There is nothing so bad as being asked to leave a lesbian bar when one is an actual lesbian by a man who is an actual man, demanding that this 55 year old woman with white hair that is obviously over 21 leave immediately because she did t bring her ID. Really appreciated the rude and demeaning attitude. «Nice» to see all the straight white men hanging out too. Not a good space.

This place charges a minimal cover on the weekends and the drinks were sub par. I couldn’t taste any booze in my gin and tonic. One drink and we left…

Judgey Mc Judgerson. Always feel stared at, get sub par service, if there was any other lesbian bar in Seattle I would go there instead. Not my favorite place by far. Fun dance nights but otherwise a generally clichey crowd. I hate to not recommend this place, but I feel like I have no choice.

I was pretty excited as this was my first visit to a lesbian friendly bar. I found more guy’s and couples here rather than women. No complaints about their bar selections or service. Food is not that great. They need to step up.

I always enjoy coming here whether its for an event or just for fun with friends. This particular visit was for my birthday. We got here early enough that it was’t super crowded which was nice. I was a little disappointed with the DJ as the music was all over the place which made our experience a little less enjoyable than usual. Drinks were a bit weak, but the price is right and I love being able to go to a primarily lesbian bar.

The music set last night was ok. But I wanted great. Stale is what my friend said. The throwback night on the radio and the pregame had more energy than the main event. That said, three dollars for a bar full of lovelies dancing and having fun, totally worth it.

I really want to like this place. It’s Cap Hill’s primary«lesbian» bar, so I don’t want to trash it, since it’s not like we have many other options. But I seem to never have a great time unless I’m with a large group, or unless we’re already too drunk to mind the low-key ambiance and somewhat questionable DJ skills, or the mysteriously empty dance floor. Why charge cover for a place that’s almost never really full, except at peak hours on Saturdays? I’m perplexed on why we paid anything, even $ 3, to get into a place with plenty of room and literally 5 people on the dance floor. My question mark here, I think, is that I never know why I’d recommend this place. I suppose it’s a place where you can go to encounter a few less desperate dudes hunting ladies, which is a strong upside(since literally every club out here has that problem). But the crowd is generally not super interesting, so even when I want to mingle I don’t find many people to talk to. Just a few friends groups hanging out, or couples that don’t want much to do with anybody else. Music plays a lot of familiar songs, but it’s a warm dance floor and the mixing usually isn’t great, so it can be awkward to try and get a good dancing rhythm going unless you’re committed to it. It just feels like there’s not really anything to hook me into going here, to make me tell someone they’ve GOT to hit this place up. It’s almost overwhelmingly… alright. I arrive, I stay for a bit, I forget what we did because nothing remarkable happened, and then we bounce to a more active bar. It’s a very solid choice if you want a more laid-back scene, though. Friday night at midnight, and it was still the most chill bar we went to.

Decent priced drinks. Love the HIPHOP music my fav dj Lady Jane plays! Taco Tuesdays are my favorite whether or not the place is poppin because the tacos are so damn good. It is what you make it at times. I usually like to just strike up a conversation with people whom are very interesting. I do wish they would change the wall pictures they have up tho and also offer a coat check. I have been coming here for several years and seen it changed over the years. Once it had a pool table and then an air hockey table. Now the dance floor roof were raised. The bathrooms are super super small but at least there are three stalls and an extra single bathroom. Overall, I feel that there’s not a lot of lesbian places around and that it is awesome that this place is here. :) Seattle is definitely growing city and the«hill’ changes with it. I hope this place will stay open for years to come.

I always have the best times here. Drinks is not that good but the service was fast. They have people lined up to order drinks which is pretty convenient. The music is on point. They have a little dance floor that is not so packed but a lot of fun. 3 dollars cover fee on weekends which is cheap for a place with good music and a dance floor on weekends.

