Vif is a café that is very well underrated in the Seattle Area. It’s a great place to drink coffee and the café itself is super cozy. This coffee shop is super modern(NOTE:THETERRARIUMSAREAMAZING). Anyways, if you are looking for something new and simple, this is a place you have to visit. My first experience at Vif was very enjoyable. I was expecting it to be packed on a Sunday morning(which it was), but I found a table. The staff are super awesome and helpful because it’s hard to decided what you want with a grand selection of food. In the end, I ordered Green Lentils, a Latte and a macchiato. The Green Lentils tasted wonderful! It’s not considered a snack, maybe more of a brunch. The lentils tasted like mung beans, but super soft and with every bite, you can taste the bit of broth. The dish is also topped with an egg, picked fennel(I think of it like a white carrot), and garlic toast. If it’s you’re first time here, I would totally give it a try because it’s worth it. However, I wasn’t full at all after eating it but after all. it’s lentils what can I say! Also, I love the coffee here. Especially the latte because it was made perfectly. There was a nice balance of milk foam(super light) and warm coffee, I swear it’s bomb. The macchiato was nice too, it was presented on a flat wooden board so it was very fancy. I would come here anytime, any day because I still have to explore that menu and the vibes here are just so chill.

Vif is one of the best«hidden secrets» in town. Great food and coffee, nice wine selection and airy nice space. The staff are the best as well. Friendly and with«over and above» service. Highly recommended!

Honestly, I was very underwhelmed. I checked out Vif on a visit to Seattle after reading many positive reviews. First of all, it was in a very random location. It isn’t next to any businesses, which was kind of off-putting given that I am from out of town. I ordered a frittata salad, which was the special that day. It sounded interested. The frittata chunks were good, but the rest of the sour was almost inedible given how sour the lettuce was. The coffee was also barely drinkable. Skip it.

Really just a coffee bar. Wine selection is limited. Buying a bottle to drink involves a corkage fee of $ 10, and again, limited selection & very little food. Go for the coffee.

The staff is very knowledgeable about their carefully selected wine inventory. The space is open, clean, and modern. They have a parking lot as well. I will definitely be back to try their coffee and pastries. Friendly staff and general good vibes. There is a $ 10 cork fee if you choose to drink the bottle you purchased at the café.

Vif, thank you for hosting a pizza party and bringing Hogstone to Seattle! I’m in love with their pizza and I can only have it when I actually trek up to Orcas Island(where Hogstone is located). My first time at Vif was during their Hogstone pizza party. They served up a really tasty heirloom tomato salad, olives to snack on, a few choices of pizzas, and the best piece of blackberry peach pie cobbler you ever had. I was in heaven with pizzas and desserts. The café itself was interesting. They serve wine, coffee, and some café bites on a regular day. I didn’t try any of their regular items, but I’m damn excited to come to another party if they decide to host another one. Would I come here on a regular day? Maybe… if I had time to sit around all day and have a photoshoot in this cutesy little café while sipping coffee, getting some studying done, and then earning myself a glass of wine for being productive. Instagram coffee shop paradise.

This is my favorite café/wine spot in Seattle. Would it be bad if I held back my praise for the selfish reason of wanting it not to get too popular?! The food is delicious and expertly presented. But it’s really the open bright serene nature of the restaurant that makes it stand out from the rest. Well done Vif!

Every time I have a day off while in Seattle, I travel to Vif. It’s simply the best coffee in Washington, outside of Spokane, that I’ve had. It’s the only coffee that comes close to what you can get at some of the places over in Spokane. That’s right, I said it. Sorry Seattle, but most of your coffee is boring That said, Vif takes the cake. I love this place. And this morning I tried their food for the first time, a breakfast sandwich. I about died, it was so good. So much flavor. Nice wine selection as well. It’s a must visit if you’re in Fremont.

I fell in love with Vif the moment I laid eyes upon the cutesy glass building. It’s a beautiful space — with minimal decorations, plants and flowers everywhere, and people working at their computers or sipping quietly from porcelain cups. In addition to the latte I got, my friend and I also split their fried egg toast with arugula, tomatoes and crème fraîche. I’ll admit, it did take longer than I expected for the toast to come out, but I wasn’t really in a hurry since I was drinking coffee. The toast redeemed itself anyway — the egg was perfectly executed, the arugula was lightly seasoned with a citrusy salt and everything together made it a nice and light mid-morning bite.

