NEVER purchase a gift with cash from this place. We got 2 dresses as a Christmas gift from a grandparent and they lost the receipt. I tried to take the dresses in to exchange them for a bigger size. The store did not have them in stock anymore and said I would have to call Customer Service. I called them and they sent UPS out to pick them up. UPS picked them up on 1÷6÷15. I did not hear from them at all. I contacted them in the beginning of March and they said they would research it and send a store credit. STILL I have not heard anything. I called again today. I ask to speak to a supervisor or manager, it doesn’t happen and they hang up on me. I did not yell at them or cuss or anything. I told them I felt they were responsible for the items since I never received anything back. They said the items were returned to sender, but they don’t have an address to where they were sent. This is incredibly bad customer service.

The Children’s Place website is one the worst websites I have ever used. You cannot easily navigate to where you were, the filter NEVER works, and the website constantly keeps listings up for items that are out of stock. With that said, when I am able to place an order for something, the clothing is very good quality.

This place blows. We have a family friend who purchases baby gifts here frequently, and she ordered a wooden stacking toy for our son to be delivered via UPS for Christmas. The toy arrived with the base of the stacker splintered in half. We decided to send it back to The Children’s Place, thinking they would appreciate knowing that their packaging is damaging their toys to this degree.(We also didn’t want our 6-mo-old baby playing with a toy that could be used as a weapon to stab someone because the break was so jagged). I emailed them to request a replacement, and the woman with whom I emailed sent a packaging label for us to return the toy. We mailed the broken toy back and then received a letter back saying that the toy would not be replaced because their Quality Assurance team decided this was not a «manufacturers defect». I called the contact number yesterday and got the same belligerent response, despite my mentioning that our family friend would not be happy to learn that she spent full price on a shitty toy that arrived broken. I wrote to customer service one last time and received the same form letter stating that it was not a «manufacturers defect», despite the fact that it was obviously not packaged well. Or maybe even sent to us broken. Don’t bother with this unprofessional company. Even Toys-R-Us accepts returns on damaged items.
