Underground Detection Services

I hired Underground Detection Services to find a water leak in my yard. They charge a flat $ 340 fee for the first 2 hours and say they will save you money by identifying the source of the leak so you don’t have to dig for it. After about 15 – 20 minutes, they found the leak and marked it. The plumber then dug and dug and dug and didn’t find the pipe. UDS was unwilling to come back without threatening to charge me an additional fee. The plumber finally found the pipe fully outside of the area they marked. I sent pictures showing this and they have been unwilling to refund any portion of my wasted money. The plumber’s company, who originally recommended them, says they have had a series of complaints and will no longer use UDS.
