Tully’s on Nickerson is okay overall but the customer service suffers from certain employees, especially on Mondays after 5PM there with the mob mentality and immaturity you can see in a young teenager at a high school. The difficult part is I am not sure if this is race-based as, I hate to say, the customer service has a tendency to become volatile if you possess a non-American accent. Mornings and the weekends are the best time go as the customer service is excellent and Jeff, the assistant manager knows the regulars and Isaac always has a positive attitude. The lady who based on the name tag, is a manager is also professional and proper. I hope that the bad customer service on Monday late afternoons gets resolved as I find it exceptionally offensive and in a sense, racially charged.

This Tully’s is my go-to coffee shop. I like the coffee there. Like not love. What keeps me coming back is the fact that its not really hard to get a seat, the proximity to my house, and I LOVELOVELOVE the friendly staff there. I don’t really know anyone’s name and I’m sure they don’t know mine but ALL of them are super duper friendly. I usually order 4 items: soy vanilla latte, soy vanilla matcha, strawberry smoothie with the non dairy option, and banana walnut bread all of which I love. I encourage you to STAYTHEHELLAWAYFROMTHISPLACE as I don’t want it to become crowded with assorted yahoos. One knock against it is that there is sometimes hipster scumbags present that make their way there and talk out loud about… whatever as if they invented it(movies, music, city ordinances, you name it).

I like coming here when I get tired of starbucks(sbux is just really convenient in seattle…), but I actually wish there were more tullys in this area. I mean, people do get tired of that green siren sometimes(sorry not sorry). This tullys is great. Service is always wonderful. The foods are fresh and yummy(love the salads and the hummus chicken pack). I recently had the sausage breakfast sandwich and it’s much bigger and better quality than starbucks’ sausage sandwich! It was so good. I also love that this tullys uses ghiradelli chocolate syrups in their drinks! The black and white mocha is heavenly, as well as the intense dark chai! Two of my favorites here. One complaint is how inconsistent the drinks are at times. Over the past 4 years of being a student at a university nearby, I’ve always had a few times where the id order the same thing but it won’t taste the same. Gotta work on that! They have a rewards card system that I didn’t know about until a group mate let me in the know. Every 10th cup is free or something like that. Great to use if you frequent here!

The coffee was great and there was ample seating, the store is clean and has reliable wifi. However, the barista Deborah was overly pushy. No I do not want a banana bread, no I do not want a scone, and no I do not want a cinnamon roll; I’m gluten free thanks for asking. I understand up selling but this was girl was to much.

Lattes are consistently inconsistent. I have a feeling that they don’t look at the thermometers when frothing the milk since some lattes are overheated and others are not frothed enough. Not to mention that more often than not they use regular milk in my drink instead of the nonfat that I requested. It can be quiet and I can repeat the nonfat part twice and they will still use regular milk. It’s not that big of a deal, but I have to interrupt the employee’s conversation to ask if they are using nonfat milk. One time the barista asked me if I wanted nonfat milk(with an attitude) after I asked if the milk she was using was. Her annoyed attitude didn’t sit well with me considering the drink was supposed to be made with nonfat milk. I can understand screwing up a drink once in a while, but it happens consistently regardless of the ambient noise level.

This place serves coffee. It is very close to my house. They have food that is pretty good and stuff. They also have a bunch of chairs and other places to sit, which is nice while I’m waiting for my über to take me to work.

Relaxed atmosphere. Good coffee. Only complaint I have is that almost every time I go here, I order my coffee, give them my name, and go sit down and mess around on my phone… And not once have they called my name or even my drink to tell me it’s ready. If I’m standing right by the pick up counter, they’ll say what it is. But when I go sit down, I sit there for 5 minutes thinking my drink isn’t done yet, and look up and it’s just sitting on the counter. This bothers me for some reason. I mean really? How hard is it to say«Lindsi». It’s not hard. My name is written right there on the cup. Or you could even say, «nonfat white mocha». … Irks me.

I went there for my coffee as I usually do in the morning only this morning they forgot my drink, just forgot it. I complained because that is just unacceptable and they gave me a card which supposedly had 2 free drinks on it. It doesn’t work anywhere. I will never go back to tullys again!

Nice sweets. Awful bagels(so wonder-bread-ish). Flaky wi-fi. Great seating options. Love the basket of newspapers, and the coffee is fine, so it’s a frequent stop for me when I don’t want to climb a hill or cross a bridge.

