stick with the old standbys now and again. It certainly is a dive, but one of those nice dive bars where you don’t feel like you need to shower afterwards. It’s pretty well kept, and it doesn’t smell. What else can you ask for in a bar? They do make a pretty mean grape ape, as well. And their other drinks ain’t half bad. Certainly pretty stiff by Queen Anne standards. Whenever I find myself in the neighborhood, I make sure and pop in!

I am so in love with this bar. Move over Canon, you’ve got some stiff competition! Just to make it clear though, this is not a high end cocktail bar. In fact, it’s totally the opposite. This is a serious dive. But in so many ways it’s much better than that! It’s one of the cleanest, friendliest bars I’ve ever set foot in. In addition to that, you’ll find great people watching, a friendly bartender, pool tables, a juke box and every type of guy and gal from all walks of life. I can’t say enough about this bar… just go there and see for yourself!

So you really can’t go wrong with Targy’s. It’s your local hole in the wall tavern filled with neighborhood regulars. Two pool tables, handful of TV’s and two awesome bartenders(same two I have seen anyway). Strong drinks, good service, friendly people is what’s up!
