I went in with my boyfriend not realizing they closed in 20 min(8:40) and boy, did the owner make it clear that they were closing soon because he didn’t let me get what I initially wanted(beef and gyoza) because he said the beef takes too long to make, «but chicken katsu ok» since that is what my boyfriend ordered. Plus, there was only one other person there! I went ahead and got x2 chicken katsus because at this point it was late and I was hungry. Boyfriend and I sat down and waited a couple minutes, then we heard the owner say ‘hurry up!’ to his cookers. Seriously??? It was after that I decided this guy is a total dick. He was rude to me and the people that work for him. We literally walked out by 8:50 and he turns off the closed sign. Some of the chicken did not look cooked all the way. I ate what seemed cooked and luckily didn’t get sick. Plus, their teriyaki is over priced. Don’t waste your money on this guy’s business.

Love this place! Fam has been coming here for years, perhaps a decade. Everytime I come back to Seattle, I always stop here for lunch. My go-to is the Chicken Yakisoba, although the Spicy Chicken is really good. Dine-in or order take away and enjoy their fast, friendly service.

LOVE this place! We’ve been going there for years and years and it is a feast! All family members love it. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are great.

I’ve been coming here for over a decade and they are my go-to teriyaki place in the neighborhood. The owners are a very nice Korean couple who are always very friendly. My favorite is the chicken + gyoza combo, though I also enjoy their yakisoba and curry chicken. The portion sizes are pretty good for the price!

Run far, run fast. The first clue hits you when you walk in: this place has a funky, indescribable smell. Next clue: it’s noon on a weekday and nobody is there for lunch. Third clue: the food came out fast… too fast. I suspect the meals are prepared ahead of time and stored in the gigantic freezer/refrigerator in the kitchen then simply heated up upon ordering. Awful. Just awful. I ordered the yakisoba, which is a simple request. Greasy noodles and stirfried vegetables, but no – dry, stale, old tasting vegetables with funky tasting noodles. The meal made my stomach turn. My friend ordered the spicy chicken. The rice was wet. The chicken had a strange, stringy consistency. The lettuce was obviously not fresh. Bottom line: bad teriyaki place, take your money elsewhere.

I used to love the teriyaki time In Northgate, went there a lot living close for a year and a half, anywho when I moved near the Lakecity location almost a year ago and I have been going to this Lakecity location for about 10 months now at least three times a month, never ever had a problem with the food or service. UNTILTODAY, WARNING !! One of the owners slides my debit card and charges me for the food and then waits and something prints and he says the machine hasn’t been working he needs to slide my card again. Hmm I say okay your just charging me once right? Heh heh. WRONG! I’m a block away when I just keep having this bad feeling and beside the guy struggled speaking English also so I couldn’t help but check my account. Yep. He charged me twice, I go back and show him the proof of this on my phone through my credit union website that the charge went through twice. He continues to sidetrack and say I signed for it and I say yes I did sign one but you slid the card twice, he asks me to sit down then says he’ll call the card machine company tomorrow and to come back the next day, this guy was flat out not only rude but completely being shady I have had this similar experience before shopping retail and it’s obvious especially when I’m showing you the CHARGES! I tell him I’m not leaving im not coming back hell refund me my money in full now at this point as I was tired of feeling ignored and he was completley trying to blow me off, he grabs my food he charged me twice for and throws it angrily at a worker behind him yelling it’s trash! Glad they know they’re food sucks as long as their service! I tell him he refunds the money or he can call the cops, finally he angrily saying how much how much and I’m showing him again for the fifth time the price, this guy must have never had any customer service before at his age which looked over 60 and hardly knew English telling me to never go home again when I think he meant for me to never come back again, making me feel like the bad guy after he gives me the full refund $ 10.61 plus 10.61. I call my credit union when i get home, and they confirm it had been run twice. Man this guy was a piece of work I tell YA! Teriyaki time is great but please don’t ever give these people your buisness because you will not only not get customer service you get treated like complete crap the whole time your there! Every time I went in nobody ever smiled and I had been going almost a year there! I’ll admit the lady manager was somewhat a decent human being compared to this guy but k doubt that would have changed the situation with these people your always wrong even when your right, and isn’t the customer always right? I’ve been working in a pharmacy as a technician and in customer service for a couple years now and seen the worst kind of people customer interactions you can think of but I’ve never had to argue with someone if they were mistakenly over charged and they had their receipt and all, insane! I’ll stick to the Northgate location for good now that’s for sure, beware of these disgusting people and this horrible buisness wannabe«human beings» GOELSEWHERE!