Usually cheap and strong drinks compared to other places on the hill. They also play great music. It’s kind of annoying that they charge a $ 3 cover on weekends since it’s a bar.

Not what I expected at all. I’m from Texas and our lez bars are pretty lame so I envisioned a bar full of biker dykes which isn’t my cup of tea, but I was curious enough to check it out with mi lady. You will definitely see some characters here — a biker dyke or two, a couple of wannabe Rico Suave studs that think they own the dance floor, an old straight woman’s third bachelorette party and a creepy old guy trying to get in where he fits in. It was an interesting night to say the least. Mixed crowd, cheap beer, friendly people, DJ Lady Jane playing some oldies but goodies and a decently good time if you’re into people watching and dancing. If you’re going for the women lower your standards by like 4 notches(on a scale of 1 – 4) and you shouldn’t be disappointed… but then again maybe you will. 5 stars because the DJ was solid and I had a fucking blast people watching and laughing with my girl. We will be back for those two reasons only.

My girl friend and I are visiting Seattle and weren’t sure how the city would treat us. We found Wildrose and instantly felt like we were at home. Decent drinks, and good music, it’s just what we were looking for. We will alway support this place.

Pretty trashy but I mean I’m used to West Hollywood in sunny California. I always swing by this place when I’m in Seattle. I always end up having a good time. Don’t care much for the rude bartenders, I mean I’m not there for them I’m there to have a good old time. Bathrooms are disgusting but who cares when you’re drunk right? Oh and surprisingly it’s the ONLY«lesbian» spot in Seattle

I’ve been coming to this place for years, even met my lovely ex-wife there. Over the years it has just gone downhill… There really aren’t that many lesbians that go there, but rather a lot of old men it seems trying to catch a peek of some girl on girl action. Don’t get me wrong, girl on girl is super sexy, when in fact the girls are sexy; but here in Seattle, that is very hard to find. The bathrooms are like little shoe boxes, make sure that all of your belongings are secured or left with a friend outside for when you hover over the seat while strategically not urinating on yourself. Yes, the drinks are cheap and the bartenders are not always friendly, but for just a little more there are definitely other places to visit that have a little more class. I only ever go there to be reminded of how much I love other places better!

My girlfriend and I were visiting on vacation. It was cold outside so being from San Diego, we were all bundled up. The security guard was very nice and respectful. That’s the first thing I look for when going into a bar on an unfamiliar place. I like the assurance being away from home since people target tourists. Let’s get this straight… I’m not a dumb tourist. The place was dark and small — a little hole in the wall place. Great. There were tables for people to sit, but maybe too many tables. It cut off access to the dance floor. It also made it hard for anyone looking to get a drink and get to the back area where some tables are located. That can be easily fixed with the right advice. My reason for two stars… I got a drink. I asked for sprite, blood orange Skyy vodka, and grenadine. Normally made the right way, this drink is delicious and sweet and should kinda sneak up on you. I know how to pour a drink. I bar tend. But the blood woman pouring my drink just seemed new to the game and VERYRUDE! She was rude since I walked through the door. Yeah we didn’t look like anyone else there hut come on woman… be welcoming. She put the drink in a small glass and made it like I ordered a double. Now on the way in we saw a girl just throwing up everything she had eaten in her life. This is not how you make a drink and might be the reason she was sick. But it was all Skyy vodka, a splash of sprite, and grenadine that just sunk to the bottom. You have a shaker for a reason — use it. And I in no way asked for a double tall in a small glass. I thought me mixing it would make up for the incompetence. I was wrong! Watch what happens next… I go back up and she wants to argue with the customer. She had the audacity to say that’s how i asked for it. Uh no. Has no one told you your drinks are crap and brought it back? Take some positive criticism and make what the customer wants. I then ask for a Jameson and coke with equal parts after being told she was going to make my ginger ale with some mix of soda water and bitters and something else. Oh no honey! She then said, it’s a $ 1.50 difference. I paid and got my drink. Here is my advice to this establishment… it’s cold — get a coat check or a coat rack. Second, more space on the dance floor and move the tables in the back somewhere more convenient. Thirdly, educate your bartenders. A few dollars on classes and sampling your drinks with a test straw go a LONG way. I would not recommend anyone go there until those changes are made. The crowd looked barely over 21 but when they grow up and experience the good stuff, this place won’t make it. Most of all… LISTEN to your customers. Don’t just hear them over loud music. If you don’t know, ask questions. This is a legit review. Not just some out-of-towner sticking her nose in something she doesn’t understand. Please excuse the spelling errors at the moment. I will be sure to make the changes when I am on my computer. Just wanted to get this out there.

