They are under new ownership and are HORRIBLE now. We went and ordered spicy chicken dinner and chicken kabob to go. When we got home and I opened my chicken kabob I was shocked to see you only get 1 kabob now, you use to get 2. The dressing that comes on the salad now tastes terrible, It looked like a Italian but was very bitter and I didn’t even eat my salad!!! They also cut the portion size of the rice and veggies and changed the veggies. I liked the zucchini and carrots but now you get mushrooms(which I HATE) and carrots! They are way overpriced for what you get now. We use to love this place and went at least 2 – 3 times a month but now we won’t go again! The new owner is going to put this place out of business!

I used to go here almost twice a week when I first started working in Selma. The food was good and the service was quick. The last two times I have went have been horrible. About a month ago my wife and I went in for lunch. We both ordered fatoush salads with shish kebab. Our food was taking forever and finally 30 minutes later a server came by and ask us what we had ordered. We politely told him and then he explained to us that our order would be an other 15 minutes. They obviously did not put our order in. We explained that we were unhappy and that this was taking forever. The server then told us the food would be out in 5 minutes and it still look 15 minutes. The server gave us a 15% discount for our troubles. Then when the food came out they gave us the wrong order. Two weeks later I decided to give it a try again. I called in an order and went in to pick it up 15 minutes like they had stated on the phone. Once I arrived the same server was at the front. I said I was there for a to go order, before I could even tell him that I called it in, he stated that they were very busy. I did in fact tell him my order and he said it would be 15 more minutes. He never even put in the order!!! I walked out and I am never walking in again. So sad since the food is good and the service used to be good. I don’t know if they are under new ownership or what the deal is. But they botched it two times in a row. Not once did I hear an apology, only that they were busy. Well if they keep treating customers like this, they will not be busy for long.

This place may be the best kept secret in Fresno County! The place is simple; located off the beaten path, but the food was wonderful. We had chicken Kabob and the Salmon. The meat was prepared perfectly. Great seasoning; The salad and veggies fresh and very tasty– the pilaf fluffy and pleasantly seasoned. The chef personally checked to ask our opinion. Great! Oh! And the prices were very modest. Two blocks south of town, across from the RR tracks, you have to be going there to discover it. A simple rectangular building — with delightful Mediterranean and American fare

As you can see I generally only review places I absolutely enjoy. First thing was that I ordered the chicken fatoush salad and spicy chicken entrees. I got a funny look and question whether I really wanted both as they were big. I said, «sure bring it on.» That one ol’ fatoush salad took me on and whipped my butt. I didn’t get close to trying the spicy chicken, which is fine cuz the looks amazing and will be breakfast in the morn. As far as the chicken fatoush salad this is a man’s salad, not just in size. The romaine was chopped a larger than a traditional fatoush salad and was like just plucked from the field. It not only holds the dressing better due to the size, it also feels like one is eating a meal rather than rabbit food. The chicken was amazing and spiced just right. Perfect mix of tang and olive oil, mmmmmm. I just think that when it is all put together it takes on its own identity and becomes more than the sum of its parts and trust me when I say I would eat the individual parts all day long. Cant wait to try the spicy chicken im walkimg out with. What I can say is that this kills 98% of Mediterranean places around Dallas. I would love to have them in my neck of the woods.

Went to Famous tonight for an early Dinner. This place is excellent. Had the stir fry chicken, was very good. My son had shish and said it was the best ever. My daughter in law had the vegetarian plate, it looked very good with a great sample of various items. Thanks Greg and staff for a great meal

There is a new chef and he’s amazing. The table I was with kept saying how amazing their food was and I completely agree! I had the chicken stir fry and the new garlic sauce they have is soo much better! Someone else had a steak and it was huge and looked yummy! Someone else had the lamb kabob and he kept saying it was the best lamb he had! Also had the hummus and it was delish! Only thing is our waiter was not great at all a little socially awkward and the Décor could use an update and a cleaning.

My girlfriend had been here several times but I had not. We ended up here one night after walking out of another kebab restaurant(George’s Hye Street Grill) down the street due to questionable business choices on their part. Oh I’m glad we did!!! This place had incredible food. We ordered the humus appetizer which at first they were out of which threw me a bit. A mediteranean restarant our of humus? :) But they quickly made some moe and it was delicious. My girlfriend and I split the kebab combo(chicken, shish, and lula) and it was outstanding. The garlic sauce was delicious and the veggies were plentiful and cooked perfect. the salad was excellent also and even though we split a meal she brought out two full salads for us. My son got the chicken Kebab and it was also good. My son is a 15 year old human food disposal and even he couldn’t finish the meal. We had an entire meal left over which made a great lunch the next day. We will definitely be returning often.

Very clean & pleasant. Quick service but no refills were offered, maybe because we showed up too close to closing time. The salad was very good, the pilaf very ordinary. My date had the lamb, which he loved. I had the beef gyro. I liked it & will try the chicken next time. The iced tea was perfect: not weak or strong.

Finally tried this place out today with a friend. I guess I was a little too afraid to be letdown as is common with restaurants in Selma. I really enjoy Mediterranean food and the problem with Mediterranean food as it is often overpriced which was not the case here. Ordered two appetizers two entrées and a drink and it came in at about the $ 30 mark. Portion sizes were well above average. This place definitely doesn’t go by the motto«feed them don’t fill them» Because I got full. Stepped in for earlier lunch than usual to beat the crowd service was very good and entertaining. I like the open kitchen almost felt like a kitchen bar. I guess the only downfall is the building and atmosphere is very unassuming. But really when it comes to good food that should be secondary anyway. I’ll definitely be going back again and again.

They’re sign says that they are open on Monday. I called and eventually drove by, and they were not open. They don’t always answer their phone. Often I receive a busy signal or voicemail. If you decide to drop in to place an order, because they never answered the phone. Expect to wait for them to catch up on a «big order». An order so big that they even neglect the seated guests that have been waiting patiently for their orders. Finally don’t expect to leave with your food. I canceled my order after waiting for 15 minutes. 15 minutes isn’t bad. But they hadn’t even started my salad. Good thing they got that«big order». But if you somehow make it through all that. They make a decent kabob.

Very disappointed in this place. The kebobs were dry and never got any flat bread after asking several times… yes several. :/Very small place in a strange location. Make the drive to fresno or visalia instead.

The food was good. I got the rice bowl with chicken and fatoush salad. Meat was tender and the rice pilaf was excellent. The fatoush salad was great I enjoyed my meal. We ordered 13 dishes for work to be delivered. Some minor complaints but nothing big. There was a mandatory 15% added to our tab but they did give us individual bills and all containers were clearly marked.

This is a new favorite place. We only have eaten here at lunchtime midweek, but it always has a good crowd. I have had the Chicken Kebab and Spicy Chicken dishes. Both are extremely good-love the garlic sauce! I like spice so I’m sometimes unaware if it’s too spicy for some people… so can’t really help ya there. I always prefer ordering rice and vegetables, but my husband loves to get a Fatoush Salad. We always are looking for a chance to sneak away to Mediterranean Grill in Fresno for lunch, but now that we know this is here… it definitely satisfies the craving.
