One of my favorite Georgetown places to pick up a delicious bite to eat, but alas, just left after watching food handlers on the line preparing food with their bare hands. The money handler was pushing food off the warming dish with her fingers and even worse, one worker had a bandage on her finger and after touching her nose and then LICKING her fingers, she proceeded to pick up meat and cheese with these bare hands. Have they not had food safety training? I was totally grossed out and will unfortunately never eat there again. So sad.

My daughter was given a whole box of bakery and eatery goods from this café to put on a common area table to share with a low income apartment building where her mother and father reside. Everyone was so thankful and was very very delicious. What a generous and kind act that was extended to all of us. Not many made it to the table as residents were picking items as I walked to the table. My blessings to my daughter and truly to Two Tartes Café!

Simple food made simply is just what you need sometimes. Soups, sandwiches, baked goods and a great breakfast special make it one of my favorite out-of-office places to have a meeting or get some work done.

I can’t believe I stumbled onto this place. The egg sandwich they prepared for me was delicious and their bacon/green onion scone was unique and amazing!!! Plus the cashier was so completely nice to me and took the time to tell me about other places I might want to try locally, especially since they are closed on Sundays. Great experience here and I will go back when I stay at the Georgetown Inn.

We recently had Two Tartes cater our wedding weekend and it was fantastic! Lori and Sue were great to work with and very accommodating and creative to some of our guest with food allergies, etc. The food was outstanding in flavor, presentation, and execution. The service staff they used were also exceptional! We will definitely be using them again in the future and referring our friends!

This review is for the catering services. We were lucky to book Lori and Sue for our wedding weekend. They catered two events, a wine dinner at Kerloo Cellars and a wedding at our home. We were impressed from the first meeting. The food is exceptional and all our guests raved about how good everything was. They were very accommodating to food allergies and sensitivities we had for some of our guests. They were flexible on budget and are willing to do as much or as little you need for planning(party rentals, alcohol purchases, providing bartenders/wait staff, set up, etc) Their goal was for us not to stress during our special weekend, but to enjoy the moment with our family and friends. They were even kind enough to do a site visit at the winery and our home in advance of the event. We are a little OCD and they were very patient and reassuring that everything would work out perfectly. Mission accomplished! Every detail was executed by the Two Tarts team. They had amazing and friendly service staff. I really can’t imaging using another catering company. I highly recommend Lori and Due for your catering needs!

Excellent staff and amazing food. Two Tartes has such a family atmosphere, and they show local art which is always interesting to see. Shannon the lead barista and cashier is the best barista and makes the best coffee! I have nothing bad to say about Two Tartes!

The Snicker-doodle cookies are big enough to share, but with their perfectly baked yet soft texture I’m not sure you will want to. Four stars because their not mind blowing.

I’ve come here for lunch on a few occasions since I work nearby, and I have never left disappointed. Their sandwiches are all tasty(get them grilled on their panini press!) and their baked goods are divine. I finally caved and tried one of their gigantic chocolate chip cookies, and it was one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. My coworkers swear by their white chocolate raspberry scones too. I’m also a fan of their fresh salads. Their bakery is cute and quaint, and their dog Jeffrey roams free, which I absolutely adore. Great place for quick bite or to just lounge and eat.

Event: Corporate Catering(breakfast and lunch) Pros: Punctual, affordable, and delicious. Cons: Not a fan of the curried chicken sandwich. I wanted to try a new catering company for my corporate event at work. I decided to go with Two Tartes Bakery after reading some positive reviews on Unilocal. I sent in an online request with my order. Lori responded to my email quickly. Their website was very helpful with menu options, so ordering was simple. I was so busy with my meeting that I forgot to follow up with Two Tartes with a few details. Lori took the initiative and followed up with me a few days before my catering event. The delivery was exactly on time. I can’t stress how important punctuality and promptness is when dealing with corporate events. It was so refreshing to see a company who values timelines. Breakfast: Baked french toast, bacon, fresh fruit and juice. Lunch: Assorted sandwiches, pasta salad, green salad a cookies. Generous portion sizes. The baked french toast and meats were nice and hot. The fruit was fresh along with the juice. The sandwiches were a nice assortment of breads, rolls, and meats. It also had vegetarian options. The only negative feedback that I received was that my group wasn’t a fan of the Curried Chicken sandwich. Conclusion: Overall, Two Tartes was wonderful to work with and provided quality food. I will be using them again in the future, as well as referring them to my other co-workers for their corporate accounts.

