They overcharged my card multiple times including even after my account was closed. They would only offer a store credit (which what’s the point of that the account is closed) no notice of warning that there would be further draws after closing it down and they are not accredited with the BBB I would not and will not be coming back to this place. There are a lot less expensive, equally friendly staffed tannin locations everywhere don’t go to tropical tan

Tropical Tan Lake City has some of the BEST customer service and product offerings of any tanning salon I have ever chosen. They consistently update and upgrade their lotions, red-​light beds, tanning beds and now, they have the wonderful and convenient Versa Spa spray tan unit. (the Versa is especially ideal because of its blow-​drying feature so you don’t need to stand around waiting for your tan to dry… very convenient).
The staff is super friendly, efficient and accommodating… Their in-​store manager (Dani) is not only an excellent leader, but she mixes professionalism and friendliness quite well. Five stars of this location. Thanks.

I’ve been going to this location for around 7 years and the staff is incredible! The salon manager Dani goes above & beyond and Megan is the sweetest too! My fiancé and I both are regulars and it’s always a pleasure seeing both of them!

I love this this location! All the employees are very nice and answer any questions I have. They also have the redlight therapy which is my favorite bed to go in! I love being able to walk in for a tan and the girls know who I am. Best tanning salon out there!

I’ve been coming to this location on-​and-​off for a few years, and I definitely like what it has become. The girls here are not pushy with their sales pitch as they used to be. It’s annoying when you can see them trying to up-​sell you. So I appreciate the chill professional atmosphere at this salon. Dani is such a hard worker, she is very friendly and accommodating, goes out of her way to explain and show everything to her customers, and is very good at remembering everyone’s names, which I never could! Great team!

Beware of the fine print!!! If you buy a monthly «no commitment» package, it is $ 5 a month to put your account on hold, and must have a 30 day notice to cancel all together. Also must come in to the store to do either! What a waste of $ 100…

SeriOusly, I wish they would stop running spray tan specials on sites such as groupon and living social because that darn machine is ALWAYS broken. Broken or out of juice or «being fixed». So they sent me to the shoreline location. I had an appointment. I drive all the way over there to discover low and behold… it’s «half broken»! Yep. I begged so they let me use it anyways and It didn’t work at all except for the two streaks it left on my one arm for my photo shoot. Oh and to top it all off they were rude, would not comp my visit, and when I asked the lady why didn’t she simply just call me ahead of time before I showed up for the appointment as a customer courtesy, ya know to maybe inform me of the problem??? Wtf? Good bye trop tan, I’m no longer a fan.

I have tanned here for a few months and I love it! This location is really nice and has big tanning rooms, they also leave out extra goggles which I appreciate because I am always forgetting mine at home. I also like their mystic tan booth, because some locations mystic booths can spray really weirdly, but at this one I leave evenly tan all over!

I love it here. Everyone is helpful and none of the staff have ever been pushy. If they work on commission, you wouldn’t know it. There are pretty much always beds available and they have a wide variety to choose from, which I like. As long as this place exists and I live nearby, I will be a customer!

I finally made my switch, thank goodness i did!
I must say I so happy i came to tropical tan from Seattle sun tan, your employees were very helpful & so sweet to me! I came in Wed May 8th, there was two girls working the blonde helped me, and she was so nice told me all about the beds gave me a tour, told me all about your deals and helped me so kindly figure out what worked best for me! I would definitely recommend Tropical Tan to anyone. Thanks for the awesome experience, keep up the good work!

I have always liked tanning here. The staff have always treated me well and the prices are best. I have personally never had a problem obtaining an equal tan but if it was true that the bulbs were newer on the top I assume that would be because of the space between the bulb and body is closer below you rather than above.

I just started tanning here again after a year or so and all of the staff are so friendly. They do not try to push me into a sale I do not want. The salon is clean and user friendly. I will never go to Desert Sun again!

I’ve tanned at the Lake City and Alderwood locations and both are great. The Lake City location has a great variety of beds, and I especially love the red light bed. There are always good specials and the staff is very friendly. I’m not sure why another review said they only change bulbs on one side of the bed, because I’ve never had a problem with them. I always get a really good tan in a short amount of time.
