This Ford Dealership has the worst service department in history. It is incapable of actually fixing an engine. I took my mother in law’s Ford F150 which broke down during our vacation with a valve/lifter problem. After all day, they determine the lifter had come loose and bent the valve. They proceeded to tell me that I needed to replace the engine since it had metal in it. SERIOUSLY… metal has to be missing to be in the engine and the Valve never came in contact with the piston. I then proceeded to explain my theory. After a lengthy discussion which included them telling me that they could not rebuild the head there… I then suggested sending it out to Precision Machine Shop… They could not do that, they agreed to replace the head with a brand new one from Ford. The price of the work was to be $ 5700.00. Staggaring, but I was out of town and I would have a Ford warranty. The VERYNEXTMORNING… I get a call from them. NOW they are telling me that their 25 Year Mechanic claims that the Main Bearing could have shifted choking off the oil supply to the head and that is why the head failed. That they cannot fix the engine and had to replace the engine with a new one $ 9000.00. Myself. having rebuilt many engines is now privately thinking … and maybe the tooth ferry flew into the Valve Cover and placed her thumb over the ports blocking the oil too! I kindly caught my breath and asked them to button up the engine and I would send a wrecker for it. I called over to Rick’s Service Center who rebuild the left and right side heads, replaced the cam, replaced the Cam phasers, installed a new timing chain kit … basically rebuilt the entire top end for 4200.00 which included taxes and towing. Bottom line, short of an oil change, these people want to replace your engine from the start.

This place is unbelievable. My wife and I had trailered our motorcycles in from Maryland to enjoy the mountain roads. Upon arriving we heard a problem that sounded bad. I had narrowed it down to something in the 4 wheel drive system on the truck. I took it over at 8am on a Monday and saw the appointment book and was worried that they were busy until the day I was leaving, which was Wednesday. The nice lady in service told me she would do her best to have it looked at by noon that day. Around 10:30 I gota call and Stan the technician started chatting about the potential problem but that he couldn’t duplicate it. He suggested a quick fix to eliminate the common problem, and if the noise came back, to change it up real quick and it would easily get me home. We picked the truck up and when I tried to pay, the dealership told me they couldn’t find a problem so there was no charge. I was shocked as he did test the 4 wheel drive system, road test and also try a quick fix. I tipped him money to go buy lunch and he wouldn’t take it and I had to insist. The fix he did ended up not working, but his second solution was perfect and got us to our next destination and home and I know the problem. Huge thanks to this dealership for being honest people. The stress level quickly was gone and they allowed us to enjoy the next 5 days of our vacation without worrying.