What a nice break from all the heavy food in the area(well, I guess it was my personal choice to eat at Katsu burger and Calozzi’s one after the other. but still.) Dropped by to pick up lunch for the office and everyone enjoyed their sandwich. . For sandwiches, the pressed/grill option is genius! The way the grill marks form remind me Ruffles potato chips. Comes out delightfully crunchy. Although I’m a very happy omnivore, I ended up with the Vegetarian — something about the dainty café & bakery setting always compels me to order something healthy — mostly because I’m also walking out with gigantic baked goods anyhow. Definitely get the cookies.

I was really looking forward to having these ladies cater our wedding with fruit pies. Unfortunately, they were completely rude and refused to answer any of my emails or calls. I emailed them through their website back in February(my wedding is end of June) inquiring about types of pies they will have in June and prices. Never heard back. Determined, I called the café a few weeks later, started speaking to someone and explained what I wanted. and was hung up on without a return phone call. Still determined(because, according to Unilocal and other sites, they were worth it), I called again this week and spoke to Shannon. She informed she wasn’t the person who would be able to answer my questions(really…you can’t tell me the price of a whole fruit pie, or even what kinds you serve?) and gave me Lori’s personal email. I wrote explaining my requests to Lori, who replied just now that they are unavailable on my date. She signed off with *cheers* though, so I’m sure she means well. Have you been booked since February? Methinks no. I’m going with American Pie BC now. Super friendly, helpful, and way delicious.

They open at 7 am and close at 3 pm so get there early! The pastries run out pretty quickly and as the clock ticks closer to 3 pm, there won’t be much left to choose from. I had tea and cookies. The giant cookies are relatively priced and the apple turnovers are to die for. Our bill was $ 4 including tax(for two teas, a cookie and a pastry). I would definitely go again.

Holy crap, this place makes some amazing sweets! My friend and I came in to grab something to satisfy our sugar cravings. We ended up splitting a chocolate cupcake and a chocolate chip cookie. The cupcake had one of the most moist and flavorful cakes I have ever had — it was insanely good. The frosting was equally delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was the perfect texture — very slightly crunchy edges and a chewy center with soft chocolate chips. YUM! The total for both was only $ 4.25, which seemed like a great deal to me. The have a really nice little sitting area with lots of chairs, tables, and a few couches. It was pretty comfy and inviting. I will definitely be back here!

Great little shop in Georgetown! Looking for a good lunch option and stumbled upon this place. Special of the day was pork shoulder panini with side of gravy for dipping! hello! Tasty and juicy, I only wish there was more! The interior is comfy and quaint. It looks like they have a a lot of baked goods which I did not partake in during this visit but will defnitely check out!

I got carried away over the weekend. I have a personal SLA that I will only visit one bakery each week. Instead, I tried three. Oops. But I had good reason to. At least I tell myself that. Whiffies(ok, it is a food stand) of Portland was here only for Mobile Chowdown and to my knowledge, I think Great Harvest in Ballard only offers garlic bread the weekend of Ballard SeafoodFest. So what is my reason for visiting Two Tartes. Well it is the painful fact that they are only open on weekdays. So how the heck did I try Two Tartes. No, I did not go Top Pot maple bar stealing. Instead, I visited the new Georgetown Farmers Market on Saturdays at Rainier Brewery. Thankfully, Two Tartes is one of the vendors! I would have preferred Two Tartes to open for Saturdays so I can see their full selection, but this will do. No sandwiches or soups, but a lot of tasty sweets found here. It was around 1 pm and the sun was shining bright. But it was no mirage to find a good selection of scones(sweet and savory), huge cookies, brioche pastries and cup pies here. I found it impressive that there was so many choices. It could have been so easy to just make a huge batch of the same flavors. It was amazing how the staff at the stand rambled down the list of type of cookies and scones available by name and by looking at them. Picked up a pepper and onion scone($ 2.25) which was a savory breakfast delight. It has an eggy type taste which I enjoyed. The batter just seems to work well. And then there was the ginormous mojo(oatmeal, coconut, chocolate chip) cookie($ 2). These are like at least double the size of a typical cookie. These were good as well. The cookies are of the chunky and chewy type. While I did not try out the actual storefront, I did get a good idea of the offerings at Two Tartes from my visit to the farmers market. The trip totally legitimized my breaking of the one weekly bakery visit limit that I have set. I had good reason to with the offerings available at Two Tartes.