It was okay if you like plain chicken and plain rice, there was no teriyaki sauce on the chicken! and the gave me very little sauce in the little to go container. Worst teriyaki I have ever had

Terriyaki chicken was soggy, not cooked well and completely unappealing. They obviously hadn’t marinated the meat before they cooked it and as a result the meal was not very good at all. The gyoza was like burnt on the edges and not cooked enough on the other parts just sloppy cooking by people who obviously stopped caring about the quality of food they are putting out wasn’t happy and didn’t even end up finishing my(pretty gross) meal.

Chicken and rice were both undercooked. I hate to give a bad rating to fellow Koreans, but I have an obligation to help you Unilocalers out there!

Horrible, horrible, horrible, Don’t know if there was a change in ownership. My wife and I were going to go to Aloha Ramen(next door) was not able to get a set right away and we were hungry. So we went to the old standard that we had be going to for 13 years(Teriyaki Time) She ordered chicken breast(under cooked and slimy) and I had the Teriyaki chicken. No teriyaki flavor(bland). No stir-fried veg’s anymore, Just shredded cabbage with some mayo. Granted we have not been there in over a year, but have never witnessed a restaurant decline in quality like this before We will never darken their door steps again.

3 for service, hygiene, better quality than average teriyaki places. Ordered chicken breast teriyaki, which is flavorful but the portion is on the smaller side for its price. Tiny portion tho.

Went here because it’s near an awesome laundromat. I am anything but a spice wimp. But the spicy chicken teriyaki was off-the-charts hot, which I could have taken if there had been any flavor other than burning hot. The sauce looks like siracha(which I love) but doesn’t taste like it. I was annoyed that the teriyaki sauce on the side had red chilis in it – I get it, this is the spicy teriyaki! I usually love the salad that comes with teriyaki, but theirs is raw cabbage with off-tasting vinagrette – didn’t eat it after the first bite. Bleh. Will pack a lunch next time I go to the laundromat.

Meh, I give it a solid 3. Tastes fine, reasonable portions, inexpensive. The chicken comes with some kind of cold cabbage/onion/carrots side. Not really a salad, not really cooked either. Probably won’t be back.

Not bad, I went here because the Sumo Sushi was closed. I suppose my rating would be partly due to teriyaki time not meeting my expectations in comparison to the other place. However, portions and price were good. I’d go here again if Sumo Sushi happens to be closed again.

Consistently great teriyaki and gyoza. The portions are generous and they have some of the best beef teriyaki around. My husband ordered a spicy chicken stir fry and it was off the charts hot! He loved it! I thought it was good too but overwhelming for me. If you love the heat, ask them to make your stir fry spicy! We usually call ahead but when we walk in our order is usually ready within 10 – 15 minutes. Plenty of seating too if you want to eat in, and the people are super nice.

Picked up to go on my way to work. Portions were generous, I got my order w/o rice and they substituted xtra vegetables. The chicken teriyaki was flavorful, they provided extra sauce which was handy, but somewhat on the sweet side. Service was quick, I called in my order about 15 min ahead of time, and the food was ready when I got there. Pricing wise, it’s cheap for teriyaki maybe $ 7 per order, I would definitely come here again due to the food, price, and convienence. So far, it beats out the other teriyaki places around the area as they don’t skimp on the extra veggies when you don’t get rice! Yum!

I came into this venue not expecting too much — I mean, it’s another of those little hole-in-the-wall teriyaki places, right??? Well, we were very pleasantly surprised by the portions and the flavor of the chicken. I love that they didn’t totally drench the meat in the sauce, because it was well-marinated and very flavorful. The rice was the perfect texture and did I mention the portions are big. My son ate all of his, plus some of mine, and had a smile on his face the whole time. I definitely recommend this hole-in-the-wall as a place to go when you need your teriyaki fix!

I was expecting my experience here to be a bit different. First, there was no special, which I’m used to there being at one of these little places. The cheapest chicken teriyaki I could get was 7, which was on the higher side for what I like to pay for lunch. That said, the food was good, and the portion was a lot. They have a large and a regular, and the regular was huge. I don’t know that I want to know how big the large is! It would have easily been 4 stars, but the service is what really threw me. The guy behind the counter took our order, and we asked for 2 cups of water. He gave us our eat-in food, but not water. When I asked again, he begrudgingly gave us one cup(there were two of us), and when my fiancé asked for one two, he seemed downright offended. There were beverages for sale, but I didn’t see bottled water as an option. It was really confusing. I’d probably go back, but I’d hope that guy wasn’t there.
