I have eaten here a few times. The food is good, when they get it right. I have ordered«beef pad thai» multiple times. I end up getting beef pad se ew instead. This is the last time I come here. I dont have all the time to return a messed up order during my lunch break.

They will make noodle dishes vegan if u ask! And the 11 – 2 lunch specials are a solid deal; 8.50 entrees with spring roll and veggie soup. They now deliver via eat24 and grubhub too!

My girlfriend and I love going to this place for Thai food. So far we’ve tried the Phad Thai, Phad Kee, Mongolian Beef, and Green Curry and all have been excellent! Reasonably priced too so worth giving it a try.

I feel very frustrated about this restaurant. I ordered take out last week. First, they gave me the wrong order. At first, since there is no difference in terms of my payment, I chose not to complain. But the most ridiculous is that I found metal wires in the dish(Pad Kra Pao)!! More than one! I’ve saved one of the metal wires. It is probably from the steel scrubber. I’ll see if I can attach a picture of it later. Anyway, I was shocked. Can you image how they clean up their cookware? Luckily, I did not swallow these metal wires. I dumped the whole dish and I called them, the cashier tried to avoid talking the metal wires and said she cannot understand me at one point! Finally, she apologized and said they will give me a refund. It has been more than one week. I did not get any refund! Anyway, if you don’t want to chew a metal wire from a used steel scrubber, DONOT try this restaurant.

I had high hopes for Thai on 1, but that fizzled after about three bites. Not sure I will be back, there is better Thai food out there.

Unexpected Extra charges for rice(frequently not included in many dishes(?)) and Tofu — when not ordering meat. I Love Thai food and never heard of this practice before. Pad-Thai is strangely extra sweet and also will require extra $ 2 for Tofu(!) — The previous Thai restaurant that was in this place had great food and no hidden charges and much, Much more elaborate menu… Oh well…

Thai on 1 just opened in late summer. I ordered the Phad See Iew lunch special. For the price of $ 8.50 I enjoyed soup, egg roll(small) and my main course that included brown rice. A great value for the money. The food was served hot(temperature) and all of the ingredients appeared fresh and very flavorful. Service was outstanding, never had to wait for more water or for my bill. Only suggestion is to expand the number of stars for spice from the current 3 stars to 5 stars to give more range to the customer.

Came in for lunch on Monday with some coworkers — I was the only one that ordered from the lunch menu. $ 8.50 for a small soup, small eggroll and Chicken Pad Thai with 2 star(3 star spicy was the max). Soup was meh. eggroll is standard. pad thai was deathly sweet. I could barely eat half the plate. My girlfriend ordered the Pad Kee Mao with fried tofu — she said it was good. Was charged $ 2.00 extra for the tofu. Other friend got a curry. when it was brought to the table, the waitress said«sorry, I forgot to tell you it doesn’t come with rice». Umm. what kind of curry doesn’t come with rice?! How do you eat a thai curry… without. rice?! At least he said the flavor was good. I was craving a thai iced tea and had every intention of getting one at lunch UNTIL I saw the price… $ 6.00. SIXDOLLARSFOR A THAIICEDTEA?! I will not be returning.

I really like this place ALOT! They have a great lunch special that comes with soup, egg roll choice of rice and an entrée(10 options) for a vary fair price ! Also, for dining in for the month of October they give a 20% discount and 15% if you work or live in the area ! The food is really good and authentic! The spice levels range from 1 – 3 stars(3 being spiciest). Also an assortment of chili powder, thai chilis, hot sauce and Sriracha can be asked for. There is a full menu that is served all day as well, and the options are delicious. Red, green, yellow and pumpkin curry. Pad Thai, Pad see Iw and soups. The Satays are amazing and the fresh spring roll with prawn are super good. Those are just a few of the options on the full menu. Also, ask for a side of peanut sauce. It is made In store and is the stuff foodies dreams are made of. Give this place a try ! I highly recommend it !!

This is a new Thai restaurant in Belltown that has some of the authentic Thai dishes that I enjoyed. I highly recommended the curry shrimp with black pepper fried rice, papaya salad, I’m not a fan of Thai soup but LOVE their Tom yum — broth was clear and tasty. My friend ordered the green curry and loved it. I would give the ambience a 5 star. It was very clean with modern Thai arts and design. I had dinner, so I can appreciate the place being led up with candles on all the tables. I like my food spicy. Be careful, as there are only 1,2, and 3 stars — they do not play around. I got a 2 stars and it was perfect. The staff was very friendly and owner was professional.

As someone who lives above this Thai place I’m SOOOO happy they moved in and took over the spot. Previously, there was a horrible Thai restaurant in this location, and while this new one used some of the pre-existing wall art it’s far from it. The customer service was excellent and attentive but most of all the food was delicious. If you like spicy ask for extra spicy and they will deliver(something most Thai places fail to deliver on).

