A really neat little historic site tucked away off I-35. Once upon a time, back when SA to Austin was a few days of hard traveling, stage coach stops were a frequent landmark for a little rest, refreshing the horses or bunking down for the night. In addition to a break from the trail, they also provided protection from roving bandits and marauders. The Selma stop has some great educational markers to show the history of the place and some artifacts from in and around the structure. For the modern weary traveler, there’s a playground for the kids and very new sparkling bathrooms. Very well worth a 15 minute diversion when you’re in the part of I-35.
