Great green sauce chicken enchiladas, charo beans, extra tortillas, fabulous fideo, and Carta Blanca beer… Ample helpings of everything at a very reasonable price. Service was excellent even with the place packed. So, what else would one want to eat Saturday lunch in Sequin anywhere else?

Poor service, wait staff got order wrong, and disappeared for lengthy times spans. Ordered 2 picadio tacos(ground meat with potatoes) wife ordered 1 carne gisada taco … Took 47 mins to receive(these are staple food items that are cooked in the morning, kept warm and served from a ladle onto a tortilla and yet it took 47 mins to get to the table. I will never go back staff is slow, service is horrible and food is mediocre. Taco cabana has better mexican food than them.

Took the family who were in town from Oregon and wanted Mexican food. Everyone was happy especially me cause I have to be all picky but they did everything perfectly. Fajita salad w/o the shell, pico instead of sourcream, cheese and avocado on the side… all fresh and delicious. Family loved their enchiladas, mixed plate and soup.

The service was awesome. Our waitress Crystal was amazing as always. We go in so often she knows us. She is truly wonderful and makes us feel so welcome. The food was delicious. I always order a large tortilla soup with avocado on the side because my hubby likes to avocado and I don’t. The soup is so good. I love it. My husband ordered the Garcias deluxe and he really liked it. My mom also had the soup and loved it. My dad and little brother split the Garcias nachos and they all but licked the plate clean. Haha It truly an awesome place to go. The atmosphere is great. We will continue to go there for as long as they have their doors open. It’s a family favorite.

See Steve B.‘s review! I think the Seguin location does everything the right way, the tortillas have a different taste and texture that I really enjoy and the rice and beans are much better/authentic. I should have known that the Garcia’s food would be better in Seguin, I can walk into many places in Seguin and get a nice plate of good Mexican food. This location has reasonably cheap prices while the other location prices are going up by $ 1 – 2, lucky Seguin! Also, this Garcia’s has a daily plate special that runs all day which includes a tea, love this! I went wild and ordered the Tres Garcias because I wanted to try different types of enchiladas and the plate did not disappoint! The Tres Garcias serves one cheese enchilada topped with queso(TOTALSCORE), chicken enchilada topped with sour cream sauce, and a beef enchilada with chili sauce. My favorites were the cheese enchilada(imagine yourself in a queso filled pool… mmmmmmm) and the chicken was stuffed with flavorful/juicy chicken goodness and the cream sauce was amaze! Servers were sweet and made our dining experience a pleasant one. Make it a priority to order copious amounts of queso!

Outstanding. Every single item from fajitas to taco salad have been excellent. Service can be a bit slow when they are very busy, but no different from any other restaurant. I have tried a lot of the local Mexican restaurants, but hands down Garcia’s is a clear winner with our family.

I’ve been here before and the food is good, but the service always makes me hesitant to come back. We went today, were seated and sat for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement, so we left, also with no acknowledgement. Mexican restaurants in this town are a dime a dozen so I think I’ll be skipping this from now on.

We thought we had eaten at every Garcia’s, but this one, so it was a «must do» to complete the chain. We went on Friday evening expecting that we would probably have a wait. We were not expecting to have to park down the street. That is a pretty good indication of what people think of this place. We walked in, waded through the crowd, and signed in. Many people were in front of us, so we thought it would’ve a long wait. However, we got seated in about 20 minutes. Our server brought menu’s, chips, and salsa quickly. We ordered some chips and queso, and looked over the menu. The menu was nearly identical to other Garcia’s, so we all knew what we were ordering. I go back and forth between Tres Garcia’s and their spicy beef fajitas Nortenas. This time the fajitas won out. Our server brought our food out quickly, refilled the chips, and the drinks. This food was soooo good! It nearly surpassed what we have always thought about the food at the original Garcia’s. The server, Cecy, was awesome. She may be the best that we have ever had. Seriously! Will we return? Even though Seguin is not within our usual traveling area, we will definitely go back to this location. I thought that this was the final Garcia’s to try, but found out that they have another location in Lockhart. I always eat barbecue in Lockhart, but it looks like I am going to have to add Mexican to my trips. Then I will be able to say that I have been to all of the Garcia’s chain

I have ate here several times and always out of something. Tonight it was rice. What’s funny they are to lazy to walk across the block to HEB I’ve yet to understand why some restaurants have no idea how to handle inventory and to replace in a quick action when they do accidentally run out of a product that’s on the menu or part of the menu, et al rice, ketchup, mustang, peppers etc.

I’m having the«Plate of the Week» chicken enchiladas with chipotle sauce with a side of charro beans. First let me say. Garcia’s is a great place to eat. I have eaten here numerous times and have never had any problems. The food is good Tex-Mex style mexican food, the service is never lacking, and the prices are very reasonable. If your looking for a comfortable place to eat. This is a good place to eat.

I don’t know why everyone is down on the service. We tried this place out the other night and the service and prices were great! We were greeted and seated immediately, our drinks and food came out almost as fast and the waitress checked on us several times throughout our meal. They were VERY busy so we were a little concerned about trying it due to the other reviews about being white and poor service. At least 50% of the people in there were white. Y’all must have gone on an off night. Everyone was friendly and attentive and the food was awesome! Try it! You won’t be disappointed. Our bill was under $ 25 for two people with beer.

Yes, I’m a fan of the food for sure but the service ISTERRIBLE. The hostess is slow to seat you(even when the place is not busy), the wait staff is slow to wait on you, slow to bring you refills, and slow to bring you your check. The food, especially those chips and salsa, is good. If you’ve ever eaten at an El Fenix restaurant in the Dallas/Fort Worth area you will recognize those chips and that salsa. I think someone copied their recipe for making them. Their food is quite good but not as good as other people will tell you it is. I’ve heard people rave about it and say it is the best in Texas, not true. It’s just good food. Let me tell you, if you can deal with just about the worst service you will ever get from a wait staff then it is worth eating at Garcia’s. Seguin has a large Hispanic population and I think Garcia’s caters to them, not so much the white folk!
