Updating since they installed an ashtray to the side of the building and mildly cleaned up.

they have a decent selection of beers, specifically the shake-a-day beer, which was pretty good. not as inviting as I would have hoped for, and it doesn’t really have the English pub feel I was hoping for, and having lived two years in England, I like to think I have a damn good idea of what a real English pub should feel like. it’s a good time if you simply want beer and be left alone, but that’s about it.

Great staff, awesome food, TERRIBLE patrons on game and event days. It’s busy, I get it. They don’t seem to. Owner is hilarious but cray. It’s a fun bar. I always end up here somehow…

A decent English-style sports pub, with good food and well-balanced beer selection and a full bar. Good service and a well-kept store with no serious red flags in evidence. The bad reviews are of the ignorable«more-PC-than-thou» and«server did not pucker enough when kissing my hind quarters» variety. I like this shop! One of the first real beers I ever tasted was a proper bitter, in a proper London tavern, so my love of the variety goes deep. An English pub should be dark, cozy and woody, with art and paraphernalia reflective of the patron’s and owner’s tastes and interests. Atlantic Crossing pulls this off well enough while still being wash-and-wear enough to handle the rowdy Seattle sports crowds it caters to. If you come in here and order chicken wings and Budweiser, you’re an idiot. You can get that anywhere. But, they have that, too, so don’t be afraid to bring your less adventurous friends. I always recommend going for the stuff that’s hard to get elsewhere: Boddington’s, Bass or the very rare Smithwick’s on tap, and a Scotch Egg, Guinness Stew or the Shepherd’s Pie, done with lamb as it should be, to eat. Better ventilation for the restrooms and more consistent English taps(they tend to come and go, and you can’t rely on them having a favorite rarity) would garner that extra star from me. Tip for the management: there’s a cool brewery in Georgetown making traditional English-style beer, by the name of Machine House Brewery( ). You could carry their product, and so be local AND English simultaneously! :) Cheers.

This is my absolute favorite bar! Great food, great bartenders, and great atmosphere! And the patio out back is the shit!

For a young town, Seattle sure closes early?! Thankfully, the AC serves their full menu LATEATNITE! Their burgs are hand patted and, their lamb burger can’t be beat! So delicious!

American Outlaws have a lot of viewing parties at this place. The owner is very customer service driven with a strong passion for soccer. This is pub to watch your football and drink your suds and tease the owner with jokes.

I asked the bartender for a menu at the bar, and she requested to see my ID before she’d give me the menu. I asked, «For a menu?» She replied, «We’re a 21+ bar. Welcome to the AC!» I think this is strange though. If you’re so concerned, why not have a doorman? Because I questioned this procedure, the black haired bartender shunned me the rest of the night. This is why I gave two stars. The blonde bartender took care of me the rest of the night. The special on Tuesday nights is $.75 wing night, so I ordered thirty of those. Given we were there for the American Outlaws night before party for the U.S. Women’s National Team for soccer, the food came out quickly(about twenty minutes). I’ll probably be back if the Seattle chapter hosts another night before party. I think it would be best if the bar gets a doorman if they’re THAT concerned about carding people. I get carding for alcohol, but a menu? If you’re underage and wish to stay, avoid the bar and have a friend buy a soft drink for you!

Great place to watch a soccer game, watched the USA Mexico game the other night here and it was a blast. The place was packed with fans of both teams, there was chanting and cheering in both English and Spanish, there was even a mini-brawl at the end when the game was over. It was a fully realized experience. The only downside was that it was so packed we couldn’t really order any food, and were only able to get a couple of beers. We’ll be back for Sounders games though, for sure.

Visited this pub w/my girlfriend the first time & it was a good experience. The vibe is nice, cozy & chill. The workers are friendly, there’s pool tables &TV’s. The prices for beer are pleasant. However, tonight was my 2nd time going in. I called in for an order to go, 5 cheese large pizza and was planning to have a couple of beers once I was there. Upon arrival, I told the bartender my order and she brought it out w/the receipt. On their website, their cheese pizza is for $ 10 w/all of their specialty pizzas for $ 12. On my receipt I was charged $ 13 +tax. I informed her about this and told her that their menu says otherwise. She argued back by saying that their«menus change all the time… it was an error, and the pizza is $ 13& im sorry but I cannot do anything about the price.» I then asked her again to let me pay for the pizza for the amount it says on their website, she declined once again. Finally, I said I do not want to pay for something that Im not happy w/(the large pizza was actually a medium size) she replied by saying that«that’s fucked up to call and order and then not buy it, don’t come in here again» I got 86’d from this pub for not buying a medium size cheese pizza for $ 14.30. I still think it’s a good pub, for a couple brews and some late night munchies. My advice, just don’t go there on a Wednesday night, the blonde haired girl doesn’t know how to run a bar. She could’ve negotiated and let me purchase the pizza for what it is actually priced as on their site since it is misinforming & could have lost $ 3 instead of $ 13 and a local customer.

