I absolutely LOVE this spot. It’s a bit out of place in the industrial district — which is actually a bit of an appeal if you ask me. One of the best things is that it’s crazy dog friendly! I bring my pup in all the time and we have sat both inside and out. The staff is incredibly friendly and really try to get to know you. The back patio is wonderful and has lots of room — I am looking forward to going there at night when it is nice out to check out the night scene and the lights outside. Affordable, comfortable, would recommend to anyone just wanting to kick back and have a few good drinks.

The bartender’s attitude put a damper on our whole experience here. Plus she was the only one working so the wait was long and the venue isn’t nice during the fall season when you can’t enjoy their patio area. Drinks were good but happy hour deals aren’t. The food items on the menu are also unimpressive. They don’t accept charges on credit card for less than $ 10 and only accept cash after 8pm. What the…

Love it. It has a great little area that is unbeknownst to the hipsters that are starting to take over Georgetown. The bartenders are awesome and their cook isn’t all about the heavy and greasy bar food you’re used to. I got the spinach omlette and added bacon for brunch. Fantastic. Also tried their house drink with strawberries. So good! Also, they are dog friendly. I only went out onto the patio and didn’t stay inside for long because the weather was nice so I’ll definitely be coming back to to see what else they have to offer.

I came here on September 13, 2015 to watch the Seahawks take on the Rams in the season opener(the game started at 10 am). There’s a nice breakfast menu and the beer choices are good. I really enjoyed playing the football board. There’s a lot of great people here, including those who come to watch football. This place is great for watching sports.

Met my sister here for happy hour; I can’t believe it’s my first time in Georgetown! Not quite a dive bar, not quite your neighbor’s backyard, not quite a trendy café; the Blu Grouse is the best mix of all of the above! A welcoming bartender, down-to-earth patrons, great classic rock, and a retro Airstream in the *large* outdoor patio make this a stellar venue to catch one of the numerous live bands they have listed on their calendar — I’ll definitely be back to check one out!

In a city that is striving to maintain some sense of randomness/individuality in its pubs, this is a great example. Chill inside, laid back patio out the back, plenty of game-time tv’s, cash bar, and all the major and minor Georgetown taps you could want. Eclectic and inclusive mix of people, which is what you always want in a Seattle pub.

Took my wife here for a birthday lunch becasue of the cool vibe, unique off the path location and good reputation. She loved the bohemiem off kilter feel and so did i and despite the kale chips being out of this world, the tacos were amazingly terrifyingly bland. But that’s not the worst part. On a slow day, we came in at noon and weren’t served until 12:55. A kitchen that slow at lunch for tacos is unforgivable. Sad, becasue this place really does have a cool vibe. I would say«cocktails only»

It’s the rare bar menu where I’ll say, «Go there and order whatever, it’ll be good.», but I’ve been to this place 4 or 5 times using this strategy, and they haven’t disappointed me yet. This is definitely unconventional bar fare, but this is definitely a good thing if you’re in the mood for something besides the usual bar cavalcade of fried foods. Spinach salad w/chicken, tuna melt, Thai wraps, meatball sub with pepperoni and olives– most of these, I was a little wary about one ingredient or another, but found myself pleasantly surprised. Note that everything there is à la carte, so I can see where the ‘$$’ notation came from– but I’ll often eat lunch here for under $ 10 – 12, so I’d say it’s borderline ‘$’. Staff was friendly and quick, vibe is casual and relatively quiet. Also, this place tends to play good music, and has lots of interesting décor– old record covers, vintage pin-ups(tasteful), all on a wood-furnished interior.

Very dog friendly, loved my salad, visited with a large group of friends and we were treated great. Will definitely think of this place again. We quite enjoyed the patio.

I was so excited to try this place out because the menu looked like it had so many great flavorful yet healthy choices. I was disappointed in the service and food I received. I want to like it, in fact I want to love it, but I can’t.