Finally got a chance to visit Thai on 1, as it is around the corner of my condo. Ordered: –Thai Iced Tea: tad too sweet but good. –Deep Fried Tofu: plain, simple, good sauce. –Chicken Yellow Curry: good flavors, requested 3⁄3 spicy but was not that spicy. –Crab Fried Rice: Very good, need a tad bit of more salt/black pepper to enhance the dish. –Shrimp Pad Kee Mao: WOW! good flavors, lots of shrimps, veggies were amazing. –Black Rice pudding: need to be more hot and more coconut milk. –Deep Fried Banana w/vanilla ice cream: good way to end every meal! Total: $ 59 Service was excellent, and a decent beverage menu as well. Portions are small compare to other Thai Restaurants but I will come back for sure, there are many things on the menu i need to try. Cant wait to try other dishes. *On a side note, their bathroom are amazingly decorated and so clean. I very much appreciated that!

I ordered regular fried rice with pork, and what came out was fried rice with pork and crab. Regular fried rice was $ 11 and crab fried rice was $ 13. I didn’t want to be charged for crab fried rice so I let the waitress know. She did offer to make me a new one, but I didn’t want to waste it. The fried rice was pretty weird probably because the pork was mixed in with the crab. When I got the bill, I saw that they charged me an extra $ 2 for the pork. I’ve never been to a Thai restaurant where standard protein didn’t come with the dish. If I had ordered crab fried rice, would I have been charged extra? It doesn’t make sense that crab fried rice is $ 13 and pork fried rice would be $ 13 as well. So with the discount, my fried rice still ended up being $ 11. The discount basically took off the $ 2 unnecessary protein charge. Not really a discount at all. Topped with the new owner grilling me about where I work and live, it was a confusing experience. I’m disappointed… Yummy Thai was fine because it was consistent. I’m hesitant to come back to Thai on 1 because I don’t know what I’ll encounter.

Feeling confused… I just ordered pad won sen from this restaurant, but when I took it home, found out that they had left out the noodles.(The noodles!) I had only the vegetables, tofu, and sauce. Sigh. Okay. People make mistakes– its easy enough to forget an ingredient. I reluctantly took it back to get my dinner. They apologized profusely and offered me a free beer or cocktail. Since I was getting take out, I declined, but then they offered me several other things off the menu. I eventually accepted some spring rolls. I waited for my order to be remade. When I got the dish back home, I found that they had forgot to include the complementary spring rolls(durk!). Oh well, I didn’t pay for them anyway. But then, the pad won sen was made of completely different ingredients than what the last attempted order had included and also had different ingredients that what was included in the menu description. And the noodles were all stuck into a tight ball(yuck)… I just feel confused. I feel a bit guilty posting this because I want small business to succeed, but did I just walk into a restaurant from the Twilight Zone? How come they couldn’t get any part of this right? Not to pile it on, but several other odd things happened during my visit, fairly harmless, but not great: First, when taking my order, they asked what meat I wanted. Assuming it was included, I ordered tofu. When I went to pick it up, there was an additional charge for the meat. Okay. That’s fine. No big deal. I dot want to be petty, but I wouldn’t have ordered a meat if I knew it wasn’t included since I didn’t feel strongly about including it. I thought it was in poor taste, but I couldn’t be bothered to nit pick. Then, the owner was sitting at the bar telling me about how I should come back more that week because of the 20% discount they had right now. When I sounded pleased, the waitress taking my payment said that, no, sorry, it doesn’t apply to take out. You’d have to eat in to get the discount. Okay. That’s a little weird. And I don’t know why the owner and waitress weren’t on the same page, or why they bothered to dangle it in front of me, but then take it away. But, okay. Icing on the cake: Listening to the owner ‘s unsolicited rant as she tells me about how bicycles are ruining the city and are the cause of Seattle’s traffic problems. Ughh. And I had to pay for this? Eek. I’m feeling bummed out from the bad experience. I was looking forward to having a new restaurant in my neighborhood.

Tried on Friday for lunch and it looked like they were doing some kind of work to the interior railing. Tried on Sat for lunch only to find a young boy hanging about, a strong smell of gas and finally left after no one approached me. Shouldn’t things of this nature be taken casre of before or after work.

Our first time here. They just opened last week I think? We ordered two curries that were pretty good. I loved the pumpkin curry, rich and flavorful with chunks of kobocha squash. Fried trout salad was refreshing and a must. Noodles were soft and fresh. I’ve heard the satay is suppose to be fantastic. We ordered 9 dishes and they were all Delish… Crab fried rice a must.
