I have been a member of this club since 2000. I absolutely love it. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The food is outstanding and all the members are very friendly. The club has wonderful educational programs and the members are very diverse in interests and backgrounds. The club is truly an oasis and a home away from home. Another benefit from belonging to this club are the variety of different events available. Many events are family friendly and there are also special events for men as well. Please come visit our beautiful club. It is wonderful venue for parties and events. It truly is a Seattle treasure!

This review is for being a member of the club, not the event services. I joined WUC in March 2015, and my experience has been wonderful. I work from home, and joined so I would have a place to go to get out of my house. The club’s members have been universally welcoming to me as a new member, and everyone I’ve met has been really interesting. I look forward to being part of this community for many years to come!

Have had our fund raising auction here twice now and it is just a splendid venue. Dinner and auction in the dining hall and live show and dance in the theater. Up front cost is so much less than holding the event at one of the big corporate hotel/conference centers, and the atmosphere is far superior to your standard hotel meeting room/ball room sterile and cold space. Gorgeous historic building, attentive and professional staff, food is superb, drinks are poured generously.

My grandmother has been a member here since 1984, and they have hosted a number of our family get-togethers. Not the least of these is their Easter Brunch, which is always great. As you walk up the steps to open the extra tall double doors, an elegant foyer welcomes you that feels a bit like home, except this home is fancy! They always make an effort to decorate for the season, whether it be Christmas, fall, or St. Patrick’s Day. Being in Seattle, you probably came in to this place wearing a jacket of some sort… so before you sit down with your party in the pre-dining lounge, hang it up in the coat room and go warm up by the fire. The lounge area also hosts a jaw-dropping mass of collector’s edition classic literature that members can check out. While you’re getting cozy, a member of their professional staff(many of whom have worked there 5+ years) brings you a glass of water and asks if you would like something a little stronger. Once your table is ready in the dining room, you can mozy over to your reserved place and stuff your face with what is guaranteed to be a great meal. On your way out, don’t forget to sign the guest log and take a look at the art throughout the building. As I said, my grandma has been a member here for years and she says they do a great job of hosting events like book clubs, lectures, «power lunches» and round table discussions with notable professional women from the area. tl:dr If you are invited by someone who is a member, GO! Walk in and feel like you’re worth a million bucks, walk out full and happy. Great place to bring a family and start a tradition(such as Easter brunch).

Was here for a professional education meeting. The large ballroom/meeting room was well appointed. The wait staff was professional. The food was certainly good enough. Valet parking was a nightmare – long waiting line when arrived and again when left meeting. But then, I should have planned ahead better and taken a bus downtown.
