Hands down freshest fish in the burlington area. Got the chirashi and every piece of fish tasted as though it was just bought from the fish market. On top of that, they have the cheapest chirashi in town and they gave me all fish. Not the egg or that cheap crap. Also, the fish was a full piece not a small ½ serving that other places in town give. Definitely go here!

Terrible service, TERRIBLE sushi. I’m no snob about it either, but I couldn’t even finish mine because I was afraid I would get sick. My moms broccoli beef was mediocre, too.

My husband and I were in the Burlington area for the weekend and Chef Leu’s was right down the street from our hotel. We decided to check the place out after our concierge recommended it. The ambience inside the restaurant was very cozy and welcoming, and service was friendly and quick. Our waitress was more than willing to accommodate my husband when he asked for egg drop/wonton soup, even though it wasn’t on the menu. My hot and sour soup was delicious and the broth was a perfect consistency. It was just what my throat needed, since I was fighting off a cold at the time. For our entrees, I ordered shrimp with garlic sauce and my husband got chicken and broccoli. The garlic sauce on my meal had an excellent flavor, but my husband was even more thrilled with his sauce, which was white, rather than the typical brown. He said the taste reminded him of a Chinese restaurant he used to visit as a kid in New Jersey. That place is no longer in business and my husband says he’s never found Chinese food that compared to its quality… until now. The only disappointment about our Chef Leu’s meal is that we live 5 hours away from Burlington and can’t easily go back whenever we want. Who knew we’d have to go all the way to Vermont to find such delicious Chinese food, when there are so many Asian restaurants right in our own backyard?! We’ll definitely make Chef Leu’s a part of future trips up that way!

Chef Leu’s is a quality Asian food experience with friendly and welcoming staff and beautifully renovated dining room. The food is delicious with many options, at a reasonable price too!

Some of the best Chinese food around although it is a little pricier. Have never gotten anything I didn’t enjoy and they have a great selection of curry too. They also deliver and have one of the shortest wait times for delivery I have experienced.

Lunch was one of the best bargains around. The specials are a complete meal… And I have respect when a Chinese restaurant provides a pot of tea at no extra cost. The taste of my chicken(hot/spicy) was first class. Good service.

Ok I really really don’t like to give one star or dislike a restaurant but I decided to give them a try tonight. I walked in. There was a Sushi chef working behind the bar. There was a loud sound like a bell when I entered so they could not miss my entrance. There was a guy at the bar. There was a few tables. I waited and waited and yes I looked at my phone and timed my wait. At 6 and one half minutes with no one coming I left the restaurant. The Sushi chef could have looked up and said we will be right with you but never acknowledged my presence by even looking at me. I will never be back so I can’t talk about the food but their service is terrible

I’ve been eating here for about two years and it’s always very good. The sushi is always excellent. The atmosphere is clean, contemporary, and relaxing. The service is always great! I usually order the same items and they’re always consistent, delicious, and fresh. My favorite from the sushi menu is the Sake Bomb Roll. The combination of salmon, hot sauce, and jalapeño is refreshing and tasty! The Sakura and Nagoya Rolls are quite good too. The Dynamite Roll is good and has an artistic presentation. In fact, all the sushi plates could be out of a food magazine – they’re as nice to look at as they are delicious! The basic Spicy Salmon roll is very good too. The egg rolls are just right comfort food, and I usually start with one, before the sushi. Everything about Chef Leu’s is fantastic and I highly recommend it!

I ordered take out and it was excellent! Great quality sushi. I had yellow tail which was uniform in color and moisture, obviously freshly prepared, just as you’d expect. No shortcuts for volume sake and nothing«border line fresh.» Miso soup was perfectly balanced, not to salty, salad was crisp and fresh. Very nice presentation, separation of rolls, sushi and ginger in the container. Hats off!!!

Great place to hang out and chill with your family. They have sushi and it is really good. If you live in Shelburne it’s a lot fast to come and get sushi than driving all the way to Koto’s and their prices are reasonable and they are really good. I strongly recommend the Sushi boat for 2 and the Thai Curry.

Great food, my favorite Chinese restaurant in the entire state. Owners and staff are especially helpful in recommending a meal if you’re overwhelmed by the huge selection of Chinese, Thai, or Japanese dishes they offer. I strongly suggest the fried or steamed dumplings.

Average chinese staples: meat plus veggie such as beef with broccoli. Every dish had cabbage which is a bit unusual compared to more traditional places in san Francisco snd LA. But everything was fresh.

This review is based on the Peking duck alone. I’m not a big fan of the rest of the menu. I will say this is the best Chinese restaurant in the Burlington area next to A Single Pebble. The menu is geared towards Chinese American food rather than authentic Chinese. I haven’t found another place that sells Peking duck and I used to order half of it then pick it up. The price is not cheap as a whole one will cost you a good penny but half isn’t that bad. It comes with wrappers and green onions. The duck tastes fresh and also conveniently cut for you so it’s easy to eat. Don’t expect the duck to be too authentic either, but given that I’m not from Beijing, it was good for me. Besides the food, I do like the ambience of the place. It’s small and comfortable. A Chinese family friend actually recommended it. I recommend skipping the rest of the meal and going for the delicious Peking duck. They also have a roasted duck option which I’ve never tried but always wanted to.

Awesome place to eat, great local«owner operated» service!!! All food is FRESH! Would eat here every night. I travel for work all over the U.S., & this is one of the BEST Chinese restaurants found so far, really quiet place too!!! Very cheap price for the food, a very rare find.

My absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in Vermont. Yeah, I know it’s not like the authentic Chinese food I had in China(which I really didn’t care for) but for us Americans who are used to the Chinese food here, this is the best!

Whirling wontons, Batman, Vermont actually has a good Chinese restaurant! The menu is «traditional» Chinese-American food, so it leans to the egg rolls and kung pao and ma po tofu and whatnot, brown sauces on everything, but it’s SOGOOD. I had an egg roll — it was crisp, but not greasy at all, with the most deliciously textured wrapper, and finely shredded, extremely tasty cabbages etc inside. So good. They’ll also make you food that’s actually spicy, which is rare in Vermont. I also had one of the Szecheuan-style tofu dishes — I forget which one exactly — and it was utterly delightful. Actual chili peppers danced before my eyes. The tofu had a firm, intricate texture without being spongy or chewy. The vegetables were cooked to peak color and crunch perfection. And, ye though the sauce was brown, it wasn’t sugary, clingy, or saturated with MSG. That was a damn tasty meal, my friends. The service was fantastic, friendly and polite and very accomodating. A friend I was with has a weird food allergy, and the waitress made absolutely sure she was safe. They also finish off the meal with cubed pineapple, in addition to the usual fortune cookies — so deicious. I may never wash this hand that held the chopsticks again, I’m that enamoured. Don’t go to Single Pebble, go here.