Call me crazy, but I like the way Tully’s coffee tasts! Compared to starbucks, it seems a lot less of that«burnt» flavor which I normally cover up with sugar and sweetener. This store is in my neighborhood so I like to stop in from time to time…

I ordered a small drip because I saw that– according to the timer on the pot– it had just been brewed. «Sweet!» I thought, «Good timing this morning.» Unfortunately, the snarky, rude, college-aged(female) barista on shift today thought it would be appropriate to serve me coffee out of the urn I hadn’t noticed when I ordered(but noticed while she was pouring the coffee into my cup) whose timer was counting down the last thirty seconds. Basically, they were about to dump it. So I asked nicely(I swear! Complete with a genuine smile!) if I could get a fresh cup and rather than immediately complying with a smile, she told me it was still good(«We brew fresh every hour»). «Yes,» I insisted, «I know that since I used to be a barista myself & I also know you’re about to dump it– could I please just get a fresh cup since it’s already brewed?» She looks to her equally snarky and rude fellow baristas(I say this based on their facial expressions) and reluctantly motions that one of them should go ahead. I slid the lukewarm cup of joe back across the counter and I turned my back for a split second to give them the illusion I wasn’t paying attention to see what they would do. Serving me the same cup of coffee is the oldest trick in the Disgruntled Barista Handbook, and that’s *exactly* what they did. I was there for a business meeting so I didn’t confront them about it, but I am writing this review to explain that this behavior is exactly why I won’t be back. A small cup of coffee costs the shop no more than 10 cents(I paid $ 1.92), so is it really such a cost-bearing burden to pour me a fresh cup? There are too many other coffee joints in the area that have better customer service– and better coffee, frankly– to warrant wasting my money in this establishment ever again. Peet’s in Fremont(which also has free parking in the PCC garage), at least two coffee-slinging locations on SPU’s campus a block away(park in guest parking or the free hourly street parking), and all the other delightful(locally-owned) java huts in Fremont, Upper Queen Anne, & Ballard. Go elsewhere.

It’s Seattle and there are coffeehouses and coffee huts at every corner. There are even more of your larger coffee corporations, like Starbucks and Tullys. This particular one is special because of their service. I frequent this shop and every time I go the baristas are friendly, efficient and most important accurate. I appreciate their breakfast options as well ranging from scrumptious baked goods to a heart bowl of oatmeal and even breakfast sandwiches.

My first few experiences here were really good ones, so I kept coming back. But each time, it got worse. It’s like they hired a bunch of people that have no idea how to make an Americano. Really, though, the proportions were super off and just gross. The employees are really nice though. I would probably give them another try if I was in the area. I still have hope.

Definitely a fan of this location. I have been coming here ever since my company(StoneWay CrossFit) moved into the neighborhood and I throughly enjoy the atmosphere, coffee and staff. Immediately, my coffee was memorized(Black coffee, no room, a little ice) and named«Scott’s Coffee». Not only was this memorized by one staff member but a few. So keep your eyes open for Scott, Jeff, Kelsey and Ryan. These are my favorite people who work there. It’s always refreshing to see these guys. If you want a comfortable atmosphere, great staff, great people and easy Wi-Fi this is the coffee shop for you!

I feel silly writing a review of Tully’s…as others have said, either you like Tully’s coffee and ambience or you don’t. But this Tully’s is exceptional, and it’s completely because of their awesome staff. I work across the street, so I come in here every day. After just a few weeks, all the baristas knew my name and greeted me like a friend. They’re really efficient but friendly and it’s always a joy to stop by in the morning for my coffee. Those folks all deserve a Unilocal shout-out!

Many of you take offense to «words» created by media«masterminds» in order to piqué our interest and/or threaten our taste buds with promises of deliciousness of the most extreme variety. Snicker’s despicable«Hungerectomy» ads immediately come to mind. Some of us are offended but don’t give it a second thought. Others shudder. Others still may be inspired to extremes, like taking the chance of missing one’s flight in order to leave a note in the Tully’s suggestion box. For the love of god, for the love of us folks with taste– dare I say integrity– I beg of you, do away with the BELLACCINO. Just because the two words actually DO exist(separately) in the Italian language does not mean that it is acceptable to merge them together to make up a word for a beverage that may be called by the more common«frozen coffee shake.» Thank you. So fresh and so clean! They offer lunch! And they are nice, too. It’s a brand new shop, so of course it is. As someone who cheerfully spends a lot of time(aprox 50 hours per week) on or around Nickerson, I am glad to have a covered place off-campus to come and get tea, and where we do not have to wait a millennium at the light to cross the Fremont bridge. I would say it’s as comforting a warm apple pie, or as needed as a day off from the rain in the dead of Seattle winter. Take time to give appreciation for the variety of great teas and rain forest-friendly Yerba Mate.