It was my first time there. I loved the music there, because I love hip hop and they had decent amount of hip hop songs playing. The people at the door were very nice and friendly. My other friend didn’t have that great of an experience with the bartender, she said the woman was being pretty rude. I wish they switched up the music a little more often instead of playing one song till the end. But other than that nothing to complain about, I enjoyed dancing with with friends, we had a lot of fun. $ 3 Cover cash only. They have an ATM inside.

My girl and I were on a short vacation to Seattle from Portland. We were staying pretty close in to downtown and easily got around without having to drive so that was great. We asked around for where there was a «girl» bar. We were told Wildrose on Capitol Hill was the place to go. We hailed a cab from our hotel around 5pm and ventured out to Capitol Hill. We found our way to the Wildrose. It was dark, dank and nearly perfect. There were maybe 6 others in the bar and as soon as we breezed through the Door we were greeted by the cute bartender. After checking our I. d’s I ordered a brew on tap, IPA and my girl ordered a mixed drink called Raspberry Crush. We slid onto a couple of bar stools and made small talk with the bartender. As we sat there drinking a few cold ones we saw the bar start to fill up. It was a Saturday night and you could tell things would be hoppin’ here later. It was time to move on with a good buzz to navigate us through the city. The Wildrose seems to be everything someone could want in a lesbian dive bar. Check it out.

Wildrose doesn’t seem to like straight people. At least that is the experience we had. Only one of the staffers was nice to us. The rest seemed to barely tolerate us. They turned the music off on us and wouldn’t play anything else. It was awkward. If you’re a lesbian I guess you’d like it. But you might also like Neighbours, Q, Baltic Room, Purr, Cuff, Eagle, Changes, etc.

Oh… my first lesbian bar! This was an interesting experience. My friend and I went here so I can wing her, which I miserably failed at. Anyways… When we got in. we had to pay a cover, which was around $ 5. not too bad compared to other places with $ 10+ covers. This bar is pretty divey, not very fancy but rather pretty simple with a few decorations and Christmas lights. There was the bar and in the back was a dancing area where the DJ was playing good ol 90’s R&B like Ginuwine’s «Pony.» I swear every time that song comes on, someone is up to something no good. A lot of thirsty visitors! Thirsty and thirsty lol. A little rowdy, but it didn’t bother me, everyone was having a good time. My friend wanted the sweetest drink they served, so they recommended a upside down pineapple cake drink. I had a taste and it was super sweet! Ugh. I stuck with a Blue Moon and got to try my friend’s Manhattan drink which was pretty good and reasonably priced. We got to meet a few people there as well, like I mentioned before Seattle locals are very friendly. The clientele are mostly lesbians, maybe 95%. I believe this is the only dedicated lesbian bar in Capitol Hill, among a variety of gay bars. Overall, I had a good experience here. Not my favorite bar I visited in Capitol Hill, but they had good music and fun people.

Hooray for bartenders that also are amazing and astute enough to step in and serve as bouncer when weirdo drunk middle aged men approach your booth. I wish I had come here on a different night– Sunday crowd was very mild and not nearly crowded enough for my tastes. I can’t wait to see this place on a busy /event night. Strong drinks and great service. I’ll be back!
