Silver Pine Family Physicians

I like my PCP Dr. Maristela, and have been a patient of his for 8 years. Unfortunately Silver Pine Family Physicians has gone south. Over the last year I have waited between 30 – 50 minutes after my appointment time to get into a room. Then it is another 20 minutes before the doctor comes in. I feel like Dr. Maristela tries to give me time and not rush, but the wait time is ridiculous and is now the new normal.
As I write this review it is noon and my appointment was for 11:00. I have yet to see the doctor. I am wondering if all doctors are like this or if I should find a new PCP. It’s too bad because I like my doctor but waiting over an hour to see him is quite inconvenient and not fun especially when sick. That is why Silver Pine Family Physicians gets 2 stars.

I cant believe the lower reviews. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences.
Wait times are better in the mornings if you can make it. Maybe wait times could be a little faster. But you are going to wait at any doctor office.
Dr. Prameela Patel is such a great person and easy to talk to. I will always go to her. You can really tell she cares for you and really wants to help. Such a kind soul. I HIGHLY recommend her if you are looking for a primary care doctor. A+
The office is small but in a decent location. They have even upgraded to an electronic filing system and everything is filled out using a Ipad touch screen system. It may be a hassle for older generation but it was great for me. You even swipe your card using the ipad. Super COOL.
On a side note– there is a bathroom in the waiting area if you need it.

I began going to Silver Pine back in 2006 and really like it. At that time they had one office. I moved back to Michigan in 2012 and came back to this office for medications and annual physicals. My last physical lasted about 4 minutes. I understand as a nurse the need for efficiency but I feel really rushed every time I go in for a visit. I think about other PCPs I’ve seen in the last 10 years and I don’t get that rush feeling. I’m going to be looking for a new doctor.

This office is extremely unprofessional and not responsive. The doctors do not care about their patients at all. Also, we were told that we could pick up a prescription anytime and came in today and I have so far waited 3 hours now with no doctor responding. The doctors here only want to make a quick buck off your insurance. Stay away.

Doctors don’t spend enough time with patients. They are over booked and pressed for time
