UYE : Y.O.E. Event #4: Get Your Kobayashi On!

Little behind in reviews here… and i’m sure it’s been covered ad naseum by all the other reviews, but here goes anyway…
A GREAT event, the weather cooperated enough… from the early arrival to set up with Don and my teenage overlord crew in tow until leaving after a fire at sunset, it was a great day of rotating attendees, hard core party people, people watching, games and fun.
Another round of new faces coming out to the events made it just awesome. As much as I love my ‘old’ Unilocalers, fresh meat is always a good time. :)
yeah…that’s all I got. Give me time to re-​adjust to being online. ;)

Beach + BBQ + Awesome people = a perfect Sunday afternoon.
I had such a great time hanging out with everyone. There was more food and booze than we needed, but it was great! Lola says «Woof» which really means she loved it too!
Oh and yay for meeting new Unilocalers!

I’m pretty sure I consumed 234 902 348 pounds of chips… yummmy…
So I show up right as Eugene & Alice are leaving, I’ve missed Katie and Ali completely and I wasn’t in time for the eating contest. Sad. However, what’s not sad is that it was still an awesome time. Don and Riss’ mad skills at planning made this a fun event that was full of good people and good food, oh, and good weather and a good location.
Thanks to Don «The Temporary-​Vegetarian» L. who did such a good job of grilling meat, Betsey who brought amazing jello shots, Timothy who brought delicious chili and Amanda and all her beer. It was good seeing everyone (although sad I missed so many!) and I can’t wait for the next time!

You guys are the best — what a great day at the beach. Thanks so much to Don & Riss. Growlers are my new favorite. Yum!

Food was great, company even better and needless to say, we had fabulous time. It’s people like you and days like this one that remind me of why I love Seattle.

Like a total idiot, Alli D. shows up to a eating contest with a full stomach. That’s OK, I had to give everyone else a chance to compete. You know how those real eating champions are tiny and you’d never think they could fit that amount of food in their body? Well, it’s the same with me. I wouldn’t want to show off.
I did sample some chips and salad, until the wind decided to flip my plate over. Some real tears were shed over the loss of Cheetos.
Don L. was definitely the star of the day, due to his event-​planning prowess, BBQ skills and his ability to eat hard-​boiled eggs. That’s 8 in 2 minutes, people. You do the math!
Great seeing everybody, and a huge thanks to Don and Riss for putting so much work into the event!

Dudes, it’s the beach, it’s beer, it’s good food, and it’s friends. How can you get a better day? Well, okay, it could’ve been a bit warmer and less windy, but other than the weather, how could you get a better day? You couldn’t!
Thanks So much to Don for organizing, Riss for being a champ and helping out, and to the new faces, and the old ones. I had a great time. Days like yesterday make the world go ’round.
Watch out for Carrot Top’s bastard child in the play area though, y’all.

Anyone who can take in 8 hardboiled eggs in 2 minutes is A-​OK in my book! In fact, anyone who can eat 4 eggs in 2 minutes is A-​OK too.
