Windows Are Us

Everything that could go wrong went wrong!
Ricky first of all has great people skills. I thought he was a nice guy and I wanted to give him a shot. Except when it came to having patience with me choosing my windows. Isn’t that what they specialize in? I could easily set that a side, because sometimes it does take me a while to choose what I want. I really tired to give him the benefit of the doubt. So, I finally decided what windows I wanted, and he ordered them. After installing them, he ordered the wrong window. This was never fixed. We went round and round about the size and he ordered the shorter one. I have it in an email, his attention to detail isn’t that great.
Ok, small mistake right? But it didn’t end there. He brings in young guys to install the windows and cuts everything short as they build the window frames. He rigs it. His job looked incredibly sloppy. The walls aren’t load bearing, it will be hidden, so it should be fine. I’ll let it go. He continues to make mistake after mistake. He cuts one of my gutters, he uses longer nails than he should have, he forgets to insulate a window, he caulks around the window leaving huge lumps and a mess. But, now a 2 day job turns into a week, and I’m not sure when the job will be done. He shows up late and then leaves early. He ends up cutting boards short, and borrowing our boards, tools, paper towels, etc. At the end he was suppose to clean up, and he left his trash in my concrete dumpster. I txt him, and he starts to argue with me. Apparently his co-​worker left it in the dumpster. He tells me that he’ll send a gift card to make up for the mistakes, and never does. Every little thing that could go wrong went wrong.
Basically, his attention to detail is poor, his excuse after his excuse was hard to communicate with him, he wasn’t reliable, he could talk the talk, but when it came to doing that work, he just couldn’t do it. I would spend the money and use another company that is more reliable.

Ricky is probably the most dishonest and full of excuses person I’ve ever dealt with in any business. He never showed up to do the work after setting up several appointments. Even though I spoke with him on the phone, left a voice messages and send him a text messages. Yet, as after waiting for him on the job site for a while when I called him to see how much longer do I need to wait for him to show up. His answer, he won’t be coming since the appointment was not confirmed. First time his excused was that he is overbooked. And I get his message shortly before he is due for work.
All I’ve to say that is a weak and dishonest individual with no respect of other people’s time.

Ricky and his crew did an amazing job at my house when they replaced some Insulated Glass Units and installed new vinyl windows. He and his crew were clean, detail oriented, polite and fairly priced. After the windows were installed we noticed a small crack in one of the pieces of glass, Ricky had the window replaced within 5 working days and all work and materials were under warranty so no cost was charged. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I am a Realtor and value good contractors. Ricky was very professional, polite, knowledgeable, and did a great job. His rates were very fair, and he got the job done quickly. I will definitely keep his number and use him in the future.

Ricky showed up within a few hours of our call, gave us a very low rate, and had our window replaced the next day. He was friendly, efficient, and knew his stuff.

Him and his colleague (whose name I did not catch) were courteous, professional and fast. I hope I don’t break another window, but if I do, I know who I will call. Great service and highly recommended. Excellent price, too.

Ricky offered great service at an affordable price. We replaced two casement windows and the hardware for a third one. He walked us through our options, did the work efficiently, and we’re pleased with the outcome.

I had a terrible experience with Windows Are Us.
I ordered Window screens for my house which were promised to be delievered within 1.5 weeks. It took over 2 months for the screens to be delivered. During that time the person I was working with kept promising the screens «in a few days» and then would go silent after they were supposed to be delievered. This was an extremely frusturating experience and took a large amount of time for some simple window screens.
The screens are mediocre quality at best. Several are twisted with loose netting in areas.
