Kiddie Academy of Secaucus

My child was enrolled for 7 months in the toddler/​preschool classroom while we waited for the daycare near our home to open.
For lack of better words, this is a «kid factory» with very little care for the children. The principle, Andrea, is abrasive and has poor communication. She moved my child to a new classroom without notification. The teachers are more like babysitters. They are not well trained and not caring toward the children. Similar to another review on here, the principle is quick to blame parents for any issues.
Yes, this daycare is on the cheaper side for the area. But you will get what you pay for. I was uncomfortable with this daycare from the beginning. I should have gone with my gut. My child is now at another daycare and could not be happier.
I strongly do not recommend you send your child to this daycare.

I have had my 2 children here since Oct. We selected this location as its right near the Secaucus train station and we commute into the city. Their hours are convenient as we both work full time. I love the family style eating as my toddler daughter eats better here than when we had a nanny! I guess its the influence of watching her friends but as a bonus I find that she eats better at home too (mostly haha). Every day she comes home with art work and is singing songs that she learned in the car. She loves going to «school». My son is an infant and will start learning sign language soon which I’m excited about as it helped with my daughter. One feature I love is that they have cameras so I can watch my kiddies from work. I love popping in to see my daughter dancing or hearing a story or my son getting cuddles or in a bouncy chair. I really like their director Andrea. She comes across as a straight shooter and has handled any concern I had in a compassionate and professional manner. It was a tough transition to switch from a nanny to daycare but i thought my toddler needed a more social environment than a nanny would provide. I’ve also met the owners who came across as very caring and helpful. I love how Kiddie Academy approaches learning and think its a great fit for my kids. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun, caring, learning environment for your most precious ones!

HORROR! I do not recommend sending your child to this daycare. They are very fake and the owner and director are very rude. They try to blame you or your child for any issues and don’t take the blame themselves. They stereotype the children and think every child has a disorder or disability. Dont expect to get your money back if you pay and decide to take your child out. They are all about the money. Their teachers are very underpaid and mistreated as well. I have heard multiple stories of parents hearing the teachers getting screamed at, as well as children being mistreated and yelled at. The food is also very cheap and not fresh at all. I even heard stories from teachers that some of the food was expired, they tell you they have organic milk if you request it but that is also a lie it is all whole milk. Basically they are liars and not professional at all. There is alot more i can say but the list would go on forever. AVOID THIS DAYCARE!

New to Kiddie Academy and am watching in horror as my infant of 10 weeks has been completely ignored and picked up once in the past 4 hours. They had her swinging for 2 HOURS and then at least managed to change her, feed her a quick bottle then proceeded to put her BACK in the same swing. I see her screaming so they put her in another seat and have left her for the past 1.5 hrs with NO attention.

I am very happy with the schoool. The teachers and workers are very nice and helpful .My son is in the 3 – 4 years old classroom in the summer and he is learning a lot. Their lunch/​snack program is also very nice. I am really greatful that I send my son to the school. thank you.
