I had the Kee Mao, and it was pretty great! Not quite the best Thai food I’ve ever had, but great for a weeknight supper — the employees were very nice and they made the food super fast. I look forward to trying more from their menu in the future!

Came here on a whim. Not too bad! Prices are a little more than average, expect to pay $ 10-$ 15 for a dinner plate. They have quite a few varieties of noodles, curries, seafood, and fusion entrees. We went with Panang curry(tofu) and Thai Thani Noodles(chicken). The curry didn’t come with rice or rhoti, which are sort of necessary. Each were available as sides, $ 2.00. Overall, the food was decent. Points for portions, presentation, and speed. The best part of the restaurant was definitely their staff. There was never a point in which my drink was empty. Their waitresses were exceptional, MayMoo being very friendly and accommodating. Service I would’ve expected from a 5star joint.

I’ve been here 3 times, and am just now getting around to a proper review. First thing I notice about this place is that it smells good. If it smells good, you know the foods gonna be good. Everything I’ve ordered here has been fantastic. The curry, pad thai, thai iced tea, you name it it’ll be great. My favorite dish so far was the red curry with roasted pumpkin. Everything was cooked well and seasoned perfectly. The roasted pumpkin was a brilliant touch. I literally could not get enough of this! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

For this place I broke my golden rule of «at least 4 Unilocal stars». Mostly because there were not a lot of better closer Thai options open on a holiday. Never again! For the standard average price of a Pad Thai($ 10) I got an edible but mediocre meal and sweet beyond belief. Two meals with no drinks for $ 27, at this quality, is robbery. Two stars only because service was OK and fast. But look elsewhere for a good Thai meal.

Great for a date night: across the street from the movies and a few blocks from the Sunset. Great food and service.

Have only ordered take out here… But it was fine. Not spectacular, not bad.

The food here isn’t horrific, but I wouldn’t recommend it. We got the Thai Thani noodle and tom kha gai, and there were some issues with both. Aside from one dish being extremely spicy compared to the other, we were surprised to find an entire tomato, cut into quarters, in both orders. The chicken in the soup was served in huge pieces, and I also found a fly.

After 3 times of trying to call in the phone finally connected. Starving in anticipation I placed my order for fresh rolls and green curry with tofu. It was just Devine. A hearty amount of tofu and giant roles. A tid bit pricy for a dinner for one, but hung over and couch locked it definitely was worth it.

Super rude if you come anywhere even close to closing. Lights full up, no more service and hostile. Ruined a date. Food is meh. Maybe lunch is okay but late night dinner is hostile to put it mildly.

I love their yellow chicken curry! The sauce is a bit on the thick side but the flavor is really nice. I ordered medium and it had just the right amount of kick. I ordered it sans tomatoes and wished the potatoes were cooked a bit more. My friends really liked what they ordered(basil chicken, pad thai and a tofu dish).

Went there for the first time during lunch today. I always order yellow curry when I eat Thai, and this is the first time I’ve had tomatoes(and not carrots) in my curry, but it actually tasted fantastic. I ordered a medium and it was perfect– but still spicy, so be forewarned. I read a review on here that states their spiciness differs, but hopefully that’s not the case and I can rely on ordering a medium for here on out. My husband got the yellow curry lunch combo, which comes with pad Thai. The pad Thai was sooooo good! I kept taking bites. Also I ordered no onions bc I don’t prefer them, but my husband ordered with, and it had quite a bit, so if you aren’t a fan of onions make sure to order without. Overall the yellow curry lunch(with soup and rice) and the yellow curry combo(with soup, less rice than the lunch, and pad thai) was about $ 19.50. Not bad for a delicious Ballard lunch. Will go back again for dinner– I like to gauge a Thai place by their larb gai and beef salads too; will update then!

Tried Thai Thani the first time tonight. We got take out. Ordered the fresh spring rolls, red curry with fresh tofu and ginger chicken delight. Overall, it wasn’t bad. I didn’t expect too much due to its reviews on Unilocal. The woman I ordered from was very friendly! That was a good start. The food: The spring rolls were lettuce, some herbs, 2 shrimp per roll, chicken and cucumber– pretty simple but not bad! I would have liked some carrot or just a little more than what was included, but it wasn’t bad. The red curry I got included tofu, bamboo shoots, and bell pepper. and basil. I guess that’s standard enough, but it would have been better with more veg or something(I’ve had it from other places that included eggplant, cabbage and carrot). The tofu was actually very firm– never thought I’d be picky with tofu, but I would have liked slightly softer tofu! The sauce wasn’t bad– could have used some more flavor and it was runnier than I’d like also. My boyfriend had the ginger chicken delight that wasn’t bad either– lots of onions, mushroom, chicken and carrot. Overall, I wasn’t blown away or impressed really but it wasn’t bad either. Prices aren’t too bad either but I’ve had better in Seattle for the same price. I’d say I would try it again but mostly since my Thai options in Ballard are rather limited and this place is probably the cheapest in the area.