It was a little bit of a challenge to find this place while driving around, but once I did, I was happy I decided to check it out. The front is painted in dark colors and a little recessed from the sidewalk, so it’s easy to miss. Search. And be rewarded. I came in for happy hour on a whim. This gave me the place to myself for a little bit before it started to pick up. Of course, the service is great when it’s slow, but it seems that it might be great during busier times. Friendly folks… Beers are awesome!(a universal truth) But this place has Boddingtons! And some local stuff, including some good IPAs. Food: I tried the wings. These wings were a little tough, but good. I got them with the ‘suicide’ sauce, which is made in house. It’s a good sauce, don’t be shy about the name though, it has a good burn without being offensively spicy.

Eh… there’s good and bad. Bad — the service is poor, especially the thin, blonde male bartender. I was at a table for two hours on my last visit and he didn’t so much as offer a glass of water. The food is okay but nothing amazing. Good — One of the few places in Seattle that actually have audio on during soccer matches, so kudos for that. And they have some channels(i.e. FS2) that a lot of places don’t. Overall — I’ll continue coming here as part of my soccer bar rotation, with the hope that the staff either improves or changes.

Great spot to watch footie, get some brews and a veggie burger. The staff is nice, the size is OK(they have multiple TVs, just call to ask them watch games they’ll be playing that night) with an outdoor patio, usually taken by smokers, so I rarely go out there. Great hummus plate too, really enjoyed that last time I went to watch the Germany friendly game. Oh, and they have a pool table!

I have to say I am a fan! I’ve eaten here twice now, and I like it! I ordered to-go both times so I can’t comment on service or ambience. I ordered the fish and chips both times but the second time I substituted for curly fries. I definitely preferred the curly fries. The fish tastes fresh and has a nice batter that held up nicely even to-go. I didn’t like the slaw though. It’s pretty bland. I think even salt and pepper would greatly enhance the flavor. My bf ordered a burger and said it was awesome. He also ordered the poutine fries and they are sooooo delicious. I highly recommend the poutine fries! Yum. Solid place, especially for a quick weeknight dinner option.

I’ve enjoyed stopping by the AC most every Tuesday for«Wing night» with friends, and occasionally on other evenings as opportunities allow. As a local pub, The Atlantic Crossing is a terrific place to stop by to watch a game, eat a meal, play some darts or just talk with friends. They have a great selection on tap, enough screens for a busy game and a good atmosphere just to have a deep conversation. That said, the AC stands out as a terrific place because of their incredible team. Jen, Liz, Rissa, Terrin, Sarah Kate and all the other bartenders and cooks. Thank you for your excellent service, great attitude and willingness to make our visits outstanding!

Great place. Good food for what most would consider a bar. Moved to the neighborhood in 2007 and it;s about as close to my «Winchester» as I can get(bonuspoints if you get the Shaun of the Dead reference). My favorite — the Cuban sandwich– is no longer on the menu, and I miss the potato salad but still love the food I get. The hog shanks were a real pleasant surprise. My Dad visiting from the south didn’t believe me that they were that good, until he tried ‘em. I love the early morning Barclay’s games. Have only been to a few but great experience. I have never had a problem with the service here and I’ve been there ~30+ times. I usually sit at the bar and have been there when it’s busy and slow. But I’d like to think I have a pleasant demeanor, I don’t pester the waitresses with stupid questions about random things and I’m not a crappy tipper, so to all the reviews I read about crappy service… WTF! You live in a city. You want service like you get at TGIFriday’s…move to the Burbs.

