In 2012, 34,019,045 clicks generated 38,441,521 cups/4,805,190 pounds of food for the hungry. 365 of those clicks were mine. Please help by adding your clicks daily in 2013. And read my previous review, it’s the whole story.

The Hunger Site is a great place to get gifts for the holidays or any other time of year. The company typically donates 25 – 50 cups of food, for each item purchased, to charitable organizations that help prevent hunger, like Mercycorps (over 90% of their donations are allocated directly to programs). They often have«free shipping» or 1-cent shipping promotions(I believe there’s one going on right now — for the holidays). And for anyone who’s looking to buy some last minute gifts, they’ve got«express shipping» options as well. They really do have a lot of cool, CUTE stuff(see links below) and it’s affordable. Personally I am a little turned off when some companies say they’ll donate a portion of the profits to a charity, but either the item they’re offering is way too expensive or it’s not something I’d want to buy anyway… luckily that’s not a problem here. The Hunger Site charges about what a typical retail store would charge for the items. You may be able to find them a little cheaper on the internet, but hell, if it’s a gift under 20 bucks and I can tell the recipient 50 cups of food were donated with the purchase… it’s all good. I’d posted some funky links earlier but they’re fixed now. Check out some of these items(and note there are typically several pages of each): Earrings: … Their crystal snowflake earrings are so pretty!
Necklaces and pendants: Rings: Bath goodies: Fair Trade(get your java here):
Purses and handbags: Scarves: (note: their«magic scarves» often go on sale). Christmas stuff: (the jingle bell jewelry set is so cute!) There are way more categories than that but those are the ones I like the most. Once again, ALL items — even those that are just $ 4.95(like the jungle chocolate in the fair trade section … mmmmmm) will generate a 25-cup donation. Woohoo! Even if you don’t buy a thing, you easily can help sponsor 1.1 cups of staple food for a person in need by just visiting their site. All you have to do is click on their«donation» button on their homepage: . Just clicking on that little yellow button makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside… extra nice when it’s so darn cold out.
