So i had to hold a family event at this place, basically a banquet style menu, they offer multiple menus and they obviously can modify a few items. We opted for the lowest priced menu(i think $ 70), the food was flowing non stop and it was great, the quality of food was really good, kebabs were amazing. Later in the night live music started, they have a man and a woman, both really lit up the place. Everyone really enjoyed the food, drinks were plenty, the whole atmosphere was great. Obviously Brooklyn has so many Russian restaurants to hold an even in, Baku Palace, Skazka, Chinar, Orion, and other ones, this one honestly stands out. The price you pay for the food quality, amount, entertainment and service is great, way better than others(and others are pretty good too). Larissa is the manager there, she did a good job, the even went flawlessly. They did a great job and i give them all the credit for it. One minor item, Julien(mushroom dish) wasn’t that good, the rest was great.

Wow this place is seriously the best. The shish kebabs remind me from back home. The best thing about this place is that it’s crazy cheap!!! Every kebab place in Brooklyn is way overpriced. Try it guys!!! Really worth every penny!

I’ve been a big fan of the restaurant that has been occupying this space previously, so when the new sign went up I was quite excited. Got some food to go for the first time today and am glad to report that my initial experience has been a positive one! The interior is pretty much as it has been(a good thing, as it’s cozy) — the only change I’ve observed was that the paintings on the walls have changed to the views of Baku(appropriate to the name). The waitress who took my order was pleasant and the management was friendly as well. Had a brief chat with them about the liquor situation — they are currently BYOB and expect to get their liquor license in a few weeks, but the liquor store on the next block mitigates the situation meanwhile. Anyway, on to the food! Ordered grilled veggies, lamb chops, and a chicken kebab. Everything was good — vegetables nicely charred and smokey, chicken deliciously marinaded and juicy, and the lamb chops where grilled to perfection, its portion being more generous than some of other places I’ve ordered from. Both lamb and chicken came with long grain rice and pomegranate seeds(which is way better than the plain rice that most similar places serve) and raw red onion. The only suggestion I have is that they offer kebabs a la carte(unless I’ve missed that option on the menu), so a customer can put together a mixed grill plate of his own liking without having to order multiple platters with rice and onions. That being said the place have hit the high marks for me — a kitchen that cares and a pleasant staff, so I am looking forward to eating in there in the future.