Great pad thai and golden cashew nut, pad ped, green curry and tofu. It’s reasonably priced and the waiters is friendly and prompt. The ingredients are fresh and vegetables crisp, all served quickly with great presentation.

The Golden Cashew Nut Chicken with the Jasmine Rice is addicting!!! OMG I also tried the Pad See Ew which was ok. I have never dined in the restaurant but we faithfully call in orders for pick-up. I wish they delivered but they are centrally located.

This is one of my go to lunch spots when I don’t know what to eat. Here’s the run down… 1) You know what to expect. Everything tastes the same. If you’re getting the cashew delight, garlic lover, phad kee mao, or spicy basil, they all taste the same. A bunch of stuff tossed in hoisin sauce. Even their complimentary lunch soup tastes like the rest of the menu. 2) My favorite thing on the menu are the Fresh Rolls. Great combination of herbs, there’s a small sliver of chicken that you can’t really taste, and it comes with basically peanut butter sauce. It’s not peanut sauce. It’s peanut butter sauce. Nevertheless, I’m a fan of the situation. 3) They will probably mess up your order at some point. I’ve been here at least 20 times and once in a while I will get white rice instead of brown or fried tofu instead of steamed. I have just come to expect and accept this. 4) It’s actually a pretty good place for groups. Just pretty standard Thai if you’re all into that.

We came in late on a Sunday as a large group and order family style. The staff at Thai Thani was very helpful and accommodating for a good sized group. We were very satisfied with our service. For the large group we were able to order and had enough food to be satisfied at $ 11 per person including tax and tip. I enjoyed the food but some of it left something to be desired. I would recommend the panang curry, the pineapple fried rice, and the cashew chicken. The Mongolian beef was not my favorite. It was overly saucy which took away from what I’m used to being sizzling beef, this wasn’t. I’ve been there before and I will go back, just with more care over what I order. I’m looking forward to trying more of their curries for sure.

We ended up at Thai Thani because there was a 30 minute wait at Pestle Rock(on a Sunday!). I was pleasantly surprised by our experience. We shared an order of Tom Kha, pad Thai and the veggie delight. I also snagged a thai iced tea. The portion sizes were generous and the food was tasty — nothing mind-blowing but I would certainly order takeout from Thai Thani in the future.

The décor is nice, lots of wood and nice shelves and lighting. The food was great, we got the vegetable paradise and chicken pad Thai. So yummy! The cocktail menu looked good as well, although I did not have one. They have one called a thaiteani, Thai iced tea and captain Morgan! I recommend the food here, and the atmosphere is very calm.

Hey Thai Thani, you’re solid. I work nearby, and on those nights when I don’t want to cook, but don’t really want to go home right away, this restaurant has served a happy medium. I’ve dined in once and gotten take out a couple times, and have been happy with the consistency of both the portion sizes and spice level. My time eating in, I was able to grab a table and order within 3 – 4 minutes of walking in, and despite the high amount of take out I witnessed being prepped and going through the door I got my appetizer within 10 minutes of ordering, and my entrée about 5 minutes after that. Water was refilled before going empty, and I was checked on enough without feeling imposed on. My experience getting takeout, I’ve called in my order and walked the ¾ 10 minute ish walk and had my food ready for me when I’ve walked in. It seems that the restaurant has the take out and in house cooking divided up so that there’s minimal wait time. Prices are pretty standard for what I’ve seen for Thai restaurants: $ 9.50-$ 13 for entrée’s, $ 7 – 11 for easily shared appetizers. I did see a couple of dessert options, but didn’t take part in them. The portions are VERY generous, hearty eaters won’t have an issue getting leftovers.

Huge portions. Reasonable prices. The atmosphere and staff were a-ok. However, while the food was tasty, some of the food had areas that just couldn’t get me to click the 4 star rating. The green pork curry was a bit too sweet and thick with coconut for my tastes. The ginger salmon was pretty over cooked but the veggies and sauce were good. The mixed veggies were plentiful and cooked well, but nothing to be overly excited about. And the shrimp salad had good flavor but the shrimp were very dry and over cooked. That being said, I found it to be acceptable for a quick lunch just prior to arriving in Seattle a few hours before.
