Nice surprise. Fabulous bartender. Very excited to share his knowledge of the multitude of beers on tap and bottled /cans. Great fireplace in the center. Beer to fit any taste and the bartender will absolutely fit your preference(even none beer drinkers). Loved this place.

There’s no denying Über has a great selection of beer. The bottle list is much better than the draft list, but the drafts were still good. The place is rather small and has a friendly neighborhood feel to it. The bartender was polite but not one for conversation. For some weird reason, the place was super empty on a Friday night. It was a strange introverted atmosphere, which is totally fine, but felt like I had to whisper so the rest of the bar couldn’t listen in. Über is probably a great place to read a book at the end of the work day and nobody would bother you, but not the best for a lively Friday night out.

Dropped in with some beer aficionados and the bartender clearly picked up on it. He brought over several wonderful Saison beers for us to taste, completely unprompted. A nice, warm, crowded pub with a European feel and a great selection of beers. I enjoyed it.

Stopped by on the way home to fill a growler since it was on the way. Every other place I’ve been to(several dozen and counting) has free samples that the 2 of us share. They wouldn’t give a single sample for free because they said it would cost them at least a quarter apiece and they would loose too much money doing that. So we told the counter person what we liked and they suggested a beer. It was one of the more expensive ones and when we opened the growler at home it was definitely not worth what we paid for it. May be a fine place for locals who know what they want and to gather after work. But for the person looking to taste and fill a growler I do not recommend this place at all when there are so any other places to choose from.

My buddy and I went in for a beer and a growler fill. Yeah, they have a pretty good beer selection BUT their prices are ridiculous. We asked for a little taster and that cost money. We each got a beer and then decide to get the fresh hop IPA. My bill came out to $ 46 for two beers, taster and a growler fill! The growler was $ 32 for a Fremont IPA! I bitched at the guy working there and he pointed at the price per ounce. Growler fills around town are $ 8 — $ 20. Not $ 32 for a local beer! WTF. Not going back.

Really awesome place! GREAT beer selection and rotating schedule for tapped beers. Really cool glass fireplace in the middle of one of the circular high top tables. Fun ambiance and very friendly. Plus great music! My new favorite :)

I was meeting family for dinner and needed a beer before hand. As it ends up they have a menu from this taco shack next door, add a chicken quesadilla and a beer. Bartender was friendly and I had a good beer, but they need to get Heffeweisen beers!

Just walked into this place(been here a ton and have always had a good experience) to have a growler filled. Dude-bro behind the counter asked me «do you have a cap?» And proceeds to tell me he can’t fill it because I don’t have a cap ad even goes as far to state their growlers had caps. This place just lost all my beer business because 1. They don’t have lids for growlers(they act like people don’t loose stuff) and 2. Dude-bro couldn’t take a lid off one of their growlers to make a sale.

I have been to Über 10+ times over the past 2 years to watch football with my friends. There has always been very friendly service. The bartenders know a lot about beer. There is a huge variety of beer available. You can order a $ 2.50 Rainier up to a very expensive beer. Matt Gomez bartends there know sometimes and he is great. Andrew bartended there in 2013 and he was a cool dude.

I love beer therefore, I love Über Tavern! This place was in a little bit of a weird location on Aurora, but still a great place to grab a beer! So many beer selections — local and out of state. The bartender is very knowledgable although not too chatty. Overall, great ambiance(there is a fire pit inside), and great beer! I hope to be back here soon. They have growlers and kegs too, so that is another plus! Visit this place if you are in the area.

Solid beer selection, not the largest. Although, great atmosphere. I like the neighborhood feel. Really good place to chill and relax. Staff is awesome and super helpful with suggestions as well. I love the décor, pool ball taps are a nice touch. The bottle selection is better than tap, in my opinion!

I was visiting a week ago and met up with Tom B. after asking him to suggest a place he would take someone visiting from out of town. This is the place people who KNOW beer go, this is the place you go to discuss tasting notes. This is a great craft place. Not pretentious, just knowledgeable, and happily willing to teach people about their beers. This place is great, and I have it bookmarked to come back to.

OK, the duchebag that was at the green lake location was awful. NO clue of the word customer service. I would have had a number of neighbors come down for years to come, but the bald headed guy who worked tonight was the WORSt. When he is gone I will bring a number of people back from the neighborhood that will give you business

This is a great, quaint little bar with a nice beer selection. The parking is a bit rough since it’s street parking only. But I’d say it’s worth it for the beer selection alone. The staff was attentive and knowledgable. If I lived in the area this would be a regular hangout, it’s my kind of place, for now I’ll just have to visit when I’m in the area.

This is a cute laid back little beer tavern with lots of selection and very kind and helpful service. I let them know I wasn’t a huge beer drinker and that I was in the mood for a lighter beer that day and he immediately brought me over to what they had on tap and let me sample about four different kinda to pick which I liked most. Also live that you can get it in a pint glass and a smaller glass(for weakling a like me). I would definitely come back to try more of the beers! Seems like they have a big selection even though they seem more like a neighborhood local spot — perfect combo!

This place has a large variety of beers, but that is it. If you have a person in your party that would like wine, this place falsely advertises that. The beer selection however is amazing. It’s quite small and near impossible to find a seat and it doesn’t have the feel of a tavern, which was disappointing. The staff is fantastic though.

Here are things that I love about Über Tavern: 1) Amazing beer selection and 3 oz. pours. YES. This is the optimal beer size for tiny beer elitists such as myself. 2) The friendly and knowledgable bartenders who always have recommendations for beer lovers and beer haters alike. Definitely a rare quality. 3) Great, laid-back atmosphere where you don’t have to a) stand awkwardly in front of a crowded bar until it’s time to b) yell to order a drink. 4) The owner kicks off the start of the annual Über March Madness pool with his one and only bar shift and, at least for 2014, free bacon. BACON!