Cute little glass heaven for coffee! Their coffee is so smooth! I got an iced latte and it is delicious! They have a massive wine selection too and are VERY knowledgable on wines! All of their wines are high quality and I wish I could buy them all! The inside is decorated well, modern and clutter free! Their pastries look very tasty and fresh baked! Super friendly service and hassle free looking around!

I really like this place — good food, good coffee, friendly staff. However, their wifi cannot be relied on — it drops out and crashes almost every time I am there, so if I need to get something done I often find myself going elsewhere or getting rather annoyed if I do go. This is the only place where I have had this problem and it has occurred on multiple computers, so fairly confident it is not my computer. Not to mention they have recognized it as a problem and say it is comcast. However, it is now been more than a year, and there many internet service providers to choose from so really not sure why they have chosen to accept this poor service from comcast. If it wasn’t for this, I would give 4 or 5 stars, but as it is I can only muster 2. I am writing this in the hope that they proactively resolve this to improve the experience for their customers.

The owner took it upon herself to drop everything she was doing in the kitchen so that she could come outside to the patio area where i was seated and scold me publicly for bringing my own sandwich and eating it. She failed to notice the $ 4.00 iced coffee i had just purchased from her over priced, glorified coffee shop. I do not recall seeing any signage that said«no outside food or drink.» otherwise I would have kept my sandwich in the bag. Perhaps they should employ a guard to be on duty at all times to prevent this situation from happening again. God forbid somebody only pay for an iced coffee and then have the audacity to eat their own sandwich that they brought from home. FORSHAME! I would recommend Vif to anyone who wants to pay $ 20 for the privilege of enjoying a coffee, eating a piece of toast with sardines on it and thumbing through a mangled section of the New York Times. Cheers!

Oh my days. Walking into the pleasantly lit Vif with it’s sweet playlist and welcoming smiles was a little surreal. Greeted with a «good morning» from chef and server alike as well as the aroma from the freshly bled goods wafting up my noseholes immediately had me mentally bookmarking this little gem in an otherwise often frozen city. For anyone who misses an Australian coffee shop like I do, Vif is your new local. The attention to detail is a nice relief from the traditional huge portioned breakfasts I’ve had. A humble and thoughtfully put together menu paired with carefully made coffee(or wine, if you please) will have your belly smiling all day. So excited to visit again. (It might be this afternoon — they sometimes have a special wine tasting on Saturdays!)

I don’t go to Fremont often, but I saw this café posted a lot on Instagram so I decided to make a trip out there. I love how the café makes their own almond milk! That along deserves five stars :) We only got an almond latte and prosciutto toast today. I’d love to go back and try some of their other food options(the avocado toast looks amazing) as well as the selection of wine. Great study spot on Sunday morning!

Lovely, light-filled space to grab lunch or cup of coffee and a pastry. Haven’t come for wine tastings, but it’s clearly set up for that as well. Tried the tuna tartine, which I could tell was made with good ingredients and care(although a touch salty for my taste). Also ordered their homemade shrub, which was pomegranate & pear that day. What a lovely, refreshing drink! It’s a small lunch menu, but full of tasty sounding items. I was eyeing a few other things in the bakery case(homemade english muffins…) and they also sell Harbor Herbalist teas, which I love. I’m not in the neighborhood too often, but definitely try to stop by whenever I am nearby!

A lovely place filled with lovely people. Their pour-over coffees are one of those rare occasions where you can have a coffee that has been brewed like someone actually cares about it. It’s not starbucks burnination or espresso precision blasted, it’s more like a coffee bean tea. They are clearly clever as well to offer a notable wine selection curated interestingly. Just the place to run out for a bottle down the block, I would imagine. They have light meals and pastries as well that are curated in the same careful mastery as the beverages.

This is absolutely my new favorite place of 2015. The homemade almond milk alone is worth the trip. And there’s a parking lot? Take your time to savor some really unique flavors in the food… they don’t have a microwave, so if you are eating at the café it will take 5 – 10 minutes to get your food and it will be creative and well-made. Don’t expect a cheap café experience… this is expensive and worth it… a wonderful place to have a job interview or to bring out of town guests… Nice people watching on Fremont, too. Oh– and if you like wine they have QUITE the wine selection!
