If I could give zero stars I would. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. Go to Pro Nails on Marion St instead.

I typically don’t write reviews… In fact I had to download the Unilocal app and sign up specifically to leave this one! Generally I wouldn’t bother but this time it’s worth it! On a Friday at 4:30 pm you would think you may have a hard time finding a nail salon to fit in three manicures and pedicures! Not M and T(on hwy 74 beside Sushi Dojo). They said by phone that they could fit us in… and they were right! Less that one hour later… we know why. It wasn’t a horrible experience to begin with… however halfway into the pedicure my nail lady switched to a client with an appointment and it was down hill from there. By that time four other people were waiting and you could tell it was to be rush job from then on. After stating explicitly to multiple workers that we wanted mani and pedi’s, the new lady wrapped up with my toes and had me move to the manicure section. It wasn’t long into the«manicure» when I realized multiple steps were being omitted… Before I had a chance to question the lady she begins rudely and forcefully telling me to put my hand under the lamp. I was so confused I put the wrong hand in as she grabbed my other one hurriedly and pushed it toward the lamp… all while saying something I couldn’t understand… This messed up my nails on the hand I had inappropriately placed in the lamp to which she acted very inconvenienced… After things calmed down and she finished painting my nails she told me I was done and motioned me to the waiting area hastily. I asked if she was going to massage my arms and she and the guy doing nails next to her both said«too late». Come to find out I didn’t get a manicure. Just paint. I was confused at that point but okay… It wasn’t until they explained to my friend that there is a $ 15 difference in just paint versus a manicure… And that you want the manicure so that the gel appropriately adheres to the nail(not removing the cuticle can cause issues with this)! At that point I spoke up and asked for a discount. I explained that I had asked for a manicure… And now could potentially be paying half the price for something that would last no more than a few days. All of this was according to the explanation they gave my friend. I was answered with an unconcerned, uniformly flat«no» and nothing further. M and T nails showed absolutely no concern for building rapport with their customers. They demonstrated that they have little time and interest in correcting their mistakes and even less in compensating customers for them. If you are looking for a nail place that tries to zip through your mani and pedi, does not give you what you request, tells your friend that to forgo the very thing that you requested would potentially cause a poor outcome and then refuses to discount you for potentially forcing that outcome on you… Walk through the doors of M and T. I most certainly will not be returning!