Cool little spot in Georgetown — very friendly folks here. Definitely a neighborhood vibe where likely if you show up more than a few times you are welcomed like family. Small but well spaced and organized. Bar is deep in the back down some steps. Probably not a great spot if you are claustrophobic but it you are looking for a night out with close friends without much fanfare but well crafted drinks and great parking check this place out for sure. I am glad I did.

My FAVORITE place in Seattle for a casual pint and a bite. Six rotating taps, with a little something for everyone, and a great bottle selection. The food is delish, I recommend the Kale Chips and Fish Tacos, but the pizzas and bagels are good too. All staff members are friendly and know how to pour one hell of a drink. Tips: they’re only open on game day Sundays, and cash only after 8pm(don’t worry, there’s an ATM)

This review is based on my experience the one time I visited while I was in town on vacation. My husband and I(and our dog) stopped by for lunch one afternoon. This place was a quick pick because they welcome dogs and had some pretty nice Unilocal reviews. We sat on the front porch(not realizing there is a back area with tables and stuff). It was, for a 1pm lunch, nice and quiet. A very chill and relaxed environment. The waitress/bartender brought us drinks and took our order. She was attentive, but not intrusive. And she was really nice to both us and my dog, Penny(and if you’re nice to my tiny dog, we’re best friends for life). I got the Thai Grouse wrap(a Thai inspired, chicken wrap with peanut sauce, cabbage, and carrots), which was delivered to the table with a much appreciated and needed sriracha hot sauce. I liked the wrap, but it seemed slightly more dry that I would have anticipated. It was GOOD — but I think if the cabbage shreds were tossed in a light vinaigrette before being put on the wrap it would have helped immensely — just because the peanut sauce was dry, and cabbage absorbs moisture too. I ate half. He ate the other half. He really loved it and told me I had lost my marbles. So… whatever. My husband got the chicken nachos. Standard chicken nachos, fully loaded. So delicious. I don’t know if it was the atmosphere, the fact that I hadn’t had nachos in over a month(WHY?!), or that I just love nachos, or that they were just THATGOOD… either way — we both were really digging the nachos. He ate half; I ate half. The puppy helped with a few chips. We were all digging it. Anyways — I think this is a great little place to stop by, at least for lunch. If I’m ever back in the Seattle area again, I would absolutely stop in again.

You guys; I am ADDICTEDTOTHEFISHTACOSANDFRESHKALECHIPS. They are both so great! Every time I am at work and hungry, my immediate craving is to get the fish tacos to go. Great patio, amazing service. They ladies are adorable and the food is great. Grateful to have this place so close by, check it out.

My friend took me for lunch here for my birthday last week. I’d never been, but it was close to our office and it had fish tacos — so count me in! When we arrived around 11:30am, the place was empty. In fact, only one other patron came in during our entire time there. Kind of odd! We both had the fish tacos, which were awesome! They came with a choice of two sauces on the side. I had the chili-lime and chipotle salsas. The chipotle is SPICY, but oh-so-good and the chili lime was super tasty. The tacos themselves were packed full of fish and veggies, which was great. We also had a side of kale chips, which I really liked. They were deliciously light with lots of flavor. I could have inhaled the whole plate of them myself. Our waitress was friendly and nice. Prices were pretty good, considering how much food we got. I think the food could have come out a little bit faster(especially considering we were the only people there!), but other than that, I have no complaints. I would certainly come back here again.

I’ve been here twice for lunch and I have to say ‘meh, I’ve experienced better’ as far as the food goes. Today, I had a different wrap than I had the last time(quinoa wrap). And while I love quinoa, I have to say that the wrap was nothing special. I really want to like this place, but the menu is just not there yet. So far, I have seen two salads, one order of fish tacos, and one pizza flat bread with my cohorts. Everybody reported, ‘meh’ – except the pizza; the pizza was reported as being good, if a little small. The service is great; so it’s not that at all. I will say that I don’t get the décor? I do like the building, but this place doesn’t have a «style» yet, if that makes sense? Most people that have reviewed BG seem to come for the bar funsies in the evenings. If I come back by here in the evening for drinky time, I’ll update this review :) Hang in there, Blu Grouse, I’m sure you’re just getting started!