I don’t even like beer and I’m giving Über 5 stars… Well, like I said, I don’t like beer, so this 5 star rating isn’t because of taste(I’ve only tried one item which confirmed my prior statement). BUT, this place has a really chill, low-key vibe going on. It’s small and all they do are drinks, so you’re able to bring your own food in if you like. There’s a couple of flat screens playing the game, a handful of tables and plenty of space at the counter. You can get a 4oz drink for $ 1 – 3, so this is a good place to try out if you want to sample a variety of beers. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable as well!

And review #500 goes to Über Tavern with amazing brews, knowledgeable beer lovers behind the bar and street side seating. This is your neighborhood go-to that you drive across town for. Want more? How about FREE WiFi? You can surf your new iPhone5 and partake in a deep, rich, Belgian Ale. One of ours, CarolineF, wanted to try something new, our barkeep hooked her up based on a list of «likes» and she downed a Czech Lager like it was water. Smiles all around. I will not waste time listing the ever changing beers. Über will have many chooses for you. Unless you drink Coors Light. In that case, go elsewhere. No food but pizza delivery specials from DaVINCI’s so load up on carbs and sip on the beer, or beers of your liking. There’s nothing to dislike about Über Tavern.

Hard to believe it’s been more than half a decade since this place opened. They’ve used their time wisely, without a doubt. When they began, they were a wonderfully weird little enclave of beeriness along this tawdry strip of Aurora. After years of perfecting their craft, cultivating a clientele both locally and far beyond the city limits, investing their profits carefully, and stockpiling an OCD-esque retinue of fermented delights to serve not before their time, Über is now… a wonderfully weird little enclave of beeriness along this tawdry strip of Aurora. They’ve added to it, certainly, though the footprint inside is still the same. They added the little sidewalk courtyard a couple years ago, and added the planter boxes around the same time. After some unsolicited overnight editorializing from the local Crackhead Gardeners Club, the ambitions of those planter boxes have been scaled back rather markedly, but the pleasant al fresco seating option remains – covered and railed in. Inside, what used to feel like a kooky house party with a fire table in the middle and big bottle coolers behind the bar now feels like a stylishly kooky house party with a fire table in the middle and big bottle coolers behind the bar. The refined blue on the walls now suggests a tony library at a gentleman’s club, so be a gentleman, for heaven’s sake. The multi-ton zebrawood beast of a bar suggests locales even more exotic than Aurora(«Where is that wood grown?» «Africa.» «Noooo…*zebras* are from Africa. Where is zebra*wood* from?» «Under the ze…» Never mind.). The walnut ceiling-support beam suggests… that spending a butt-ton of extra money on fine hardwoods is worth it sometimes. Gone are the colossal tap towers that used to protect the bartenders from: archers, trebuchets, and being able to see customers. Well, the Delirium Tremens tower is still there, over the inlaid Scrabble board, but every bar needs a pink elephant on the corner. In addition to Scrabble, you can also play Backgammon under a heavy layer of resin, if you get the right seats. But what matters most here is the beer. And this beer selection is truly a matter of great import. Hundreds of bottles line the cooler racks, with a fair emphasis on rare and small batch big American beers and a freighter full of bigger(i.e., more alcoholic) European stuff, both classics and newer releases. There are also tap handles, now bundled together in a phalanx of malty infantry on the back wall, which boasts a luminous interweave of glass subway tiles. Such design flair!(«Yeah, I have the gay gene when it comes to decorating.» You just can’t make this stuff up. You can only catch people when they’re loaded and write it down for blackmailing them later.) What’s particularly cool about the tap lineup is the new War-Games-like array of monitors above the coolers, listing all kegs in the order they were tapped, along with the next three on deck. No more scrambling for a little green book, and wondering if you should hurry up and order a given beer in case it might kick before you get to it. The staff here has been wise and powerful since day one. This shows no signs of abating. I often hate coming in here when it’s busy simply because it means less chance to shoot the breeze with them. Or throw a Frisbee. What no one bar can change, though, is the local color on display outside, along Aurora Avenue North. More than once as I have sipped a tasty beverage here, young ladies have walked back and forth and back and forth past the windows of the establishment. I figured they must have been running errands, or moving, or something, but they were never carrying anything, so it’s hard to be certain. That motorized pageant of humanity, the Metro #358, stops right outside the sidewalk patio here. When a 60-foot limo rolls up, it can easily block every window in the place, making you feel like you’re in a dark little cave(well, you are, not even figuratively speaking). When that 358 shadow settles over the room, what you are is an easily-distracted baby seal that just noticed the great white swimming over you and blocking out all your light. Those squealy bus brakes are the hoots of an owl in the dreams of a mouse. Über is one of the oases in a stretch of road that Seattle forgot.(Not on accident did Seattle forget this scrofulous motorway, either.) There’s a bit of character lately to some businesses around here, and there’s even a high-end spot across the street(PCC). You can bring in your own food from anywhere, though PCC and Beth’s are natural choices, and Aloha Ramen is a personal favorite. There’s a book behind the bar somewhere, full of take-out menus. Just ask for it. Every industry needs places that push to offer the best of everything. Über has very few equals, and no superiors, especially when you count the square footage. You can get lost here. Probably you should. The 358 can always take you… elsewhe

Parking around here sucks but if you’re lucky and make it here, it’s a great place to hang out for awhile. The beer selection is amazing and there’s some tables with board games built into them. Just ask the bartender to lend you a chess, checkers or scrabble set! I wish they served food or at least some some snacks like pretzels. I get so munchy! They are however, paired up with a local Mexican restaurant that will deliver over some tacos, burritos, etc.