First words in my journal after my first visit here, «Dear Diary, Jackpot!» My friends, this is the second installment of my eavesdropping bar review. Let’s get the important things out of the way first. Food=B+. For bar grub, their food is a step above. My personal faves-Suicide Burger, Fish & Chip and the Mac and Blue w/Bacon. The Suicide Burger ain’t no joke! The physical pain always heals, but I didn’t realize that something that I loved so much could cause me so much pain. And burgers are half price on Wednesday night, a tip from me to you. If you see somebody on Wednesday sweating bullets and shoving cold beer down his throat, dat me. Service=A. I love consistency. One of the main reasons I keep coming back are the bartenders. They’ve been there long enough so if you come in fairly consistently they get to know your name and favorite drink(s). Dey holdin’ it down over dey! Eavesdropping/Conversations=A+ Now for the good stuff. We all know that bars have high concentrations of alcohol and low concentrations of intelligent conversations, so keep that in mind. Eavesdropping # 1) Dude#1(D1) Girl #1(G1)-D1 was sitting next to me at bar. We strike up a conversation while watching basketball game. He’s waiting for a chick he met on Tinder and shows me her picture and asks my opinion. «Saaahhhweet!» as I nod with approval. She arrives shortly thereafter and sits next to him G1 advises D1 she’s slightly late because she went to see a tarot card reader and goes on about how she relies on the metaphysical-astrology, tarot cards, fortune tellers to get a good feel for the«aura» of a potential boyfriend. Don’t get me wrong this chick is hot and if I were 10 years younger and 15 years dumber I’d take a shot, but she keeps going on and on about this metaphysical mumbo jumbo that D1 cannot get a word in edgewise. He also makes a rookie mistake of telling her that her dress is not his style when she asks how it looks. She then goes to the restroom. D1: What do you think? Me: I gotta do what Steve Nash does… Pass. D1:Really? Me: Abort, dude, abort. To be honest relying on a tarot card reader to help decide if she likes you is kinda strange. And one other piece of advice. You gotta lie to her about her dress. Tell her it looks good on her even if it looks like she’s wearing a potato sack. It would be like my girlfriend asking if her jeans make her look fat and me replying«No, it’s all the chicken mcnuggets you eat that makes your ass so huge.» Not sure what happened after that but they did leave together a short time later. Eavesdropping # 2) Dude#1(D2) Girl #1(G2)-This next conversation is proof that the two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity. This is a great example of what happens when you get two morons in the same room. They were already there when I arrived and I think they were in the middle of a date. Some of the«accomplishments» G2 divulged-She once drunkenly tried to give a blow job to a guy in an elevator full of strangers. She hasn’t traveled much, but would like to go to countries such as Amsterdam and somewhere in Asia, like Maui. Channing Tatum was her favorite, not because of his looks, but because of his stellar acting, which she claimed was soooo underated. Some of the«accomplishments» D2 divulged-He gets compliments for looking like Channing Tatum. Correctly advised that Amsterdam is not a country, but was pretty sure it’s a city… in Germany.

They show soccer, they serve beer, I want to like it… but I just can’t. This place is far too cozy, and the setup is just off on where the TV’s are to watch the matches. On a positive note, we had the chicken tenders and fries basket off the menu and it was delicious.

Atlantic Crossing is a perfect example of why a large number of Seattle Bars frustrate the crap out of me. Here is the positives and negatives Pros: The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Burgers and sandwhiches around $ 10. They have salads and standard bar food in addition to some other good enters like mac and cheese. Plenty of decent beers on tap and a happy hour that goes from 3 – 6 pm and then from 11pm –1am. So you would think this would all be great but, Cons: The service at this place SUCKS! I don’t mean it sucks the only time I have been here, I mean it sucks all of the 15 times I have been here. To the point I give up and don’t want to come back. I will give you an example of how it sucks. I get to the bar at 7:40pm. Sit down order a drink, a burger and an ice water. the drink, burger and water all arrive at the table at 8pm. Now here is where the crappy service comes in. The waitress does not come back to the table until 8:31pm. I finished my drink, burger and water before she ever showed back up again. And it wasn’t like she was busy. She was sitting at the bar talking to someone at the bar while all of the other tables were having the same experience as me. This isn’t a one time thing I have this same experience EVERY time I ever come. It is not going to get better it is just how they are. Would be great if the waitstaff showed a little pride in their job but don’t think it is going to change. From now on I will just go around the corner to Teddy’s where you can actually get a drink if you need to.
